Nokia :: Reinstalling Prismic Wallpaper Manager

Having managed to get my phone back to normal (with CPitchford's help). I am needing some help with re-installing Prismic Wallpaper Manager that I had bought and installed whilst I was running on Global f/w. Now I am back on UK 51, it doesn't run the install when I double click on the DEB file. Got the following advice back from their support desk:
Do you have the latest firmware? If so you can simply open the .deb in the File Manager program and it will install. If you don't, you can use XTerm (you may need to 'sudo gainroot')and run:
dpkg -i prismicwm_1.4.4_armel.deb
In which ever directory you've put the file, this should install it. If it complains about dependencies, do: apt-get install packagename. Where packagename is whatever it's complaining about (eg. gnome-python). So please can you re-interpret it into step-by-step?

I downloaded Desktop Manager version 6 per a prompt from version 5 to update my software. Now everytime I sync my BB, it erases my wallpaper and sets it to the default. Totally irritating!My phone is a 9000 Blackberry Bold, my service provider is AT&T.

I uninstalled the Ovi Maps app on my 6650 phone, abd now I can't figure out how to reinstall it. The Map Updater program tells me that the files on my phone are up to date, but the app is missing on the phone.

My PC and phone are paired via Bluetooth (I can see the phone in the device section on Win 7). However, when trying to connect via BT in Ovi suite I get the message "Device not found". I have tried reinstalling Ovi Suite, updating Ovi Suite to the last version, unpairing the phone and PC... Windows 7 has no trouble finding and pairing it but Ovi Suite just doesn't find it....

I'm running Windows XP with all the updates, I'd previously installed PC suite for a UK Nokia 5000, I've now got a UK 5230, I've connected to it via bluetooth and a USB cable, but now cant connect with either. I've tried to update or reinstall PC Suite, but each time I try I get the messageOlder version of Nokia Connectivity Driver cannot be removed. Contact support I've uninstalled PC Suite, but now it wont let me re-install it.

i have 5233 after i had updated my phone software to v12.1.092(via phone fota) i had to hard reset the phone due to some problem. now my problem is solved but the social networking widgets that came with the phone are not preset like facebook,Internet,etc also something called api bridge is not installed. then i updated my phone software to v21.1.004(via phone fota) but still i don't have those widgets.
after the hard reset i had done for some days i sometimes used to get popup which said installing and it used to load for a few seconds and said cannot install unauthorized software on memory card and install would fail. i have no problems with my phone but want to know how to reinstall all the preinstalled widgets that the phone came with.

should do have a permanent wallpaper on my screen except the one that came with the phone, everytime i set a wallpaper of my choice and after some applications and downloads it reverts back to the wallpaper that came with the handset, i have already tried so many times without real success

If you change the wallpaper the screen looks like **bleep**.After you change the wallpaper it's added some transparent shadows to the screen, this thing sucks hard.How I can hack this phone so I can change the wallpaper without getting that transparent shadow?And why I don't see any updates for the phone? I had version 32 and there it's out v62 and v071.005

So, for the first time since I got it, I tried setting some new wallpapers, see if maybe there's something that'd look nice. But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

one of the first things I did when I was setting up my new Nokia X6 was to delete all the factory images. One of which I think was being used as the Homescreen Wallpaper. I was playing last night and tried a Photo as Wallpaper but the fit is Stretched to whole screen and I can't see how to change it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the Default back on or even where I could download the default from on the web.

i just bought a nokia 2720 fold. I have been downloading a few themes off the internet but everytime i apply them they don't seem to cover the full screen. By that i mean there is still a white band where the battery icon is. Even hen I set a wallpaper the white band is still there.
But when i use a profile that already exists in the phone it comes out in full screen and so does the wallpaper.

I am on my third Nokia Lumia 900 now and all three have had an issue with the wallpaper "flickering" into vertical streaks right after I press the power on button. Has anyone else noticed this problem?The flickering doesn't stop the phone from working in any way, but it does make me wonder about the build quality.

I decided to replace the default wallpaper with something more appealing and so took a picture with the phone's camera and set it as the wallpaper. Later on, when I came to use the phone again I found it had reverted to the default wallpaper. The phone had not been switched off meantime. I reset the wallpaper again and, again, later on, I found it had reverted again. I store my camera images on the memory card (Sandisk 8GB) and have had no problems with any other data stored on the card. However, just in case the phone was having sporadic problems not being able instantly to read the card and so thinking it wasn't there, I copied the image to the phone's memory. I'm now waiting to see if it happens again. I can't upgrade the software to the latest release (R12) as I am on Tesco Mobile and their latest customised version of S60 is still based on R11.

is there anyway i can reinstall c3 firmware, since i have 7.20 rm-614. im facing a couple of bugs like there numbers in my call log that aren't even my contacts, i still see their names & cant even delete thm either it says "invalid selection". (even after restore factory settings).. plus my conversations menu showing a couple of msgs as standalone. apart from that i cant see Internet videos no matter what i do. i've followed a way to do it, a lot of people were succesful in doing it but i cant get it to work. i guess reinstalling firmware might work.

I have Reinstalled FW 051.018 in my E72-1 (Model 0591952), as there was flicker in camera recording. Strangely am facing annoying problem after that. I have purchased E72 compatible app like QIK, VIEWRANGER GPS, EASY LOCATOR so on.. From OVI STORE. Now am able to see only N73 compatible applications in MY STUFF but on E72 compatible in my mobile. I am able to see these application when I log in from desktop, after sending a link to my mobile, when I try to open in my e72 mobile browser I get the message " SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR N73" and download button is in disable mode BUT my Mobile is E72. I tried restore which backed just before Reinstalling. From then on I am getting a msg " SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR LANGUAGE" AND download button is disabled.
I tried *#7370#, restoring older backups, Uninstalling ovi suite and Reinstalling FW to phone again, and *, 3 and green button. nothing worked with this am only able to see, buy application compatible upto N73 from ovi store, apart from this am uable to redownload my purchased applications..
