Jun 20, 2012when we put an alarm on the clock and wtich off the phone, the alarm does not ring for me ,Am I missing something? or this is how Iphone is?

Sep 2, 2015Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.I've missed my alarm the last two mornings and I now realise why > the vibration wasn't working. I have it set to Vibrate only (no Sound) as I don't want to wake my baby as well.
Tests today also showed that when I put it in Silent/Vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate when receiving calls either.However when I select Silent/Vibrate mode it does the little vibrate feedback so its not like the vibrate feature doesn't work at all.

Apr 3, 2012Occassionally, when my alarm goes off in the morning, it won't ring. It will just vibrate. I have no clue why this is happening. I thought I had it figured out but it happened again today. I think it has something to do with smart actions (even though I don't have a smart action for alarm).
My alarm goes off vibrate only, no sound and a box is on the screen saying the alarm clock needs force closed. Then my phone freezes up and I have to turn it off via power and volume key. I'm using the stock alarm clock too.

Jul 27, 2010One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

Apr 26, 2010I use the alarm clock function on my BB 9550 and have been noticing the alarm does not ring if the screen is locked (i.e., using the power button function on the top of the device). Specifically, there is still an alarm notification on the screen (to dismiss or snooze), but there is no sound. That's a problem. Seems to work fine if the screen is unlocked.
This just became a problem with the upgrade to O/S version 5.0.0.607. Before that I noticed that the alarm would only be a low hum if the screen was locked, but now there is nothing at all!

May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Alarm Set / Sound Normal But Alarm Wont Go Off?
Jun 20, 2010Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.

All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown

Sep 17, 2010I am using a ringtone that came installed on the phone. I have vibrate set to off and I am in the loud profile. When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Jul 14, 2010I use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."
Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.

Jun 19, 2014I am having an issue with the alarm on my iPhone 5c (iOS 7). I have an alarm set for 6 a.m. every weekday. Every morning when I wake up I see a notification that there was an alarm at that time, but it never actually rings. I have my ringer turned off, and the Do Not Disturb set for between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. I would think the alarm would ring through both of these features (and I know it used to on my iPhone 5s) but it is obviously not working.

Sep 2, 2014I (iPhone 5S, iOS 7.1.1) set my usual alarm for 5:50am this morning but awoke at 7am on my own. I thought I had just forgotten to turn it on, but when I looked at my screen the usual alarm screen was there, complete with "slide to unlock," just no ringing or vibrating. I checked my settings, and there was nothing changed in Sounds, and DND wasn't turned on (I don't think that would have made a difference anyways). I was an hour late to work today because of it, so I'm a little frustrated. It's really important than I'm able to trust my alarm clock, and if Apple Clock has ceased to be reliable I need to find another solution.Â

Mar 27, 2012Seems like after the last update, the phone won't ring for incoming calls and text messages. It appears lots of other iPhone users are having the same issue. I am just out of warranty on the phone and I wasn't going to purchase a warranty because I was waiting for the new phone to appear. The alarm works fine and the ringtones play when I try to select new ringtones. This is really a problem...I never had this kind of problem with my older iphones!
