as the title says, when someone phones me they hear music instead of the standard "ring ring" that you would expect to hear. It starts of with someone saying "to download ringtone" then just plays annoying music. I've tried a hard reset but it's still there!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI finally got round to rooting my phone last night to hopefully get rid of my "MAPServicesamsung has unfortunately stopped" problem that I and a few others have had since going from GB to ICS. Downloaded insecure kernal CF-Root-SGS2_XW_ODD_KE8-v4.0-CWM4.tar and phone got suck on yellow triange during reboot so turned off and wouldn't turn on again, just the battery indicator showing as the USB was still plugged in. Saw others have had the same problem and the way to overcome it was to load CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.tar and sure enough this worked (still had yellow triangle to start with) and then rooted with S2Root_1.5.1_Release (1). Now my wi-fi will not connect. It recognises it but keeps scrolling between authenticating, Obtaining IP address and Saved, secured with WPA2 and sometimes Avoided poor internet connection (even though signal is showing as excellent). I've done allsorts since; deleted it and scanned back in, changed from DHCP to static and back, rebooted the router, taken the battery out.

I use my cell as my primary phone and it would be nice while I sleep to hear the phone ring and not hear all the other sounds the phone makes for notifications and stuff like that.
I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.
Can I adjust the time setting? I want it to ring for at least 30sec before it diverts to voicemail, can't find a way of doing this!

I can't even noticed it has vibrated (since it vibrates only once, comparing with a phone call). I have some programs like skype and viber which also can't listend if someone calls me.

I have extremely poor hearing and none of the ringtones are louder than a whisper, even my gf who has normal hearing comments on how quite the ringer is. I'm sure this is a 101 type question but can anyone help me find a way to make my ringer stupidly loud? I still have the 1st gen iphone. Waiting on the g4 to come out.

I am using a ringtone that came installed on the phone. I have vibrate set to off and I am in the loud profile. When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.

When I answer the call, I cant hear the person at the other end of the line, nor can the other person hear me. If I try ringing someone, I cant hear their phone ringing, but I get the message that we are connected, but cant have any conversation. When I do a full power off and restart, its all back to normal.

I have a Samsung saga i770. I bricked the phone. Sent it to samsung, they reflashed it to the new rom. (long story) Get the phone back , marked as unable to be repaired. Turned phone on and it started up. All looked normal but the phone will not produce an audible ring. It will vibrate when called but not ring. I check the obvious settings. If I use a wired head set I can hear the phone ring.

First off, when I upgraded it changed all my ring tones which is fine because I remember them all. But now when I go to change them, it only let's me choose music as ring tones. All the standard ones that came with the phone are missing, and those are what I was using. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it? I don't like the ring tones it's using and would really like to change them back to what they were.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Samsung R355C from Wal-Mart for use with straight talk. I like it so far. I am having one problem with it that I can not seem to find any help or info for. I am using ring-tones I put on the SD card and every time I shut the phone off it sets the ring-tones back to default. I then have to set my ring-tones again. Does anybody know if there is a way around this? It seems like a stupid thing for the phone to do and its a little annoying.

Set this mp3 file as the ring tone to all the profiles. I did not set any custom ringtone to any individual contact.But when i recieve a call, both my custom ring tone and the 'Ringer_ClassicPhone' are playing together.Also, a file 'Ringer_ClassicPhone.mp3' is being created automatically a'/Device memory/home/user/ringtones/Ringer_ClassicPhone.mp3'Everytime I recieve a call... i get two hear two sounds... it very annoying...
