I have got problem with my N900, Using the phone I can not hear anything but the person I am talking can hear my voice. I ve tried to reset the phone setting and reinstall firmware but didn't help, Please let me know if anybody knows any tricks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently just got my N900 back from Nokia USA repair on the 21st of August 2010. Upon receiving it back, they notified me that they had flashed my phone and installed the latest software updates on it per privacy policy, which is understandable. However, all was fine until I tried making a call, when I realized that the screen no longer automatically shuts off / turns on when either placing it or removing it from my face.When dialing a phone number, the screen automatically shuts off and I have to unlock it from the bottom. It is unresponsive to touches, etc, until I unlock it.
When the screen is on during a phone call, it doesn't shut off unless I lock it from the bottom.When receiving calls, the screen never lights on and I can't see who is calling me unless I unlock the phone first.I have tried flashing it with the latest Maemo 5 USA image, but the problem still persists.
When making/receiving calls i cant hear the other person at all- no sound. I'm able to hear on loudspeaker but obviously this isn't ideal. Nothing has happened to the phone at all, no drops or water damage and it is only about 5/6weeks old.any suggestions please?

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.
It doesn't matter if I or other people call me, my voice cannot be heard at all, not even a whisper.
I did check if I was on mute and wasn't, I don't want to use headphones, just normally talking is what I want.

I bought my xperia x8 last October and havn't used it that much. Just lately when I make a call or receive one, I cannot hear the person on the other end. They can hear me just fine. I can hear my music, ringtones etc. Anything to try before I seek out an repairer. I already tried restarting and resetting to no avail.

When calling with Skype the called party can see and hear me perfectly but I can neither hear nor see them. Normal calls with the 4S work just fine. I tried activating the Skype test call and it connected just fine but I was unavble to hear anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been happily using N900 for Skype video calling.When I first received my phone I was told by my phone company that N900 supports video calling without using Skype(using mobile numbers to other compatible phones via the 3G network)My partner also has a N900 and is not able to make Video Calling either, where when we both had an E72 we had no problems at all.I called Nokia 2 months ago and they said that in Australia, they will have video calling to mobile numbers very soon for the N900. Can anyone at Nokia tell me when this is happening? This was one of the main reasons I bought the N900 as it is promoted to have video calling on 3G as well as Internet (Skype or other).I am keen to use video calling as I work with clients who don't necessarily have Skype, but use video calling nonetheless.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4 and over the last few days I can't hear anyone when they call me or when I call them, however they can hear me. I have been using skype to call people on the phone via 3g and that works fine. It started as crackling and static on the line initally but now there is no sound at all. I've tried cleaing out the charger port and headphones jack, checked all volumes, restarted the phone and changed sim card but still to no avail.

My 6303 has recently developed the problem that sometimes when calling or receiving a call, I cannot hear the caller although they can hear me. I also have the problem that when I connect my phone to a PC via USB cable, the PC crashes (serious error) which I will post separately.

It also does this when clock has alert on.I can turn the screen on with the "unlocking slide" but this in general is extremely annoying and pointless. I was thinking to take it back to repair shop, but wanted to ask about this first here.

There is no ringing noise and when the person answers they can hear me but I can't hear them. A lot of people who are experiencing these problems usually put their phone on speaker to hear it but I can't see my screen so I can't do that.

When i call someone they can here me but i cant here them,then when i hang up,my screen goes white,then restarts. Im not sure if he has blown the speaker or punctured through something after he put in the jack.

Everything was fine, but since today I can't hear the persons calling from my main speaker ( the one on top of the Nokia logo ) while they can hear me. the big speaker works but then the mic doesn't !My phone didn't fall or anything... I tried the instructions on Nokia.com , I used the Nokia software recovery tool they recommend, but still nothing.Now I can only speak with the head set and it's not comfortable.the phone runs the latest update ( maybe the problem comes from an update that came during the night, since its automatic) . I have the iphone 4s through Sprint. Sometimes when I make outgoing calls, I can't even hear the phone ring or the person on the other line, but it does connect and they can hear me. It doesn't happen all of the time, but more frequently then not.

With earphones in, I can hear calls and music ok, and same with loudspeaker, but without earphones in or loudspeaker on, I can't hear music or the other person who is calling. Also, the person who I've rang/has called me can't hear me either. Ringtones and text tones work perfectly normal.
