Nokia :: 6650 Fold Restarts Randomly
Jun 8, 2010my phone restarts. not sure why. doesn't matter what state the phone is in. do you think it is software or hardware?

Nokia Lumia :: 920 Restarts Randomly And Asks For Pin
Dec 3, 2012I got my phone on friday last week and since the it restarted every morning at random time. It turns off and back on, I didn't loose any files, but the sim card is blocked and people can't call me then. I have the newest software, use the original charger, battery etc. Phone turns off without any massage, vibration or else, when it turns on I get the default starting screen and the phone asks me for pin and works normally afterwards.

Jan 5, 2012I've had my Nokia E5-00 since 11/25 and it's been giving me hell this past week. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I tried changing the lock code so I could lock my phone, and right as I entered the default 12345 and then it asked me for a new code, I put in the new code and it restarted. I figured it was just the phone updating itself. Then, the phone began restarting randomly, and sometimes it restarts multiple times before it stays put for an hour or two... Only to start the process all over again.When it restarts, the Nokia logo doesn't have the holding-hands thing. The screen turns white, sometimes the Nokia in blue letters appears, but never the hand-holding.I know some people have had this problem with the E5-00 and I'm wondering what I can do. I tried updating the software - twice - and no dice.

Jun 22, 2010i just bought a nokia 2720 fold. I have been downloading a few themes off the internet but everytime i apply them they don't seem to cover the full screen. By that i mean there is still a white band where the battery icon is. Even hen I set a wallpaper the white band is still there.
But when i use a profile that already exists in the phone it comes out in full screen and so does the wallpaper.
Nokia :: 6650 / Calendar Server App Closed
Jan 21, 2010I've been using a 6650 for more than a year without problems. I use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts & calendar with Address Book and i Cal on my Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX Leopard.This morning, I synced the phone and computer as I always do, but got an error message that "Device synchronization failed" without further explanation. When I tried syncing again, I got a warning message that "The phone could not store some of your calendar events. The following events will not be synchronized:..." Concurrently, the phone showed the error message "Application Closed: CalendarServerThread". After wards, the phone calendar just shows up as blank and won't respond to input (I can't change the date, although I can access the menu). The calendar works again once I delete all entries.
I've done a full reset of the phone, yet the problem is still happening. Can anyone help me?
Nokia :: 6650 - Resetting - Unlock Attempts Set To 0?
Apr 13, 2010I've been trying to unlock my 6650 without success. So far I've tried 3 codes. Before I try any more, is there a way to rest the counter that counts the attempts back to zero? I don't want to hit the max # of attempts.
Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"
just to have it unlocked.

Jul 13, 2011I have the following problem with my Nokia 3710 fold. What I press the headset button short the phone tries to make voice dialing, i.e. it listens to some word said and tries to make a fit from my phonebook and then dial it. The problem is that this button is pressed accidentally and then the phone hears some noises and find a "match" - which is basically picking one of the names stored in random - the result is a phone call to some people that I saved their number years ago leading to embarrassing results. I tried to disable this feature. I couldn't. Any feature of the phone can be turned off except this one!! I don't want voice dialing enabled what can I do!

Apr 12, 2010when my phone rings and i dont answer it, it will show 1 missed call. when i click view, it does not show the missed call. When i call someone and then i hang up and view the placed calls screen, it does not show that either as well as the received calls that i do answer. has anyone experienced this with the Nokia 6650 flip phone? please leave comments if you know how to solve my problem.

Aug 14, 2012I don't really know for sure when it started, but probably within the last month or so, my Atrix 4G has started randomly restarting on its own. It doesn't seem to be triggered by anything specific I do with the phone. I'll just look over at my phone because it lights up and sure enough, it's restarting. It does it when I'm using it and when I'm not.

May 1, 2012Ive restored it multiple times and have tried everything I can think of. Should I just bring it in to an apple store and get it replaced? I've had this replacement phone a total of 3 days. I recently restored it hoping it would have fixed it because this time i connected it to a computer. but immediately after it restarted. Then less than an hour later I went to check my phone and it was in the recovery state. as far as i now. It wont wake up and i usually spend 15 minutes trying to hard restart it to be able to use my phone again.

Jan 17, 2012I've had the sony ericsson xperia play for a while, with not problems, however for the last weeks or so it has been us randomly restarting throughout the day.
this only happens when I have enabled the data under "mobile networks". I have not got any battery savers/app killers etc. Ive only got the stock apps that came with the phone and a couple of games like fifa 12

May 5, 2012Yesterday I was listening to music on my Photon using the Google Play Music app and my phone rebooted twice (only while using this app). I am not sure if it is an issue with Google Play Music app or what. I will post this message with Google and see if they can pinpoint the issue as well. Jan 28, 2015I had the problem of random restarts after lollipop update (exactly afte rsometime i changed to pattern security )and i gave to service center and they told its OS issues and downgraded to 4.4.4. After that i installed all my apps in 4.4.4 (standard apps like banking, skype etc..) and used it for a while. when i tried to use screen lock as "Pin" this rebooting issue starting again? I managed to change it to "Swipe" and did wipe cache partition, and till now (for last 45mins atleast) its running okay.

•ditched his old Google account in case it was something with his backup
•Replaced his SIM card
•Went to both the Verizon store and to the Samsung center in Best Buy for them to run diagnostics, flash it, etc. They can find nothing wrong with it.
•He’s had numerous factory resets, master resets, etc.

Jan 26, 2010I got my Nokia e72 in Israel, from local cellular company called Cellcom (Cellcom Israel Ltd).I bought the phone about a week ago and almost instantly it started to make a problems (restarts).I got back to Cellcom store and asked to fix or replace phone or it's software. The answer that I got from Cellcom representatives was funny: Nokia e72 has to null himself from time to time, and it's known issue (so they say that it's normal), and it's all what they can do.The bottom line, they said that restarts and closing applications it is the way that e72 should work
After long conversation they agree to check it in their service labs.. Today I got it back, they told that the phone was reset to default settings and it works now as it have to work (on their opinion).All problems persist, phone may close one of the applications unexpectedly or simple restarts and closing all open applications.

Jun 26, 2010I have recorded few videos with the phone (at high quality), all OK. But in the gallery the playback of these videos sometimes lags (video stops, audio continues or stops too) and sometimes this ends with a restart of the whole phone (display backlight shuts off, screen freezes, then NOKIA shows up and the phone starts again, without asking for PIN, resulting in the standby screen). Usually if I play the same video again, it does not lag. The video is stored on an SDHC 4GB card, class C4. I have installed the latest firmware.Any suggestions?

Jul 29, 2010Is there anything to do but return this brick to the store? My new N900 will reset/restart about every 20 seconds, no matter what I do. I've tried with SIM, without SIM, with and without memory card, on and off charger... Invariably it will reboot within the minute. One time it even said "Device Malfunction. Device shutdown in 10 secs" on the white NOKIA screen. The FW version is 2.2009.51-1, but I can't upgrade to the newest version to see if that solves the problem. When I tried, I only got about half way through the download before the device rebooted again.

Jul 26, 2010I didn't find a topic to help but basically my problem isthat using the ovi map application causes a restrart on my phone.The application loads but a minute through it causes the phone to restars or to even turn off.Nokia supports sent me an Email with instruction to install the ovi map on the phone.The problem still persists like before.I have no data plan and I used the internet to load the map. Jan 31, 2010I can only confirm that i see most of the already posted issues with the 40.0.005 FW. Most seriously is controlled the phone restart. Mine does it 2-3 time pr day. The phone is totally unusable now. I have been forced to take an old HTC windoes mobile in to action again.Will probably go for an Android now. @Nokia: Not a good action to move all 2G development to India!

Mar 10, 2010So ive had my Nokia for a few months now, no problems all going fine. Untill recently I tried to uninstall Fring from my phone and it didnt work. So i connected it via usb and then deleted it via my PC. Then a system error message started coming up and I ignored it at first. However my friends were saying they were not recieving some of my calls and texts. So i looked at other forum posts and people reccomened to update the firmware so i did that and now my phone is in major problems. It keeps saying memory full and when i try to access the memory part to clear some stuff it just restarts. sometimes it says vcommand something and restarts but usually it just says memory full and restarts. Its really bugging me and Im considering selling it and buying a Blackberry becaue it is really anoying. Is there anything i can do to solve this or am i screwed?
