I recently baught the n97 mini, and I can't figure out how to put my personal sound file as a ring for the alarmclock. Does it mean it is not possible and I have to wake up with the tones that already were saved on the mobile?
I already have my musique saved, and I was able to choose my ring tone among my files so I think I'm missing something regarding the alarm.
Occassionally, when my alarm goes off in the morning, it won't ring. It will just vibrate. I have no clue why this is happening. I thought I had it figured out but it happened again today. I think it has something to do with smart actions (even though I don't have a smart action for alarm).
My alarm goes off vibrate only, no sound and a box is on the screen saying the alarm clock needs force closed. Then my phone freezes up and I have to turn it off via power and volume key. I'm using the stock alarm clock too.
I've had my Electrify since the beginning of the year, and I recently started having trouble with the alarm clock. I will set it for 7:00 a.m., it will show up on the screen at 7 like normal, but the sound does not play. Then, when I wake up late for work, I have a notification saying that the alarm was silenced after 30 minutes. Like all other issues, I remove the battery and restart the phone, then it works fine. However, I really don't want to test my alarm just to make sure that it will work every morning.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
kies advised that a system update was available for my S5 so I updated. Since then, my alarm doesn't sound in silent mode and system doesn't allow me to change sounds of silent mode.
I've tried 3rd party alarm as well, but didn't make a difference.
Since I installed the maemo update, my alarm clock is not working anymore. well, it's working, but it doesn't make any sound. I tried to change almost all possible settings concerning sounds on the phone, but it still doesn't make any sound.Does anyone else have this problem? Or a solution?

Battery is ok, sound quality is horrible, but my real problem is the alarm clock - it just doesn't work! I rely on my phone to wake me up for work and it doesn't do the job. I've tried renaming the alarm, setting it to repeat on couple of days or just one time and it doesn't go off. The alarm worked perfectly on my HTC HD7 (the sound quality was also great on this device), but since I've switched to lumia I have to put up with more and more problems

I can do nothing with my clock, as I travel to foreign country and need to reset my time (I turned off the Automatic Updates). Also, my alarm can't be removed since I can't open the clock. I recently bought a Lumia 800, and found that the alarm clock only works when the phone is ON, but it doesn't work when it's OFF. Is there any way to change this setting? obviously it doesn't make sense to have the alarm which is only working when the phone is on, as I don't want to leave my phone on overnight.

When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? View 5 Replies View RelatedI use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."
Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.
I am a long time Android user, but just recently got the LG G3 (32GB version) with Bell Canada. I had a Samsung SIII for the past few years and upgrade time came. So I did my research, found the LG G3, and so far I've been very happy.
There is one issue, though, that I have found with the alarm clock. I first noticed it Saturday (I got the phone Friday), set up the alarm clock app, and made sure it worked (by setting it 2-3 min in the future and waiting). Saturday morning, I found myself naturally waking up, I didn't think much of it as that is normal for a Saturday. Then I realized that it was around 9 AM (the alarm was set for 8 AM), I asked my wife if she heard it --- she said, "no". So then I set it for a few minutes in the future again, "must have slept through it", I thought (even though I could wake up to the SOUND of the display coming on).
Sunday morning I got woke up by the kids at 6 AM, but noticed that the alarm DID go off at 8 AM (the difference being that since 6 AM, I had the device unplugged and had been using it).
Today, I had my alarm set for 5:30 (my normal waking time during the week), I woke up to the sound of my wife's alarm at 5:45, mine definitely did not go off. I rolled over and opened the alarm app --- everything is set up properly. So then I figure that I'll set it for 5:50, do so, and it goes off at 5:50, I snooze it and it goes off at 6:00.
This morning I installed Alarm Clock Plus, but I won't know if it works properly until tomorrow morning. All my Stock alarm settings are correct, I DO have Quiet Mode turned on for the duration of the night (10 PM -- 6 AM), but some of the tests I ran (eg the 5:50 one) were ran during Quiet Mode. In Quiet mode I have "Block alarms" unchecked. Under the stock Alarm Clock's settings I have "Ring in Silent Mode" checked as well.
I set my alarm the night before and by the time morning comes the alarm is turned off by itself. The icon goes away and I have to go into the clock app to turn it back on.

When I set an alarm I only have option to use 12-hour AM/PM format. Is there a way to have the alarm using the 24 hour format?
(Good news is that the calendar alarms now allow 24 hour format for reminders which was not possible on my 1020!)

hithe alarm on my Bold 9790 does not ring, its as if the alarm is set "off".Have tried removing the battery to reset.
