I have extremely poor hearing and none of the ringtones are louder than a whisper, even my gf who has normal hearing comments on how quite the ringer is. I'm sure this is a 101 type question but can anyone help me find a way to make my ringer stupidly loud? I still have the 1st gen iphone. Waiting on the g4 to come out.
as the title says, when someone phones me they hear music instead of the standard "ring ring" that you would expect to hear. It starts of with someone saying "to download ringtone" then just plays annoying music. I've tried a hard reset but it's still there!
I am using an iPhone 6 Plus (magnificent device) and a Sony MDR-10RBT headset (another killer). But when an incoming call comes, why does not the phone ring? i can hear only from the bluetooth headset speaker. When I was using this very headset with my earlier phone the iPhone 4S, I could hear the incoming call on both the phone ringer and the headset.
recently, on phone calls i cannot hear anything. it doesn't ring and i can't hear the person but they can hear me. the volume works on all other applications except the phone calls. it also works on speaker or with headphones in
Nokia 3110 Classic.I can hear the kepad tones I cannot hear the ringing tones. This has recently happened. Up to now everything has been fine. Probably finger trouble. The volume is at maximum.I only have the standard ring tones.I cannot hear them when a call is received and also not when selecting them from Settings/ Tones/ Ring tone/More/Open gallery/Tones/Ring tones.I can hear the tones through the hands free earphone, both when a call is received and when selecting them .Being able to hear the keypad tones, with the handset not plugged in, I think means the mechanical speaker cutoff is not involved.
I have a Bold 9900. Of late, I have had a problem wherein I am unable to hear the phone's ring. The phone vibrates and I can see a call coming in. When I answer the call, I cant hear the person at the other end of the line, nor can the other person hear me. If I try ringing someone, I cant hear their phone ringing, but I get the message that we are connected, but cant have any conversation. When I do a full power off and restart, its all back to normal.
My BB9900 is working fine receiving calls, texts, emails etc but I can't hear anything when someone calls, nor can I hear message bank. I've checked all the options and mute buttons and everything but cant work it out.
Wife is looking at getting an iPhone. Is it possible to have only the phone ring? Silent for everything else. She is an RN and is on call at night. Third part app is fine. She is used to a BlackBerry which does this natively. Also, any way to have different alerts for sms/mms and for multiple email accounts? I have conflicting information on this and wonder if anyone can shed some light.
When calling with Skype the called party can see and hear me perfectly but I can neither hear nor see them. Normal calls with the 4S work just fine. I tried activating the Skype test call and it connected just fine but I was unavble to hear anything.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Tried rebooting without success
This has happened once or twice before, now it has happened three times in a week. If I try to make or answer a call the Speaker button illuminates and I can't hear anything nor can anyone on the other end.
I have an Otter Box case with the hard case inside the protective rubber. I took it to Verizon and they cleaned it good a week ago. They also showed me the way to delete the background things that are running.
Today I checked the volume setting to ensure it didn't say Earphones or whatever it says. It just says Ringer. I have to do the bigger reboot (both buttons) to make it work again.

I have done everything, form checking the soung a million times, to restarted it from itunes, and restarted withot icloud copy, and still doesn´t work. how to reach an apple support? the is no such thing as world warranty if you live in argentina as I do and online this is the only way to write something.
I have an Iphone 4s - cannot hear the audio on the phone or hear music being played. When I try to turn up the audio the screen says audio-headsets? But yet, I have no headset connect.how to change where I can hear audio?
I jailbroke using redsn0w and unlocked using ultrasn0w. Everything went fantastic until I made a call. I can not hear any noise coming from the other end. This problem is fixed when on speakerphone. It does not matter whether the call is sent or recieved from the phone. Obviously, I would like to be able to use it when not on speakerphone. This phone had no problems in this regard before I jailbroke/unlocked it.
iPhone 4s, purchased when originally released. Perfect condition, no drops, no spills, just normal use.
Just updated to iOS 5.1, and literally moments after install, first phone call came in, and I answered, the person sounded like she was speaking through an old trucker's CB on his way through Nebraska (no offense). Three days later after resetting, etc., still same issue.
Questions:
1. Is it hardware or software related, and is it just a coincidence that the receiver failed after updating?
2. Is it possible to reinstall an older iOS (like 5.0.1), and if so, how?
I just got a pair of Apple earbuds and have started using them for phone calls. Unlike the bluetooth I'm used to, I'm not able to hear myself on calls and it feels disconcerting. Other people have no trouble hearing me, so it's not an issue of the mic itself not working. Is there some kind of setting for this on my iPhone 5? On OS 7.1.2.
How can I set my phone to still ring/alert me for phone calls at night BUT not have all the other notifications (email,FaceBook, iMessage) on/off individually?
