Apr 8, 2010I just got my e71 and its great. However I also view a lof of files in Chinese. Any chance I can get it to display Chinese characters instead of some weird squres?

Recently I've updated my n8 to symbian anna and unfortunately I cannot see Chinese text messages from my friends. All the Chinese characters become small squares. In the language settings of the phone, I can only see English, French, Spanish.....All of them are European languages. I heard that only Asian versions of Nokia can support Chinese, I don't know why Nokia carries out this god damned **bleep**ing policy but can anyone show some tips to me in how to make Chinese charaters appear again on my N8?

I have an issue where when i load on songs that are in Chinese, some of the song names do not display in chinese (its just random symbols). However some of the songs do display correctly. Aug 4, 2010I bought an X6 last week. I'm in Australia, and realized later, after signing a contract for 2 years, that the phone doesn't support Chinese or any European languages. It only comes with English and Philipino. If I get a text in Chinese, it won't display...it just displays squares. Nor can I use the keyboard to input Chinese characters.
Nokia won't provide a solution. They won't supply a software upgrade or any help. The dealers privately tell me I would have to take it to a non-authorized repairer to get a software change or try to find some software elsewhere, maybe a torrent file or from some other untrustworthy software source.

May 8, 2010i have been upgrade my phone (nokia 5800) by myself today. after i update my nokia 5800 from version 20 to version 40.0.005. i found that i lost my language that i have in phone. after a few hours, i get to know that, there is no chinese in version 40.0.005. So with this Post message, i would like to ask about, is there any way to get back my language pack that i have last time? because I really need Chinese in my nokia 5800,i m from malaysia here there is a lot malaysian using this phone.. i guess they might have the same problem like me in addition, i can;t get to connect to the Wifi.. after i update my version too. when i press Wifi Icon, it will give me a pop up msg, and wrote "system error" i hav b tried in "Nokia Software Updater" to keep on reinstall my Nokia 5800 software version. but still the same. because i still get the same pop up msg. So i really hope that Nokia service department will get to solve this problem as soon as posible. thank u so much.

Jun 7, 2010I bought an X6 during mid May, fully expecting to be able to use the "fullscreen handwriting for Chinese" function to write chinese. However, after weeks of researching, there seems to be no such function! What's even worst, Nokia (AU) totally removed this description from their X6 specifications 2 week after I bought this phone! I did, however, save a bookmark of the older specs just to serve as evidence that they did mention the X6 had chinese input capabilities. Help! is there anyway that I can get around this and allow my phone to type chinese??? Did nokia make a big mistake and try to cover this up by deleting the specs on their website? I've emailed them but they have yet to reply. I feel ripped off and that my phone did not serve its intended product purpose.
