I have a UK origin 5200 which I use to talk to friends and contacts in China. However it will not display chinese characters. Can I download a chinese font? If so does a 5200 use ttf fonts? If all else fails does any UK origin Nokia device support chinese?

Which regions of Nokia 808 pureview support display of traditional Chinese characters? Can the singapore model display that? Input support would be nice but not essential.

When I connect my E61i (USB) to my computer and send a TEXT message, I do get the message in the SEND ITEMS of the phone.
If I connect (to that same computer) my 5200, then the message is NOT visible within the SEND ITEMS (although the message is send).
I have nokia 5200 and when the gprs settings are sent to my phone an error message "only 70 sets allowed settings discarded" displays.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought an X6 last week. I'm in Australia, and realized later, after signing a contract for 2 years, that the phone doesn't support Chinese or any European languages. It only comes with English and Philipino. If I get a text in Chinese, it won't display...it just displays squares. Nor can I use the keyboard to input Chinese characters.
Nokia won't provide a solution. They won't supply a software upgrade or any help. The dealers privately tell me I would have to take it to a non-authorized repairer to get a software change or try to find some software elsewhere, maybe a torrent file or from some other untrustworthy software source.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have been upgrade my phone (nokia 5800) by myself today. after i update my nokia 5800 from version 20 to version 40.0.005. i found that i lost my language that i have in phone. after a few hours, i get to know that, there is no chinese in version 40.0.005. So with this Post message, i would like to ask about, is there any way to get back my language pack that i have last time? because I really need Chinese in my nokia 5800,i m from malaysia here there is a lot malaysian using this phone.. i guess they might have the same problem like me in addition, i can;t get to connect to the Wifi.. after i update my version too. when i press Wifi Icon, it will give me a pop up msg, and wrote "system error" i hav b tried in "Nokia Software Updater" to keep on reinstall my Nokia 5800 software version. but still the same. because i still get the same pop up msg. So i really hope that Nokia service department will get to solve this problem as soon as posible. thank u so much.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought an X6 during mid May, fully expecting to be able to use the "fullscreen handwriting for Chinese" function to write chinese. However, after weeks of researching, there seems to be no such function! What's even worst, Nokia (AU) totally removed this description from their X6 specifications 2 week after I bought this phone! I did, however, save a bookmark of the older specs just to serve as evidence that they did mention the X6 had chinese input capabilities. Help! is there anyway that I can get around this and allow my phone to type chinese??? Did nokia make a big mistake and try to cover this up by deleting the specs on their website? I've emailed them but they have yet to reply. I feel ripped off and that my phone did not serve its intended product purpose.

Recently I've updated my n8 to symbian anna and unfortunately I cannot see Chinese text messages from my friends. All the Chinese characters become small squares. In the language settings of the phone, I can only see English, French, Spanish.....All of them are European languages. A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
I have a telus Htc hero and i already rooted my phone and installed modaco Chinese core Rom. I still cannot view chinese txt msg from other ppl (telus or rogers) I can type chinese without any problem. anyone tried different method?

So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..
