i just bought a nokia 2720 fold. I have been downloading a few themes off the internet but everytime i apply them they don't seem to cover the full screen. By that i mean there is still a white band where the battery icon is. Even hen I set a wallpaper the white band is still there.
But when i use a profile that already exists in the phone it comes out in full screen and so does the wallpaper.
my phone restarts. not sure why. doesn't matter what state the phone is in. do you think it is software or hardware?

What I press the headset button short the phone tries to make voice dialing, i.e. it listens to some word said and tries to make a fit from my phonebook and then dial it. The problem is that this button is pressed accidentally and then the phone hears some noises and find a "match" - which is basically picking one of the names stored in random - the result is a phone call to some people that I saved their number years ago leading to embarrassing results. I tried to disable this feature. I couldn't. Any feature of the phone can be turned off except this one!! I don't want voice dialing enabled what can I do!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought an X6 during mid May, fully expecting to be able to use the "fullscreen handwriting for Chinese" function to write chinese. However, after weeks of researching, there seems to be no such function! What's even worst, Nokia (AU) totally removed this description from their X6 specifications 2 week after I bought this phone! I did, however, save a bookmark of the older specs just to serve as evidence that they did mention the X6 had chinese input capabilities. Help! is there anyway that I can get around this and allow my phone to type chinese??? Did nokia make a big mistake and try to cover this up by deleting the specs on their website? I've emailed them but they have yet to reply. I feel ripped off and that my phone did not serve its intended product purpose.

You see it when the phone is closed.My question: How do I keep the front display allways on. I want to see the time immediatelly, when I look on the folded phone. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my N97 Mini for a while now. Its pretty good overall but I've encountered one constant problem that keeps occurring when I enter a full screen game. I've recently installed Real Football Manager 2010 by Gameloft, the game is made for n97i and is suppose to be played full screen. When ever I start the game, a annoying touchpad pops up and blocks half the screen. How do you turn this off? Is there another way to solve this problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have been using a Galaxy S5 for about a month now... I noticed i was getting fullscreen pop ups and i though it was some downloaded apps and i removed them. But I am still getting them and i noticed it was only when I backout completely out of hangouts messaging app. If i press home or switch to another app I dont see the add. It has a grey background and the letter "i" on bottom left corner where i can press and it displays "ads by google".
I have scanned with Lookout, App brain and some other popular ad detector tools and nothing pops up so my guess is some setting on the phone that i might be opting out of something. Or maybe i turned off bloatware that is causing me this. My wife has the same phone and uses hangouts and its not getting the pop ups.

View 1 Replies View Relatedsince ics i can no longer control flash video on the web (sites like blip.tv). the video plays fine but i can't full screen it nor can i access the video controls (pause, stop, position)on the web, when you go to you tube, the video has controls at the bottom (play/pause, volume, and the status bar showing where you are in the clip) and when you full screen it, they're still there. on gb when you went to a flash video and hit play, the video would automatically full screen with the status bar on the bottom (status bar being the time counter showing how much you've played, what is left and your position.) on ics now when you play a video it simply plays on the page with no access to the controls or the ability to full screen the clip.
with Internet i obviously have an app but with web content (news, and blip.tv) it not possible as far as i can tell. sometimes i wanna pause and fast forward or rewind and that ability is now gone.lip.tv is the big one for me, i watch a lot on there. but when i go there now on my phone, chrome won't play at all and the stock brower shows the little cinema logo. when i click the logo, the video plays fine but small and still embedded in the web page. i can't pause or stop without leaving the page, i can't fast forward or rewind and i have have no time counter to know my video position. it's extremely frustrating. and double-tapping does nothing. on gingerbread this was simply automatic. you hit play and it goes fullscreen, you have the video position bar at the bottom (slider that let's you ff or rewind) and a ply/pause button. they would disappear after while and come back with a tap

So, for the first time since I got it, I tried setting some new wallpapers, see if maybe there's something that'd look nice. But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

I am needing some help with re-installing Prismic Wallpaper Manager that I had bought and installed whilst I was running on Global f/w. Now I am back on UK 51, it doesn't run the install when I double click on the DEB file. Got the following advice back from their support desk:
Do you have the latest firmware? If so you can simply open the .deb in the File Manager program and it will install. If you don't, you can use XTerm (you may need to 'sudo gainroot')and run:
dpkg -i prismicwm_1.4.4_armel.deb
In which ever directory you've put the file, this should install it. If it complains about dependencies, do: apt-get install packagename. Where packagename is whatever it's complaining about (eg. gnome-python). So please can you re-interpret it into step-by-step?
one of the first things I did when I was setting up my new Nokia X6 was to delete all the factory images. One of which I think was being used as the Homescreen Wallpaper. I was playing last night and tried a Photo as Wallpaper but the fit is Stretched to whole screen and I can't see how to change it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the Default back on or even where I could download the default from on the web.
