Since the day I have purchased my E72(brand new about 6 weeks ago) it has been vibrating at random times. At first I thought it was notifying me of something but I am convinced now that it is some sort of bug. Has anyone else experience this?
View 6 RepliesSo randomly I'll be using my phone, and then all vibrations won't work. Haptic Feedback doesn't work, not even the vibration alert for texts. Sometimes when I make it sleep it fixes it, but this only happened within the last day or two.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI factory reset my phone and during the process of signing in, agreeing to T&C's etc, a strange problem started occurring - the touchscreen became super unresponsive (had to press something three of five times for it to respond), however, at the same time, the phone would quickly vibrate on touch multiple times, but again, not actually do anything. Moreover, a weird blue text box started appearing around the options I touched and I can't swipe down to access the normal settings menu.
And to top it all off, if I long hold the power button to force restart/power off, it just won't do it. (tried the old "turn it off and on" trick to see it'll do the trick)
Everything was all normal until this point, had my phone for a couple of months, haven't dropped it or anything.
My E72 is not vibrating as long as it is connected to a charger (normal or micro USB).I could not find a setting for this behaviour. Is this supposed to be a feature?I think I also observed that the vibrating is gone when the battery is very low. It then does not return until the battery is fully charged again.

I've tried everything to get it working, soft reset, hard reset, taking the sim out, letting the battery go flat then plugging it in, but nothing worked. This has happened once before but it turned back on after 5 mins. It has been 2 days now and it is stil continually vibrating. What should I do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a used 5800, and yes, it is a old, 2,5 year old phone with latest software, works good. Only problem is that the vibration doesnt work. No matter is it on or off on profiles, it doesnt vibrate. And it doesnt vibrate even when i turn phone on, like my old 5230 did always vibrate when it boots up, my 5800 doesnt. What is wrong, why vibration doesnt work when someone calls or sends message, or not even vibrating in boot up, boots normally, no vibration.. Is the vibration function broken?
And my model is 5800d-1, is other models always too 5800d-1, or is my different and if yes, what is difference to other 5800's? This is a 2,5 year old Black and Red 5800. Using 52.0.007 firmware.

I have a problem with my lumia 710. The phone stopped vibrating. I tried to reset, switch vibrations on/off, I even downoaded "vibrator"-ish app from marketplace and nothing makes it vibrate. All it does is very quiet clicking that you can hear only when you hold phone close to the ear. I'm pretty sure phone vibrated yesterday and it never fell on the floor or anything like that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the e72 for two months now and I Use it for my business. The thing is that the phone keeps crashing in mid conversation in a rate of once or twice a week. When it crash and restarts itself it takes around a minute until I can make a phone call.
This is unacceptable from a business device. Sometimes it crash just as I press the answer key on an incoming call and on other occasions it crashes in mid conversation.
I have the newest firmware version 22.007 installed and I even installed handy manager just to make sure that the phone doesn't run out of memory (is doesn't. I usually have above 25mb ram left).
On the background I have TR Lite (original, bought from Ovi store) running and recording all conversation and sometimes I have Fring for Skype and msn. Both of these apps are not set to be System Application, so even if the phone should sun out of memory it will close them and not crash...
I don't know what to do any more I even formatted the phone and installed everything from the beginning. I have sent Nokia 2 emails about a month ago (from the contact us in the website) and got no reply.Is this just me or does this happen to other peoples as well?
Another problem that I have is when creating new email. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the suggested email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (Sam, Sofia, Sandra, etc). For some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. If I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field every time.
I'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

Sometimes goes a couple of days without problem, sometimes it restarts couple of times a day. This mornig, for example, I was using Maps and Public Transport apps to find my way to work. When I got to office, I put the phone avay for a few minutes and during that time it had restared itself, while being in my pocket and screen lock on. All I managed to see was the white dot animation, which is shown at early stages of the startup, followed by home screen icons loading one by one.Device had and still has no third party apps or background services running. In fact, only apps I had used recently were offical release versions made by Nokia and downloaded from Nokia Store.Nokia should really get their act together and improve software quality of the both firmware and utilites running on top of it.

I just had a "lock up" event and the flash bulb turned on by itself and stayed on until I removed the battery. Very slow to get to camera mode as well, sometimes up to ONE MINUTE before it starts up.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI started experiencing strange behaviour with my 5230 today. The web browsers is randomly crashing - at least I think it can be called crashing. When I'm surfing web it sometimes just closes unexpectedly (in the middle of loading the page or shortly after) and throws me back to the menu. It's extremely annoying as it seems to happen totally random (not on specific sites) and there is no error message or anything.
I'm using the default browser (Web) and the software version is 12.0.089. There is 7.86MB free of phone memory (haven't acquired memory card yet) - so there should be enough for web cache (tried clearing it also).
Is there any log file or something in the phone that shows more information about those crashes?
I received my N86 via courier yesterday, and did the usual setup stuff that I was prompted to do. For some reason, my phone keeps on saying "sending text message" at random intervals. I check the outbox, and nothing is there! This has been ongoing since I turned it on.
I have tried a soft and hard reset, and I have just noticed that there is a firmware upgrade available. I am in the process of charging my battery.
I am new to viewing Emails and browsing the web on my mobile, and have recently subscribed to a pay monthly SIM. I set up access to my hotmail account via the mailbox in the messaging section of my N97 mini.
Since then, my phone keeps randomly connecting to the internet ( or the icon on the screen appears to be connected). I deleted the hotmail account in my mailbox, but it is still connecting randomly.
Prior to this problem, my phone connected to my home network if I was within range , or prompted me to connect to Orange GPRS if I was out of range.
I Have now deleted/disabled the Orange Gprs settings ( I assume I will have to phone Orange to send me new settings when I get this sorted?) ,and now when I restart my phone, away from home, it asks if I want to search for WLan, due to the fact it cannot connect to Orange. When I am at home it connects to my WiFi.
It is though there is a process or app on my phone needing Internet access? Would any sort of reset delete all my settings, so I can start again? I have done a backup without backing up my settings in anticipation of doing so.
i have been using Nokia 5230 for about a month and noticed something weird.sometime the battery is hot sometime is not.every night i put my 5230 on "offline", set alarm then put it under Pillow on my head. sometime in the morning the cellphone back will be verry hot. remove case, touch battery, and it is hot.
but sometime its just warm.also when using constant internet connection for my IMAP email, the battery also got hot. not that burning hot but it is a lot hotter than my previous phone ( Symbian 9 UIQ3, SonyEricsson M600i)also if i use 3G/3,5G instead of the normal GSM/EDGE, the phone become very hot if used for call. or for internet.
is this normal for nokia phones? i really dont want to leave my phone to nokia customer care. it will be took very long time and i need my phone with me everyday. and my old SonyEricsson M600i also already broken.
My 5230 will sometimes freeze. At times it will restart by switching off then on. At other times I need to remove the battery then refit it. This problem happens quite randomly even when accessiing text mail. I have downloaded the latest software and it still does it. The phone was purchased in February. Can anyone please help

View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay, I really don't know how to fix the following things because I already did a soft reset, a hard reset and finally re-installed the software. Re-installing the software helped for a week or two, but now these things are coming back again:
- My 5530 always fails checking for updates (it keeps searching endless).
- Impossible to use Wi-Fi to check e-mail.
- Applications are closing randomly (most of the times Ovi Store, Internet and Settings).
And something else: when I woke up this morning, my phone didn't want to start up, I tried turning it on and off, without success, so I removed the memory card and then he suddenly started again. After that, I turned my phone off to put the memory card back in and he worked again with the memory card. I just wonder what could be the reason for this.
Tried a few searches, but didn't find anything specific to the subject.Received my Lumia 920 last night, and since then it has either hung or rebooted randomly over a dozen times. It seems to happen mostly when navigating through screens or accessing apps. It will sit and stream music from the Nokia Music service fine... I have to perform a reset to recover the phone when it hangs.

It turns off and back on, I didn't loose any files, but the sim card is blocked and people can't call me then. I have the newest software, use the original charger, battery etc. Phone turns off without any massage, vibration or else, when it turns on I get the default starting screen and the phone asks me for pin and works normally afterwards.

When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after anotheritched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again.
