Nokia :: 5310 Contact Number Displays On Call / Text And Not Contact Name
Jan 2, 2010I wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!

Jun 18, 2015I just got the Z3 and am having an issue with my contacts. When I go to select a contact to call it displays the fax number as default to call. Is there a away to change that? It does it for all contacts that have a fax number, the Phone icon shows up beside the fax number.

Jun 29, 2012i am using N8 111.040.0904 symbian belle,while receiving a call ,almost all calls my phone displaying the number like (+91**********),the same format i have saved in address book with country code.Contacts are unique ,no duplicates,i have deleted the duplicate contacts.
I like NOKIA but this problem irritates me whenever i am receiving a call.

May 2, 20121. I can't disconnect calls. I generally happens when I'm on back to back calls. The phone becomes unresponsive for about 10~15 seconds before you could do anything with it.
2. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, I hear a sharp noise when phone call overlaps music. Once I disconnect the call, the volume in the headsets remains fixed, you can't reduce or increase the volume. The solution here is to remove the headset from phone and plug them back in. If that doesn't work then re-start the phone!

Jun 5, 2012was editing my contact list on my Nokia 6303 ci when unintentionally the battery has been removed. Now all the contacs on phone memory are vanished!! while I still have the contacts which were on my SIM card. ( I have checked memory in use and switched it between Phone and SIM , but it does not work) Is there a way for me ? Jul 27, 2010On my N97 mini i select a contact out of the contact-list, i select the correct phone-number and make the call. After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....

Aug 23, 2010I recently just got my N900 back from Nokia USA repair on the 21st of August 2010. Upon receiving it back, they notified me that they had flashed my phone and installed the latest software updates on it per privacy policy, which is understandable. However, all was fine until I tried making a call, when I realized that the screen no longer automatically shuts off / turns on when either placing it or removing it from my face.When dialing a phone number, the screen automatically shuts off and I have to unlock it from the bottom. It is unresponsive to touches, etc, until I unlock it.
When the screen is on during a phone call, it doesn't shut off unless I lock it from the bottom.When receiving calls, the screen never lights on and I can't see who is calling me unless I unlock the phone first.I have tried flashing it with the latest Maemo 5 USA image, but the problem still persists.

Jun 7, 2010I love the X6 as a music player. It is also a decent phone. However, I have a problem trying to do both.
I have a bluetooth hands-free system built into my car. To listen to music from my phone, I plug a cord from the headphone jack on on the phone to an auxilliary RCA jack in my car. It's the standard way any MP3 player would plug into my car.However, when plugged in like this, I cannot use my bluetooth hands free system to either send or receive calls. Once a call has failed to be placed or received, I then have trouble with calls even if I unplog the cord from the headphone jack.Any ideas? Am I using an incorrect setting somewhere? Is there insufficient phone memory to handle this?
