I am having an issue with the alarm on my iPhone 5c (iOS 7). I have an alarm set for 6 a.m. every weekday. Every morning when I wake up I see a notification that there was an alarm at that time, but it never actually rings. I have my ringer turned off, and the Do Not Disturb set for between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. I would think the alarm would ring through both of these features (and I know it used to on my iPhone 5s) but it is obviously not working.
I have set a few alarms, and sometimes they don't go off, and it is really annoying since I need my alarm to get up for stuff like lectures etc! I set it yesterday to go off today at 12, but it didnt go off! and I ended up getting up at fricking 2pm!! I try to replicate the problem by like setting the alarm in 1 minute, but it will go off.
Here's the deal: been using the default alarm the whole year, running Lollipop in Priority Mode - - everything working a-ok.
After having overslept twice it was time for some troubleshooting: the alarm did start by lighting the screen but no sound/vibration. And here it gets weird: when I try the alarm in normal mode with everything up to eleven (sound/vibration) it still gives me nothing.. Also tried a third-party alarm app,
I am not able to set the alarm on the clock or calendar I don't know wats wrong because I have only had this fone 4 two weeks I have tried to pull the battry out several times and even went to the extent of updating the software and its still not working .
Updated Z3+ to Marshmallow 5.0.2 and subsequently discovered (on the first day back to work) that alarms (native clock) no longer work after the phone is left overnight.  Have checked notifications, priority status, display settings etc. Have force closed, cleared cache and re-started. No success.  If I test the alarm during the daytime (with normal phone usage) it works fine, the problem only occurs when the phone is left idle for extended periods.  Have spent hours on forums looking for solutions, with some references to Doze causing issues, although seemingly not with native clocks and as far as I can tell, not with Xperia devices.
One thing I have just noticed is that setting the phone on Silent Mode using the Mute toggle in the Notification bar, (see screenshots), now allows the Alarm to sound as usual.
Since I installed the maemo update, my alarm clock is not working anymore. well, it's working, but it doesn't make any sound. I tried to change almost all possible settings concerning sounds on the phone, but it still doesn't make any sound.Does anyone else have this problem? Or a solution?
When I set the alarm clock on my new 2700 classic, it does not sound or vibrate in the morning, and the alarm bell symbol indicating that the alarm clock is set has disappeared? My dad has the same problem with his Nokia, it may be the 3610 fold but I am not sure. We have both had many Nokias before and never had problems with the alarm clocks.I searched the discussion boards for similar topics but found no threads?
I have a black nokia lumia 800. The firmware version in 1600.2483.8107.11501 (still waiting for 12070 one). Battery is ok, sound quality is horrible, but my real problem is the alarm clock - it just doesn't work! I rely on my phone to wake me up for work and it doesn't do the job. I've tried renaming the alarm, setting it to repeat on couple of days or just one time and it doesn't go off. The alarm worked perfectly on my HTC HD7 (the sound quality was also great on this device), but since I've switched to lumia I have to put up with more and more problems
I've been having issues with my alarm not going off in the mornings. The "Snooze", "Dismiss" window does come up but there is no alarm sound to wake me. I noticed that if I shut down the Bold, power up and reset the alarm it will go off, but by morning no sound. I overslept this morning because of it.
I set my alarm last night and it didn't work this morning. I've tested it with the phone on "do not disturb" with an exception of the alarm and I've tested it with the sound on, the alarm failed to work both times. Don't understand why as it was working fine last week.
how to get a Bluetooth alarm app working on the Xoom? Something that connects the Xoom to my phone via Bluetooth and alerts me if the Xoom gets far enough away to lose the Bluetooth connection. I want to use something like 'StayCloseToMe' (in the Market) but I don't see a way to keep the Xoom connecteced to my phone. It doesn't stay connected to the phone like a headset would.
I recently bought a Lumia 800, and found that the alarm clock only works when the phone is ON, but it doesn't work when it's OFF. Is there any way to change this setting? obviously it doesn't make sense to have the alarm which is only working when the phone is on, as I don't want to leave my phone on overnight.
How I can get the alarm to sound when the phone is is do not disturb? I found a whole thread on it for the samsung but can't find one for the lg g3, I'm using the lg g3s.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.I've missed my alarm the last two mornings and I now realise why > the vibration wasn't working. I have it set to Vibrate only (no Sound) as I don't want to wake my baby as well.
Tests today also showed that when I put it in Silent/Vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate when receiving calls either. However when I select Silent/Vibrate mode it does the little vibrate feedback so its not like the vibrate feature doesn't work at all.
I've notice two bugs with this new update on my unlocked 1020 with tmobile:
1. I can no longer hear any notifications, or alarms.
When I navigate to settings>ringtones+notifications>and try to set my ringtone, I can't even get a preview of the sound. When i press the preview/play button, i get backed out into the settings menu again.
2. When I am typing a text and someone else texts me, I get backed out into the main menu/ metro pane menu.
Noticed these problems with OS version 8.10.12382.878
I tried a soft reset and a hard reset (factory), but it didn't work....
I have had a Nokia E51 for about 4 years - I used it till it literally stopped working. That phone started out great, but gave me A LOT of trouble and I started to hate it around month 6.
Fast forward a few years and I need to buy a new phone. I search around and find a phone that has OFFLINE GPS! Whoa! Also, great reviews! I am sold. Turns out it's another Nokia (C6-01).
I have had this thing for about 2.5 months now and I am getting really really paranoid considering my history with Nokia phones. They have always surprised me in a very negative way after initially seducing me. I want to love Nokia, but the phone's always prevent me.
Anyway, Last night I tried to set an alarm on my c6-01 and when I tried to alter the time by tapping the text field, THE ON SCREEN KEYBOARD DID NOT SHOW UP. f*ck. Basically, according to my phone, I could only wake up at 11:15 AM - despite having work at 8:00 AM.
I did do a recent software update a few weeks ago, but from what I remember, the keyboard worked after this update. I am pretty sure I am still under warranty and if that's the case, I am just going to return it to Amazon and never touch another nokia.
My phone Info:
Model: C6-01 Type: RM-601 Release: Nokia Belle Refresh Software Version: 111.040.1511 Software Version date: 2012-07-28
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.
It seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.
Lumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown - Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
am completely new here and completely new to the smart phone. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. Is there a way to activate this so that it will work, or does the phone have to be switched on to use this facility
I use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."
Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.
I am going to need an alarm clock, but the place I am going to be will most likely have no cell signal. will the alarm clock still work if I put it in airplane mode? I will be charging it at night so it won't run out of battery and turning it off during the day
I (iPhone 5S, iOS 7.1.1) set my usual alarm for 5:50am this morning but awoke at 7am on my own. I thought I had just forgotten to turn it on, but when I looked at my screen the usual alarm screen was there, complete with "slide to unlock," just no ringing or vibrating. I checked my settings, and there was nothing changed in Sounds, and DND wasn't turned on (I don't think that would have made a difference anyways). I was an hour late to work today because of it, so I'm a little frustrated. It's really important than I'm able to trust my alarm clock, and if Apple Clock has ceased to be reliable I need to find another solution.Â
