IPhone :: Why Does 4 Go To Speaker Phone And Can't Hear Anything
Jun 12, 2012
This has happened once or twice before, now it has happened three times in a week. If I try to make or answer a call the Speaker button illuminates and I can't hear anything nor can anyone on the other end.
I have an Otter Box case with the hard case inside the protective rubber. I took it to Verizon and they cleaned it good a week ago. They also showed me the way to delete the background things that are running.
Today I checked the volume setting to ensure it didn't say Earphones or whatever it says. It just says Ringer. I have to do the bigger reboot (both buttons) to make it work again.
Occasionally the person on the other end of the line can't hear me - unless I can turn the speaker phone on in time. I have tried rebooting. My software is up to date. And I have tried with bluetooth off. It still happens sometimes - but not all the time.
This afternoon my speaker on my phone stopped working. I can not hear it ringing when someone call, but if I see someone calling and I answer the call they can hear me and I can hear them fine. I also can't not put the caller on speaker at all , I also can't hear my music or gaming apps. When I turn my phone on or off it does not make a sound as well. I have turned the phone off and turned it off by pressing the top button and home button at the same time and that did not work. I checked the volume and the mute button and the volume is up all the way.
Either making or taking calls on my Galaxy S5 model I cannot hear the other side unless I switch the phone to speaker mode. Have I switched on something or other which is preventing the audio on the phone from working properly.
My phone was working fine until a few days ago. Now, if I try to use the phone to make a call...I hear nothing through the phone. I also cannot answer calls. the only way I can talk on the phone or answer an incoming call is if I use "Speaker" or Bluetooth as the audio source.
Since downloadig the last iPhone 4S Software I have not been able to listen to music on load speaker or hear audio from videos. I have restored the phone only to find the same issue again?
iphone repeatedly restored, erased, cannot hear outgoing calls on dialing, no incoming unless speaker is activated. Has worked very shortly, after restore, than die again.
When placing calls on my iPhone 4, I cannot hear incoming or outgoing calls unless I use the speaker. I have tried backing up the phone and resetting it but it was unsuccessful.
when i use my speaker option during a call, i can hear the other person perfectly, however they cannot hear i thing i say. its as if i muted them. speaker works just fine while listening to music. mic issues?
I can't hear my messages well when I play them back on Speaker Mode. I covered the right speaker as a test, and could hardly hear anything from the left speaker. When I covered the left speaker, the right one was pretty loud. Is that normal?
When I place a call on my iPhone 4 I now can't hear the caller on my iPhone unless I shift to speaker mode. The phone works fine with both blue tooth and ear buds and plays music over the speaker just fine. But if someone calls me I have shift to speaker mode to be able to hear them. I've confirmed the volume is up, I've tried turning off the phone and turning it back on and I tried before and after syncing.
I am using an iPhone 6 Plus (magnificent device) and a Sony MDR-10RBT headset (another killer). But when an incoming call comes, why does not the phone ring? i can hear only from the bluetooth headset speaker. When I was using this very headset with my earlier phone the iPhone 4S, I could hear the incoming call on both the phone ringer and the headset.
When making or receiving calls, I found that they could hear me, but I couldn't hear them unless I was using Speakerphone or Headset. To solve it, I plugged in the Headset and made a call. While on the call, I used the BlackBerry button to select 'Activate Handset'.
My brother has put a jack into the headphone jack outlet and im not sure what happend, but after he did that,my speaker stopped working and headphones wont work either. When i call someone they can here me but i cant here them, then when i hang up,my screen goes white, then restarts. Im not sure if he has blown the speaker or punctured through something after he put in the jack.
First time post and really hoping someone can help before I need to claim on insurance. My Blackberry Torch has worked great until all of a sudden this week I have been unable to hear people when they call me.They can hear me - but I simply hear no audio at all from the handset. The only way I can hear what callers are saying is if I put them on speaker phone or use headphones.I have tried hard reset, volume level checks, updating software to no avail.
i cant hear incoming calls or any sound from my phones internal speaker which we usually use to hear calls where as if i switch to the external speaker or plug in the headphones than i can hear it. i dont dknow whats the problem and am really worried please help. i showed the phone to a repair shop as well they checked the speaker and its perfectly fine everything else is working fine i have done the factory reset and tried to fix the problem thorugh software update as well but problem still persisits
