My PC and phone are paired via Bluetooth (I can see the phone in the device section on Win 7). However, when trying to connect via BT in Ovi suite I get the message "Device not found". I have tried reinstalling Ovi Suite, updating Ovi Suite to the last version, unpairing the phone and PC... Windows 7 has no trouble finding and pairing it but Ovi Suite just doesn't find it....

I've tried to update or reinstall PC Suite, but each time I try I get the messageOlder version of Nokia Connectivity Driver cannot be removed. Contact support I've uninstalled PC Suite, but now it wont let me re-install it.

I have restarted my computer inutile times and the ovi suite is the latest as it was only downloaded yesterday, I have also tried the download with my firewall turned off and still get this error.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?
I uninstalled the Ovi Maps app on my 6650 phone, abd now I can't figure out how to reinstall it. The Map Updater program tells me that the files on my phone are up to date, but the app is missing on the phone.

The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

I am needing some help with re-installing Prismic Wallpaper Manager that I had bought and installed whilst I was running on Global f/w. Now I am back on UK 51, it doesn't run the install when I double click on the DEB file. Got the following advice back from their support desk:
Do you have the latest firmware? If so you can simply open the .deb in the File Manager program and it will install. If you don't, you can use XTerm (you may need to 'sudo gainroot')and run:
dpkg -i prismicwm_1.4.4_armel.deb
In which ever directory you've put the file, this should install it. If it complains about dependencies, do: apt-get install packagename. Where packagename is whatever it's complaining about (eg. gnome-python). So please can you re-interpret it into step-by-step?

View 11 Replies View Relatedi have 5233 after i had updated my phone software to v12.1.092(via phone fota) i had to hard reset the phone due to some problem. now my problem is solved but the social networking widgets that came with the phone are not preset like facebook,Internet,etc also something called api bridge is not installed. then i updated my phone software to v21.1.004(via phone fota) but still i don't have those widgets.
after the hard reset i had done for some days i sometimes used to get popup which said installing and it used to load for a few seconds and said cannot install unauthorized software on memory card and install would fail. i have no problems with my phone but want to know how to reinstall all the preinstalled widgets that the phone came with.
I think I lost them either after Belle Refresh or either after the hard reset. I tried reinstalling the software but I still dont have them. Is there any way I could download them?

I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.

I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

I have a model N900 and the problem is.Four days ago I was updating software for my N900 on Nokia.com site and, when the updating was finish my N900 goes to restarting again and again, until I remove a battery! (even after restore factory settings).. plus my conversations menu showing a couple of msgs as standalone. apart from that i cant see Internet videos no matter what i do. i've followed a way to do it, a lot of people were succesful in doing it but i cant get it to work. i guess reinstalling firmware might work.

I have purchased E72 compatible app like QIK, VIEWRANGER GPS, EASY LOCATOR so on.. From OVI STORE. Now am able to see only N73 compatible applications in MY STUFF but on E72 compatible in my mobile. I am able to see these application when I log in from desktop, after sending a link to my mobile, when I try to open in my e72 mobile browser I get the message " SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR N73" and download button is in disable mode BUT my Mobile is E72. View 9 Replies View RelatedWithout any clear reason, all in a sudden I get this message: "JVM Error 517" and below that there is a reset button. The message is in the middle of the screen (white color) in a very small font size. Only thing I can do is press enter and then the BB will be rebooted and will end finally in the sam screen with again the same error message.Also tried to replace the battery but this will have the same result as a reboot....ending with the same white screen and "JVM Error 517".Tried also to reinstall software with the desktop manager but without succes.
