I can edit and add names to the sites and places in the Nokia Maps. For example, in the theater of my province listed as "City Theatre", but actually called "Gran Teatro de la Ciudad". I want to edit, add and edit the names as many are wrongly written and other misplaced.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 XM with Ovi Maps v 3.03. Is it possible to make the street names larger in size? The street names are only 1 milimeter in height in both 2D and 3D view, regardless of zoom level. I am aware there is the street name you are currently on in the center top section in a larger font size, which definitely helps, but it would be nice to have the larger fonts for surrounding streets.Also, is there a way to get rid of the white bar on the right side that houses the "search" and "menu" links? The 5800's screen is already small for GPS standards, and this white bar subtracts almost 1 cm of valuable screen real-estate. It would be nice to not have the white bar and have the "search" and "menu" links stay where they are, but perhaps have a white highlight around the letters or something like that.

For me it just says "Turn right in 1 mile" .. no street name! It would be very helpful if this feature was included. Am I missing something on how to enable text to speech so that it speaks street names?

Now this new one has started and I don't know if it's a bug that I can fix or not, randomly it loses the contact name associations when I open up the text message inbox. It just comes up with the phone numbers, the contacts are still there and when I reset the phone it goes back to normal.

Instead, every message is identified by the phone number. So whereas before I could easily id them now its more difficult. Anyone know how I can get the original setting back? Messaging is set to display in groups.

I have checked and language strings are set to English US for voice output.
I am running 5.0 on my GS5 with Google Maps 9.8.1, TTS enabled, US English, etc... (everything that I can think of) and when navigating, no street names are ever spoken. Only "Turn left", etc...
I'd like my street names back.
With the old version of maps I believe that when you chose "Walk" it would provide a path though streets and footpaths from Origin to Destination.Today, in central London I wanted to walk just over 1/2 mile (1km) and asked Maps for a route. It provided one - a straight line between start and destination and not suggesting which streets to use &c.What is teh point of a function if it does not calculate the route?

What happens is, the music goes silent on the FM, the voice instruction and the music is played on the phone speakers (or Bluetooth device, if connected), then at the completion of the instruction the music goes back through the FM transmitter again.

I didn't find it.If I have activate the fm-transmitter in my car and nokia maps is running as well, the output of the music comes over the radio, but the output voice of nokia maps comes over the phone. If any advise comes from nokia maps, the connections interrupt via fm-transmitter completly.During the time of the nokia maps advise both, music and nokia maps, sending the sound via phone. Is there any possibility to avoid that problem?

I also cannot edit anything in my saved Map.So far I have tried this in the default browser as well as with the default Google Maps app that came already installed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my 701, having 111.020.307 firmware, after updating maps from 3.06 to 3.08, i am still getting notification to update to a lower version , and wheneva i try to update it, its update application works but nothing works and when i relaunch my store app , the update notification is still there. Anyone can kindly help me with this? oh and my maps app works perfectly normal and flawlessly. or is this a bug that i cannot help fix it?

How to delete history in OVI maps on 5800 ? Maps > Drive > Set Destination > History -------? How do you delete the entrys that you no longer need?
View 12 Replies View RelatedFor the past few weeks the Maps program will not connect to the internet. It will bring up the local wifi that is available and say that the connection has failed. But all other uses of the internet are perfectly fine. Tried restarting. Firgured next step is to reinstall the whole thing but wanted to see if there was a solution that comes before that whole bit.
