I jailbroke using redsn0w and unlocked using ultrasn0w. Everything went fantastic until I made a call. I can not hear any noise coming from the other end. This problem is fixed when on speakerphone. It does not matter whether the call is sent or recieved from the phone. Obviously, I would like to be able to use it when not on speakerphone. This phone had no problems in this regard before I jailbroke/unlocked it.
I just got a pair of Apple earbuds and have started using them for phone calls. Unlike the bluetooth I'm used to, I'm not able to hear myself on calls and it feels disconcerting. Other people have no trouble hearing me, so it's not an issue of the mic itself not working. Is there some kind of setting for this on my iPhone 5? On OS 7.1.2.
I have the iphone 4s through Sprint. Sometimes when I make outgoing calls, I can't even hear the phone ring or the person on the other line, but it does connect and they can hear me. It doesn't happen all of the time, but more frequently then not.
Basically during a call, no body can hear me but i can hear them. However i can still record on voice memo and on video. I am on a phone 4 on the 5.1.1 software on Tesco Mobile UK.
today my friend phoned me and i answered but i could not hear them at all, so i thought it was due to signal loss. i hung up and phoned them, but once again i couldn't hear them.they could hear me perfectly.i received another phonecall today and the exact same thing happened.to try and see what was wrong i tried calling my voicemail to see if i could hear it and nothing.also, i can play music and ringtones perfectly and my alarm goes off as normal. and also i can hear them via speakerphone or headset.i've tried 4 battery pulls and they haven't worked.i am very worried about this as i am receiving a phonecall this week regarding an important career offer.i have a Blackberry Bold 9700, on carrier O2 UK with OS 6 software.
i have a brand new motorola bravo bought from att (android 2.2). when i make phone calls, i can see the call going out and it even shows 'active call'. but i cannot hear anything and also, the other person cant hear my voice. so, basically, no voice is going in and out during a phone call. same for incoming calls: i can see the call coming and when i accept, it shows 'active call' but no voice is going in and out.
music and Internet work fine. i can hear the phone ring when a call comes. so, fundamentally the phone's sound system works fine.....
I'm having an intermittent issue of having no sound on phone calls. The call will go through, but there is no audio. I restart will usually help the issue. I have alrady done a factory reset of the phone hoping to alleviate the problem but it still happened last night.
So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions: -will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...? -otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
I have just recently bought a Nokia N97 ( Not Mini ) and I cannot hear anything on the phone when I either Make or Receive any calls. The only odd thing I can see after doing a Factory Reset is that the Headphones Symbol is constantly ON all the time and I was just wondering if this is normal for this type of phone or is the phone showing a fault.
I've been the happy owner of an LG vx8700 for two and a half years now, and I've never had any complaints. This phone has never caused me a single problem...until recently. When I make phone calls, I am unable to hear anything, even a ringing. Sometimes I can finally hear people after about 20 seconds, sometimes I can't hear anything at all. This also happens sometimes when other people call me. Is there any way for me to fix this problem, or is it finally time for me to consider buying a new phone?
OK, this is one of the very few issues I've had, and it is very intermittent. Since September, only has happened like 3-4 times.I make a phone call - or someone calls me - and I can't hear them; nor them me. The green "connection" icon is active in the top bar - as is my DIALER (when I initiate the call - "END CALL" is active). When I call them, I never hear anything - including the normal dial out 'connection/ringing' sounds. They in fact DO get the ringing on their end and answer, but to them it appears as if nobody is on the line.I've tried just a simple AIRPLANE mode toggle, but that doesn't fix it. A Power reset of my phone fixes it every time. Has anyone else experienced this?
All of a sudden I cannot hear anything when making calls and I cannot hear anything when answering calls?? It rings both ways but when I answer I don't hear the other party and they cannot hear me. When i call someone I don't hear it ringing even though it say calling, then connected.
Ok so i recently got an iphone 4. I have a problem that if someone tries to call me and i answer i can hear them but they cant hear me. Even if i put speaker or a headset they still cant hear me. I looked thru the settings and i dont see anything that can interrupt it. I tried doing the voice record and it records my voice but doesnt the voice record use the same mic when you make calls? I mean if it is then theres something thats blocking me from talking when someone calls me.
Iphone 3G (3.0) Jailbroken. Recently, When I receive or call anyone the other person cannot hear me at all. I have tested this by calling myself. I cant really tell if the "speaker mode" works or not. Its kind of confusing calling yourself. Recent applications that I added were Pedometer, iBlacklist, Tethering. All kind of other sound are working just fine. If any, where are the microphone settings located? No I did not drop it or step on the IPhone, I don't do that kind stuff.
Anyway Mic stopped working I had this IPhone for about 1 1/2 yrs and treat it like my only child no scratches no nothing I take good care of it. No the case is not covering the Mic. No I have not tried to Restore it. If so, is it safe to jailbreak to the latest firm 3.1.2 i think, any hidden surprises to that, don't want to find out after the jailbreak. Like some firm changed my Baseband in the past I thought the world just stopped spinning or something. Others can hear me if I have the headphone wire attached and speak into the Mic in the wire.
Having issues when using the standard call feature where the other caller cannot hear me. However, if I use Viber it works pefectly all of the time! Done all the relevant software restores and still no luck. Any suggestions from anyone? The phone is 16 months old also, good condition.
Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.1, 16 months old, good condition
So lately I've noticed that some of the phone calls I make now have either choppy reception or the person on the other end can't hear me at all, no matter how much I yell into the mic. Its not the mute button, and I've had the problem happen to me a handful of times on completely random occassions. Sometimes I get good call quality, other times the person on the other end can't hear a single word I've said.
I've also noticed another oddity on my phone. Sometimes if a contact calls me, it shows up as a Blocked Call. This has happened when my family has tried to call or friends. Its also a problem that is completely random on my phone.
Anyone know anything that could help me out here? I'm not sure if the issues are related to me once dropping my phone. It has a small little scuff on the right top corner as a small little battle scar, and I'm not sure if that caused something to go wonky inside the phone itself, and if that totally voids my ability to get a replacement phone or not.
Whenever i make and/or receive calls no one can hear me on the other line but I can hear them perfectly. I tried using the speaker and the headset but they can hear me whisper when I was talking perfectly clear. What do I do?
When I make a call on my iPhone 4 I can't hear the person I'm calling and they can't hear me and there's no static or sound at all. The phone call will connect and the other person will see that they're recieving a call from me. Another common occurance is that then I make a call the speaker phone button will be lit up when I haven't pressed it and it isn't on. Turning that off and on doesn't solve the problem and there isn't any water damage. I reset the phone and got a new sim card and that hasn't solved the situation. Multiple technicians have opened the phone and can't solve the problem.
I am unable to hear incoming call ring tone. But able to talk calls and hear music through headphone. But without headphone not able to hear music .Is there any settings to control speakers other than sounds.
When placing calls on my iPhone 4, I cannot hear incoming or outgoing calls unless I use the speaker. I have tried backing up the phone and resetting it but it was unsuccessful.
