I recently just got my N900 back from Nokia USA repair on the 21st of August 2010. Upon receiving it back, they notified me that they had flashed my phone and installed the latest software updates on it per privacy policy, which is understandable. However, all was fine until I tried making a call, when I realized that the screen no longer automatically shuts off / turns on when either placing it or removing it from my face. When dialing a phone number, the screen automatically shuts off and I have to unlock it from the bottom. It is unresponsive to touches, etc, until I unlock it.
When the screen is on during a phone call, it doesn't shut off unless I lock it from the bottom. When receiving calls, the screen never lights on and I can't see who is calling me unless I unlock the phone first.I have tried flashing it with the latest Maemo 5 USA image, but the problem still persists.
I have got problem with my N900, Using the phone I can not hear anything but the person I am talking can hear my voice. I ve tried to reset the phone setting and reinstall firmware but didn't help, Please let me know if anybody knows any tricks.
I have owned my n900 for about a week and I cant seem to suss something out. When I get a call it doesn't display the caller nor gives the option to take the call - unless I open the keyboard or flick the lock switch on the end.Is there anyway or seeing who's calling and taking the call with out opening the keyboard or flicking the lock switch on the end.
I have had my Photon about 6 weeks and have been having issues where people can not call me they get message that phone is not available. Also when I am having those issues the phone will not dial anybody just stays on dialing screen and does not call. Also texts do not come through during that time.If I reboot then I can dial and receive calls for a half day or sometimes a whole day.My phone does get the random reboots started on day one and usually once or twice a day but NEVER has happened while I was actively using it.I have done factory reset. Pulled battery and replaced.
My phone was updated with the latest firware on the day I got it and I check for updates regularlyI do have an SD card in it that was new never in another phone that was formatted by this phone. I have tried using it without card and with card makes no difference.I have started rebooting every morning but I still miss calls. At first I had Google Voice on it, I thought that might be the problem I unloaded it unlinked my google voice account and then did factory reset but that has not helped.I do not tether or use the hotspot feature. I do connect using Wifi when I am at home for internet access.About the only thing I can tell is that it seems to lose phone access after a good amount of web surfing whether it is wifi or 3g. (I live several blocks outside of 4g cover
The notification icons for missed calls and SMS messages remains highlighted on the 'slide to open' screen. The number of messages and missed calls increase each day. My partners N900 also receives the icons, but as soon as she enters the phone or the messages, the icons dissappear. We both have the latest software. Is there anyway we can adjust the notifications?
My linked contacts with Facebook or other app when i dail them the picture doesn't appear and the reverse when they calling also the picture doesn't appear i tried to remove all filters ana restart the phone and mark on gmail account only but it doesn't work.
I have a problem with receiving calls. Approximately ones a day, a few seconds after my phone is starting to ring, I try to open it (to answer) and it's stuck! And then I can't do anything, except of take out the battery. On the screen I can the phone is still ringing. The software is last version software.
When I am using my GPS and the audio/voice function is on I cannot use my bluetooth connection for receiving calls (handsfree). When the bluetooth connection is on, I can follow my gps on my screen but I have no voice directions.Does anyone know if it is possible to use both functions at the same time?
Had my N85 6 months now and have been very happy with it, until this morning. When I try to make a call, or press "answer" to receive a call, it switches itself off.Same when accessing voicemail.Has anyone else had this problem and if so, if there a solution?
I love the X6 as a music player. It is also a decent phone. However, I have a problem trying to do both. I have a bluetooth hands-free system built into my car. To listen to music from my phone, I plug a cord from the headphone jack on on the phone to an auxilliary RCA jack in my car. It's the standard way any MP3 player would plug into my car. However, when plugged in like this, I cannot use my bluetooth hands free system to either send or receive calls. Once a call has failed to be placed or received, I then have trouble with calls even if I unplog the cord from the headphone jack.Any ideas? Am I using an incorrect setting somewhere? Is there insufficient phone memory to handle this?
My phone won't let me make or receive any calls, like when i go to call someone it comes up with ringing screen but then turns off and same for when people ring me ; it will come up with the screen telling me they're ringing but if i answer it just turns itself off. i have tried resetting it but it doesnt work - all my software is up to date so i cant update it. it was fine saturday morning but sunday morning wouldnt let me ring.
When making/receiving calls i cant hear the other person at all- no sound. I'm able to hear on loudspeaker but obviously this isn't ideal. Nothing has happened to the phone at all, no drops or water damage and it is only about 5/6weeks old.any suggestions please?
Suppose, I have, under 1 name, multiple contacts (each with different Label Pic, ie, phone, telephone pic etc.). On calling or receiving calls, same Pic (ie of Mobile) is displayed against all those numbers.
It started randomly. i can still browse the internet but i cant call anyone and i cant sed or recieve text messages.ive tried a factory reset but i still gave the same problem.
I tried to make a factory reset. I formatted memory card, removed it, made factory restart again, nothing helps. My Nokia just dies when I try to make a call or even when I try to receive it.
1. I can't disconnect calls. I generally happens when I'm on back to back calls. The phone becomes unresponsive for about 10~15 seconds before you could do anything with it.
2. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, I hear a sharp noise when phone call overlaps music. Once I disconnect the call, the volume in the headsets remains fixed, you can't reduce or increase the volume. The solution here is to remove the headset from phone and plug them back in. If that doesn't work then re-start the phone!
I m from Brazil and I have just changed my device from the 8300 series to the 8500 series. All the contacts in my outlook have the phone numbers in the following format + (country code) - (area code) - xxxx-xxxx. I cannot dial in my new device because I have not been able to set up the dialing mode to automatically recognize this dialing format. Where can I do it? I used to have it in my 8300 series device, but I forgot how to do it.
Brand new here. I recently just went from iPhone to a galaxy s5. I'm with Verizon. For some reason when I try to make a phone call it's says Dialing then it ends the call before it starts to ring. I can get incoming calls fine. As you see in the picture it keeps saying cancelled. It doesn't matter who I try to call, it says cancelled. I've already done a factory reset and I've taken my sim card out n put it back in.
My 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.
i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.
So I've had my M8 since launch, it's been a great phone until the last couple of months. I will have a full signal but people randomly cannot connect to me. I've tested this myself by looking at my phone with full signal and calling it from my land line but it will go immediately to VM, I can call it again ten seconds later and it works, seems totally random.
I've replaced the sim card and sent the phone back to O2 for repair who just claim there is no fault, I'm at my whits end with this as I use it for work and it's causing me serious issues. Sometimes I cannot make calls either in he same fashion.
IPhone 3GS not receiving calls tonight they are going straight to voicemail. The handset rings but when I answer the phoneline goes dead. Voicemail message is left. All other functions on phone working fine.
I have been receiving calls from a variety of numbers over the past few days at around 2AM. It first started on Monday and has continued through today (Thursday). When I call the numbers back in the morning a person (not some bot or telemarketer) answers and insists that they didn't call, but my iPhone displays the call history and such.
Shortly after updating my HTC One M9 to Lollipop 5.1 (running on Sense 7.0), my phone stopped ringing when receiving calls. Why that may be? All other app notifications are working, except for incoming calls.
