Eecently updated to Android 5 and now my phone will ring but there is no volume or vibration.
I have gone through all of the settings. Interestingly when I play with ringtone volume slider it.
Does not trigger the ring tone (always has). I've to reboot the phone to fix it !
I have a Xperia Z3 compact, all working well. but when i get a message the tone or sound only goes once, then stops,, is there a way to make it ring again at intervals ????? my old phone did this, so if i missed the sound the first time may hear it later,, so i didnt have to keep checking if i had any messages... have tried all the tones to see if easier to hear,, but they still only sound once,Â

My iphone will not play a ringtone or text tone when I get an incoming call/text. My ringer IS on, I can hear sound just fine when I go through and click the preview of whatever ringtone is selected, however won't play. Have tried multiple ringtones and even tried to power off/on my phone.

When an incoming call, email and or message is received only the LED blinks. I get no sound/ringtone nor does the phone vibrate. I've checked the phone's settings and all appears to be as it should.
My phone has suddenly lost all sound when i get a call. It plays music and rings OK but there is no sound coming from the ear-piece, I cannot hear the other person when I receive or make a call but they can hear me.

It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.

I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.

I am relatively new with my Galaxy SII, and noticed that when I receive either a sms or notification, the phone sounds too low. I can't even noticed it has vibrated (since it vibrates only once, comparing with a phone call). I have some programs like skype and viber which also can't listend if someone calls me.
how to make better volume for this type of operations??
I am unable to hear sound i.e. rings, voice, etc., when I try and make a call and when someone calls me it doesn't ring on my phone just pops up voicemail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently baught the n97 mini, and I can't figure out how to put my personal sound file as a ring for the alarmclock. Does it mean it is not possible and I have to wake up with the tones that already were saved on the mobile?
I already have my musique saved, and I was able to choose my ring tone among my files so I think I'm missing something regarding the alarm.
My IPhone 5c stopped alerting me to text messages. I have gone into settings, went to sounds, scrolled down to messages & selected an alert tone. IPhone will only vibrate on texts, volume is turned up. It stopped ringing for phone calls too and will only vibrate.  It is super armored with an Otterbox and has not been dropped or broken.Â
I turned off vibrate. I have even went to Settings General and Reset the Phone totally.Â
Volume is turned up. Text and Ringtone for Calls was set in settings. It plays them fine when I choose them.Â
I have no more updates available for the phone   Update is current OS 7.1.2

I bought my lumia 920 two days ago.I like it.. it is very impressive.I have some problems and I would like to understand if they are related to software or hardware.bviously there is the problem of the random reboot. I am pretty sure it is software related, hope Nokia will fix this soon.The other issue is a sound crackling when a sound start, it happen after a notification, playing games and playing music... apparently it doesn't affect Nokia music app.The problem is not the speaker because it happen also with streaming audio via a2dp.

On my brand new Razr (24hrs old!) - I have noticed that when the phone boots and the SD card is mounted, there is an Audible sound "DROID" - and its annoying. (Now, I am not talking about the mechanical sound/video that fires up when the phone boots). In Sound Settings I find a section called "SD Card Notifications". You can turn that off or on and here is the odd part. If I turn it On, it will use whatever I have the "Notification Ringtone" set at. That makes sense. If I turn if Off, it will use my "Phone Ring Tone"! - A long MP3... This does not make sense. In other words, I cannot silence it and I would like to. The phone does have a "Silent" ring tone (internally) but it is not one of the available "Notification Ringtones" I can use.

I checked sound settings and they are all maxed out after a reboot, but still no sound until the second text message.

When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.

But even with ringer volume on full it still does not ring. Text & notification alerts are fine...its aaudible...only incoming call dont ring. I`ve done a repair/reload of Android 2.1 & it worked for only a few hours.Should I just go get another one?
