I'm using Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.6 on Windows XP (SP2).
When I connect my E61i (USB) to my computer and send a TEXT message, I do get the message in the SEND ITEMS of the phone.
If I connect (to that same computer) my 5200, then the message is NOT visible within the SEND ITEMS (although the message is send).
I have a UK origin 5200 which I use to talk to friends and contacts in China. However it will not display chinese characters. Can I download a chinese font? If so does a 5200 use ttf fonts? If all else fails does any UK origin Nokia device support chinese?

I was a proud owner of Nokia E61i until yesterday.
I went to sleep last night and everything was working fine, and when I woke up this morning my phone was totally blank.
At first I thought it probably just turned itself off because of the battery but the battery was fully charged. I cannot see anything, the screen looks as if the phone is turned off, but in fact the phone is on since I can here the keypad tones when I press anything.
where can i download a radio application for my E61i that does't need to connect to internet or packet data connection.

I then export the updated contacts into Excel and other (tab, csv) formats for safekeeping. Now that I have upgraded to Windows 7 I am lost as to what to do. I am a new user of Xperia Mini.As the upgrade to the ICS is not easily reversible, I would like to know what exact changes to camera interface/behaviour are introduced in the update.
Particularly:
- is the touch focus still available?
- can the big shutter button be hidden?
I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHave a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

I have problem with my E61i. When I'm using it, surfing etc, everything works slighty, but when I put it on table, and phone go standby, than network disappear, and phone restart. If I don't touch phone it just keeps restarting after first standby. I notice that phone have no problems on charger too. I have updated to latest software and no success. So phone is ok on charger and when I use it, and standby made it loose network first, than blank screen and restart.

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

Now I have this problem with the Nokia Suite not upgrading firmware without the sim card.I use nokia now mostly as a GPS and a Wi-fi net browsing device, so I would like to get the new map version since the current one (v3.01 09wk44 b01) keeps crashing when synchronizing favs. I downloaded the .sis file from softpedia (v3.03 10wk11 b04) but get certificate errors when trying to install it. Does anybody know where can I get a signed map, latest version for nokia n95, with a fix for the sync crash? (It does get sync'ed but closes every time)
View 4 Replies View Relatedi'm using a nokia n8 phone and i used to keep a copy of my photos and videos on my pc using nokia suite, i just clicked on the gallery sync. button and it was done.i recently bought a new memory card and i started downloading videos by the (Internet downloader) app. i have now like 7gb of videos on my memory card.the problem is that now every time i try to sync. the gallery, nokia suite makes a copy of all downloaded videos on my computer. is it possible to set nokia suite to sync. only the photos and the videos taken by the camera and ignore the downloaded videos?

Ovi Suite says: Connect the device although the device is already connected.The other option happens after I connect the device. View 10 Replies View RelatedTrying to get my N97 to connect up to my Win 7 laptop.Every time i try and connect through OVI, when attempting to reach connection it either states "N97 not in USB pc suitemode" (here i have told the phone to automatically connect in PC Suite) there is no problem seeing the phone on the machine thats fine, the main problem is OVI.
PC Suite 7.1.4 - i cant even get this to install, i reach install step 5/6, it doesnt even try and i recieve the error " Installation operation failed - the system cannot find the file specified"
I desperatly need this to work to update the handsets firmware. to do this i need to back it up, to do that i need to use OVI or PC Suite!
