Nokia :: E72 Wallpaper Display Setting Error .

So, for the first time since I got it, I tried setting some new wallpapers, see if maybe there's something that'd look nice. But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

I have a tiny picture 125 x 124 2.32KB that I wanted to use for wallpaper, but when I try to set it as such it becomes so huge and distorted on the screen. So what do I need to do to use it as wallpaper, or is it because it's such a tiny picture to begin with that I will be unable to use it for wallpaper?Ok, I see that I can upload a picture here, so here's the picture I wanted to use for my wallpaper.

Whenever I set a wallpaper on my Moto X while using Nova the buttons are in a black bar and it looks like they aren't "on screen." But setting a wallpaper while on the Google Now launcher resolves this problem. It's kind of annoying to have to switch launchers just to change a wallpaper.

I've notice when setting 1440 x 2560 images it seems to zom on the image ever so slightly once set .Is there a reason why it doesn't set the full image as wallpaper ?

I took a cute pic of my dog with my phone. I wanted to set it as the wallpaper. I went to the gallery, chose the pic and then set as wallpaper. This lovely orange box pops up to select an area of the pic, but I am unable to resize the box to encompass the majority of the pic. I can get it to resize to approx. the size of a postage stamp, but nothing any larger than that.
I did try to edit the size of the pic and start over, and have tried several different sizes, but they all have pretty much the same result.

I have taken pictures with my new Wildfire and I want to set one of them as my phone's wallpaper. However, my phone won't let me set my photos as wallpaper unless I severely crop them. I want to use a whole picture as my wallpaper, not just a small portion of it. Can anyone tell me how to set my whole photo as the wallpaper, please? I don't understand how my phone won't let me set a picture that I took with my phone's camera as its wallpaper without cropping it. It is the same with pictures I downloaded. I'm only able to use full pictures if they were already installed in the phone when I bought it.

I am not able to get emails from my rediff account on my new lumia 800.It gives me error code 800C0000 when synchronizing.All other email accounts are working just great. Rediff was working on N8 but not on Lumia.

I recentley bought a Nokia X6. Everything works just fine,except one thing. Sometimes,when I am connecting to some (free) wifi spots,although connection is well established, the browser gives error message that it cant display the website(every one).

To those who've tried the demo units in the Microsoft Store.Did you check if the Display settings that allow you to change the Color Profile (Temperature/Vividness) is still available with the new phones?I always personalize my display settings and it would be a bummer if it isn't in the new phones.

Verizon 32 GB Nexus 6, stock no root. 5.1.1. It won't autorotate. Display setting is set to autorotate and Accessibility setting is set to autorotate but it won't. Multiple on/off reboots with settings off and on. Cleared system cache. I downloaded Check My Android and it shows all sensors active and working normally. I downloaded Set Orientation and it won't change automatically. I can force it to landscape mode using the app but have to do it manually. The camera takes a picture in portrait and displays it either upside down or in landscape.

The location setting in smart actions doesn't seem to work when the display is off.I have set the phone to turn off bluetooth when I am at home or work. If the display is on, it works fine, but if the display is off, the smart action is not triggered. The smart action doesn't start or end if the display is off, it just stays in the mode it was in when the display was last on.I had a smart action that turned off a few things when the display is off, but I disabled that smart action and I still had the issue of the location based smart actions not triggering.

should do have a permanent wallpaper on my screen except the one that came with the phone, everytime i set a wallpaper of my choice and after some applications and downloads it reverts back to the wallpaper that came with the handset, i have already tried so many times without real success

I am trying to help someone that has his 2610 stuck with a "Message memory not ready" error. When checking the size of the messages , it says 945 KB occupied, 83 KB of total free memory. I did already a "reset to factory defaults", but still, these SMS are still there. I really want to delete those. What can i do?

The problem is that it does not display Cell Info display correctly. Only few times it shows, But only for sometime. Is this bug fixed in the latest version 5.44 ???? and it also has the signal problem .. If i put it in my pocket , the whole signal goes away in both sims....

When I set up an new e-mail address I am getting the error "an error occurred during e-mail account validation" This is a new problem for me as I have 3 BBs on 3 carriers using e-mails off my domain - I even deleted an e-mail account on my BB that worked but when I reinstalled it using the same settings it had (when it worked) I get the above error?

I have had my work emails on my Blackberry for the last few months. Yesterday it asked me validate my account. I re-entered my password, but it said it couldn't connect, password/details were incorrect.
I have deleted the account, and tried to add it back in - but still comes with the same error. I can access Outlook Web Access on my laptop, so the connection details are definitely correct, but it wont let me link to my phone any more?
Not sure if this is linked to the problems this week, and therefore may work once everything is back to normal, or if there is another error?

I am trying to set up a 2nd email address on my Curve 8520. I currently have 1 gmail set up. I had a 2nd awhile back, but deleted it when I didn't need it any longer. Now I have another that I need to set up, but every time I go to the email setup wizard, I get this error message:The site cannot be accessed in this manner. I have a Motorola Atrix 2 and initially set up a Corporate Sync account several months ago. I had no issues with this account until last week, when my Exchange server migrated.I tried adding the new server name, but that did not fix the problem. I was advised by my company (Microsoft) tech support to delete the Corporate Sync account and then re-create it.I proceeded to create the Corporate Sync account via Setting > Accounts > Add Account > Corporate Sync, but when I keyed in my information (Email address, Password, Domain, and Username) and clicked Next, I received this error:Sorry! If you change the wallpaper the screen looks like **bleep**.After you change the wallpaper it's added some transparent shadows to the screen, this thing sucks hard.How I can hack this phone so I can change the wallpaper without getting that transparent shadow?And why I don't see any updates for the phone? I had version 32 and there it's out v62 and v071.005

Having managed to get my phone back to normal (with CPitchford's help). I am needing some help with re-installing Prismic Wallpaper Manager that I had bought and installed whilst I was running on Global f/w. Now I am back on UK 51, it doesn't run the install when I double click on the DEB file. Got the following advice back from their support desk:
Do you have the latest firmware? If so you can simply open the .deb in the File Manager program and it will install. If you don't, you can use XTerm (you may need to 'sudo gainroot')and run:
dpkg -i prismicwm_1.4.4_armel.deb
In which ever directory you've put the file, this should install it. If it complains about dependencies, do: apt-get install packagename. Where packagename is whatever it's complaining about (eg. gnome-python). So please can you re-interpret it into step-by-step?

one of the first things I did when I was setting up my new Nokia X6 was to delete all the factory images. One of which I think was being used as the Homescreen Wallpaper. I was playing last night and tried a Photo as Wallpaper but the fit is Stretched to whole screen and I can't see how to change it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the Default back on or even where I could download the default from on the web.
