Motorola Atrix :: Not Vibrating When Receiving SMS?
Jun 18, 2012This appears to be a common problem with no resolution (having just done various Google searches). On 2.3.4 with Orange. Always vibrate ticked with sound off I dont get any vibration for incoming SMS. I've tried various combinations a nd can't seem to resolve it. The vibrate option in messaging is also turned on. I think it used to work but can't be sure.

Jan 10, 2012Yesterday my phone suddenly stopped vibrating when I receive a text message. I have my phone settings on "vibrate when in silent mode" (which it is in silent mode) and the text message settings in vibrate. When I check "vibrate" in the messaging settings, the phone vibrates, but not when I am actually receiving a text message. I use no apps for text messaging other than the one installed on the phone. Is anyone else having this problem? I have turned the phone off and took the battery out for about 5 minutes, restarted and still nothing!

Mar 8, 2010I have a problem with receiving calls. Approximately ones a day, a few seconds after my phone is starting to ring, I try to open it (to answer) and it's stuck! And then I can't do anything, except of take out the battery. On the screen I can the phone is still ringing. The software is last version software.

Aug 23, 2010I recently just got my N900 back from Nokia USA repair on the 21st of August 2010. Upon receiving it back, they notified me that they had flashed my phone and installed the latest software updates on it per privacy policy, which is understandable. However, all was fine until I tried making a call, when I realized that the screen no longer automatically shuts off / turns on when either placing it or removing it from my face.When dialing a phone number, the screen automatically shuts off and I have to unlock it from the bottom. It is unresponsive to touches, etc, until I unlock it.
When the screen is on during a phone call, it doesn't shut off unless I lock it from the bottom.When receiving calls, the screen never lights on and I can't see who is calling me unless I unlock the phone first.I have tried flashing it with the latest Maemo 5 USA image, but the problem still persists.

Jun 7, 2010I love the X6 as a music player. It is also a decent phone. However, I have a problem trying to do both.
I have a bluetooth hands-free system built into my car. To listen to music from my phone, I plug a cord from the headphone jack on on the phone to an auxilliary RCA jack in my car. It's the standard way any MP3 player would plug into my car.However, when plugged in like this, I cannot use my bluetooth hands free system to either send or receive calls. Once a call has failed to be placed or received, I then have trouble with calls even if I unplog the cord from the headphone jack.Any ideas? Am I using an incorrect setting somewhere? Is there insufficient phone memory to handle this?

May 2, 20121. I can't disconnect calls. I generally happens when I'm on back to back calls. The phone becomes unresponsive for about 10~15 seconds before you could do anything with it.
2. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, I hear a sharp noise when phone call overlaps music. Once I disconnect the call, the volume in the headsets remains fixed, you can't reduce or increase the volume. The solution here is to remove the headset from phone and plug them back in. If that doesn't work then re-start the phone!

Oct 30, 2014So I've had my M8 since launch, it's been a great phone until the last couple of months. I will have a full signal but people randomly cannot connect to me. I've tested this myself by looking at my phone with full signal and calling it from my land line but it will go immediately to VM, I can call it again ten seconds later and it works, seems totally random.
I've replaced the sim card and sent the phone back to O2 for repair who just claim there is no fault, I'm at my whits end with this as I use it for work and it's causing me serious issues. Sometimes I cannot make calls either in he same fashion.

Is this supposed to be a feature?I think I also observed that the vibrating is gone when the battery is very low. It then does not return until the battery is fully charged again.

May 20, 2012I was just using my nokia lumia 800 normally and then it suddenly shut off. I've tried everything to get it working, soft reset, hard reset, taking the sim out, letting the battery go flat then plugging it in, but nothing worked. Apr 28, 2012I bought a used 5800, and yes, it is a old, 2,5 year old phone with latest software, works good. Only problem is that the vibration doesnt work. No matter is it on or off on profiles, it doesnt vibrate. And it doesnt vibrate even when i turn phone on, like my old 5230 did always vibrate when it boots up, my 5800 doesnt. What is wrong, why vibration doesnt work when someone calls or sends message, or not even vibrating in boot up, boots normally, no vibration.. Is the vibration function broken?
And my model is 5800d-1, is other models always too 5800d-1, or is my different and if yes, what is difference to other 5800's? This is a 2,5 year old Black and Red 5800. Using 52.0.007 firmware.

Apr 27, 2012I have a problem with my lumia 710. The phone stopped vibrating. I tried to reset, switch vibrations on/off, I even downoaded "vibrator"-ish app from marketplace and nothing makes it vibrate. All it does is very quiet clicking that you can hear only when you hold phone close to the ear. I'm pretty sure phone vibrated yesterday and it never fell on the floor or anything like that.

Sep 25, 2015I had had many bugs regarding this phone, but this is one of them. Even though, I have researched and they blamed that it was the SIM card. Replacing a new SIM card might be a solution, but I think this may also be a cause of a defective device since the same SIM card still worked perfectly in another phone. This is my second Sony phone and I will not have a third with any reason.
Other major issue that I also had was the phone was automatically reset and erased all data (including external SD). I also researched and they blamed this might be due to someone logged into google account and triggered it. All right, this can be just an explanation, but since this is a very serious issue since the device could hold all types of data that are very critical to users.
