Xperia Ray :: Apps Reinstalling Whenever I Reboot?
Nov 18, 2011
i have a problem with some apps that reinstalling after i reboot my phone.i mean i've uninstalled the apps and when i turn off and turn on the phone again, those ninstalled apps are in my app screen.is there something to do with backup settings or what?
So I had my iphone jailbroken, but then like many people I had to do the dreaded 3.1.3 restore because blackrain gave up on me.So I have now jailbroken with spirit, and wondering if there is anyway of downloading my paid Cydia apps such as Anyring again without paying a second time? I didnt back up with Aptbackup or anything when I was jailbroken on 3.1.2.
I did a factory reset to fix a couple of issues with wireless and screen brightness dropping out of auto, and before I did that, I moved all of my apps to my SD card. I see them in the directory .android_secure (from my PC since none of the filemanagers I have can see the directory) but I'm baffled as to how to re-install them.
I bought a 8520 last month and I am using the telephone with the italian language. By mistake I had cancelled some pre-installed apps like DocsToGo and I reinstalled them by ising Desktop Manager. At the same time I got the chance to cancel the languages I don't need. Since then I have problems with the date format: date format should be in the european standard (DD/MM) but it always appears in the US one (MM/DD). This happens only on the desktop, clock, and phone call list. Otherwise sms and calender are correct. I have 4 languages installed at the moment on the device (according to the language option list): Italian, English, English (UK), English (US) and German. With all those languages I have the problem with the date, only if I choose German it's correct. I have been advised to update the firmware, but unfortunately it didn't help. I have also unistalled some third party programs but it also didn't help. Theme is the standard one and no new one has been installed. This is quite an annoying issue, even though it doesn't dramatically affect the usage of the phone. I did a backup before installing the DocsToGo apps.
i was wondering if RIM will change this annoying reboot each time you install something... It's not like the iPhone you can download an apps just for fun, with BB you have to think that you don't need your phone during 5 minutes, that nobody is going to call you, and it's so annoying.I think i would install so much more application without the automatic reboot.
Now that I have your attention... I had 2 pages of apps on my iPhone. I did a reboot holding the power and home button like I always do very so often. Phone came back on and all 3rd party apps are gone off my phone!
One other time before this when I did a reboot it gave me the apple logo with the spinning wheel inside it and wouldn't boot up.I was jailbroken on 4.01 the 1st day but have done multiple dfu restores since than. Shouldn't it be working perfect?
i have disabled Internet, play books, and play movies several times and they always come back after a reboot. how do i stop this from happening? i am sick of bloat i do not want! is verizon, or google, or whoever even listening to us?
I uninstalled the Ovi Maps app on my 6650 phone, abd now I can't figure out how to reinstall it. The Map Updater program tells me that the files on my phone are up to date, but the app is missing on the phone.
is there anyway i can reinstall c3 firmware, since i have 7.20 rm-614. im facing a couple of bugs like there numbers in my call log that aren't even my contacts, i still see their names & cant even delete thm either it says "invalid selection". (even after restore factory settings).. plus my conversations menu showing a couple of msgs as standalone. apart from that i cant see Internet videos no matter what i do. i've followed a way to do it, a lot of people were succesful in doing it but i cant get it to work. i guess reinstalling firmware might work.
I have Reinstalled FW 051.018 in my E72-1 (Model 0591952), as there was flicker in camera recording. Strangely am facing annoying problem after that. I have purchased E72 compatible app like QIK, VIEWRANGER GPS, EASY LOCATOR so on.. From OVI STORE. Now am able to see only N73 compatible applications in MY STUFF but on E72 compatible in my mobile. I am able to see these application when I log in from desktop, after sending a link to my mobile, when I try to open in my e72 mobile browser I get the message " SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR N73" and download button is in disable mode BUT my Mobile is E72. I tried restore which backed just before Reinstalling. From then on I am getting a msg " SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR LANGUAGE" AND download button is disabled.
I tried *#7370#, restoring older backups, Uninstalling ovi suite and Reinstalling FW to phone again, and *, 3 and green button. nothing worked with this am only able to see, buy application compatible upto N73 from ovi store, apart from this am uable to redownload my purchased applications..
I purchased an app and it was uninstalled as i was having problems with it.Anyway, when i tried to reinstall it, i'm getting the following message:'purchase service error - (error id: 30220)'
Reboot complete (main screen/carrier logo) First Time and Device Usable Second Time Minutes:Seconds 3:13 - 3:37 Custom Theme 3:11 - 3:25 Default Carrier Theme Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme. 3:13 - 3:23 Password 3:13 - 3:25 Password + wallpaper on mem card 7:09 - 7:21 "Memory Clean Turned on" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card Re-test (that was way too long) 6:36 - 6:45 "Memory Clean Already On" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card. 3:23 - 3:45 "Encrytion Media Card Only" + BerryWeather + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card + Mem Compression Memory Clean and Encrytion (Device Memory Enabled) either one of those on will increase reboot time by atleast 2-3mins. When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.
My PC and phone are paired via Bluetooth (I can see the phone in the device section on Win 7). However, when trying to connect via BT in Ovi suite I get the message "Device not found". I have tried reinstalling Ovi Suite, updating Ovi Suite to the last version, unpairing the phone and PC... Windows 7 has no trouble finding and pairing it but Ovi Suite just doesn't find it....
I used to have Blackberry Maps on my Curve 9360 but I deleted it.Now I want to re-install it because I just find Google Maps to be laggy and not really moving while I'm moving, I went to the download site on my BB browser and it is saying that my phone doesn't meet the system requirements.

My Xperia Ray Mobile is keep restarting, can any one here help me to fix it? i bought it before 10 months. suddenly it started rebooting. i tried safe boot by holding the menu button when the sony text displayed, but it doesn't work. i tried connecting with PC companian, it is not detecting the phone. when the phone is switched on "sony" text is blinking then "Xperia" text is displayed the, if i try safe boot it vibrates and restarts else it restarts silently.
How much are the fast reboot or reboot/kill software really needed on ICS?im finding that even on a large exclude list there are still apps that run, that i dont really need and eat up some of the interal memory.is there any other way other than rebooting all the time to get rid of them? Will rebooting drain more battery energy?
I have nokia E90 and i had the firmware version 3 on it when the V4 was released i could do an update for it easly with no problems, but now i want to reinstall the V4 firmware but it says no new updates for my mobile?and no REINSTALL option found?please help me with it as my product code is:0562934.
Having managed to get my phone back to normal (with CPitchford's help). I am needing some help with re-installing Prismic Wallpaper Manager that I had bought and installed whilst I was running on Global f/w. Now I am back on UK 51, it doesn't run the install when I double click on the DEB file. Got the following advice back from their support desk:
Do you have the latest firmware? If so you can simply open the .deb in the File Manager program and it will install. If you don't, you can use XTerm (you may need to 'sudo gainroot')and run: dpkg -i prismicwm_1.4.4_armel.deb
In which ever directory you've put the file, this should install it. If it complains about dependencies, do: apt-get install packagename. Where packagename is whatever it's complaining about (eg. gnome-python). So please can you re-interpret it into step-by-step?
Without any clear reason, all in a sudden I get this message: "JVM Error 517" and below that there is a reset button. The message is in the middle of the screen (white color) in a very small font size. Only thing I can do is press enter and then the BB will be rebooted and will end finally in the sam screen with again the same error message. Also tried to replace the battery but this will have the same result as a reboot....ending with the same white screen and "JVM Error 517".Tried also to reinstall software with the desktop manager but without succes.
I have tried using Update Service and PC Companion to reinstall my vivaz pro software but each time I reach where you need to hold the call key to insert the usb to phone (after removing battery and inserting battery), nothing happens after hours. I've hold the call key for one and half hours (twice at different times) but nothing happens again. My internet speed is OK.Any alternative suggestion or help?I would really appreciate this.
I was playing "design this home" and made a mistake so I deleted the app but when I go into the app store to reinstall it. It says it's "install" instead of "free" how can I restart the whole game. I wanna start the game again but it keeps going back to where I was up to.

I uninstalled the Ovi Maps app on my 6650 phone, abd now I can't figure out how to reinstall it. The Map Updater program tells me that the files on my phone are up to date, but the app is missing on the phone.
I have the Xperia Z5 compact for 3 days now. Today I was reading an email as suddenly the notification light started blinking red and the phone crashed to immediately start anew.
Now it's fine again but I feel a bit uneasy as I never encountered something like this on any Xperia before..
