I'm having an intermittent issue of having no sound on phone calls. The call will go through, but there is no audio. I restart will usually help the issue. I have alrady done a factory reset of the phone hoping to alleviate the problem but it still happened last night.

OK, this is one of the very few issues I've had, and it is very intermittent. Since September, only has happened like 3-4 times.I make a phone call - or someone calls me - and I can't hear them; nor them me. The green "connection" icon is active in the top bar - as is my DIALER (when I initiate the call - "END CALL" is active). When I call them, I never hear anything - including the normal dial out 'connection/ringing' sounds. They in fact DO get the ringing on their end and answer, but to them it appears as if nobody is on the line.I've tried just a simple AIRPLANE mode toggle, but that doesn't fix it. A Power reset of my phone fixes it every time. Has anyone else experienced this?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a brand new motorola bravo bought from att (android 2.2). when i make phone calls, i can see the call going out and it even shows 'active call'. but i cannot hear anything and also, the other person cant hear my voice. so, basically, no voice is going in and out during a phone call. same for incoming calls: i can see the call coming and when i accept, it shows 'active call' but no voice is going in and out.
music and Internet work fine. i can hear the phone ring when a call comes. so, fundamentally the phone's sound system works fine.....
today my friend phoned me and i answered but i could not hear them at all, so i thought it was due to signal loss. i hung up and phoned them, but once again i couldn't hear them.they could hear me perfectly.i received another phonecall today and the exact same thing happened.to try and see what was wrong i tried calling my voicemail to see if i could hear it and nothing.also, i can play music and ringtones perfectly and my alarm goes off as normal. and also i can hear them via speakerphone or headset.i've tried 4 battery pulls and they haven't worked.i am very worried about this as i am receiving a phonecall this week regarding an important career offer.i have a Blackberry Bold 9700, on carrier O2 UK with OS 6 software.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty sure that this problem started after the Memorial Day Gingerbread soak.Although, it's possible that it started after the mid-August Gingerbread fiasco.I can be sitting at my computer desk in my house and receive a Voicemail notification, only to learn that it was for a call that never rang or vibrated on my Droid X perhaps a quarter of an hour before. This has happened numerous times, while most of the time, the phone rings and calls arrive correctly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI jailbroke using redsn0w and unlocked using ultrasn0w. Everything went fantastic until I made a call. I can not hear any noise coming from the other end. This problem is fixed when on speakerphone. It does not matter whether the call is sent or recieved from the phone. Obviously, I would like to be able to use it when not on speakerphone. This phone had no problems in this regard before I jailbroke/unlocked it.

Unlike the bluetooth I'm used to, I'm not able to hear myself on calls and it feels disconcerting. Other people have no trouble hearing me, so it's not an issue of the mic itself not working. Is there some kind of setting for this on my iPhone 5? On OS 7.1.2.

I got a text telling me people were trying to contact me and I didn't answer the phone! It didn't ring. I've had it set for CDME/LTE because I live/work in a saturated 4G area. For some reason the phone read 3G with 4bars lit.No call. After multiple text messages the call came through. I've had people complain before that they've called when I've had the phone sitting next to me at work and it hasn't rung, and at other times it rings just fine.

Normally when you are on a call and put the phone close to your ear, the screen goes dark because you are on a call, but when you move it away the screen comes back on. My screen when I am on a phone call stays dark as soon as I answer it. It does not come back on when you move it away from my ear, and to get it back on I have to press the wake button. Additionally, I am unable to answer call waiting either- when another call is coming in, even pressing the wake button does not wake the phone until after the second caller hangs up.

This phone has never caused me a single problem...until recently. When I make phone calls, I am unable to hear anything, even a ringing. Sometimes I can finally hear people after about 20 seconds, sometimes I can't hear anything at all. This also happens sometimes when other people call me. Is there any way for me to fix this problem, or is it finally time for me to consider buying a new phone?

Making phone calls using hand set, everything seems fine. Then two about 10 seconds into the call I notice that I can't hear anything in the Turbo handset earpiece. When I look at the setting on the phone screen I notice that the connection has switched from "handset" to bluetooth. The only bluetooth device that is connected is the Moto 360.
When I switch it back to "handset" or "speaker" it works fine again. And when I switch back, the person on the other end of the call says: "Now I can hear you much better again, for a time you were very soft/far away" -- I'm assuming that is because they are hearing my voice picked up by my watch's microphone and not my droid turbo.
How to stop this from happening?
For the past 2 days while my phone is on vibrate mode. It wont vibrate for notifications and sometimes phone calls. Is anyone else having this issue. BTW im still on Gingerbread
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Droid X updated yesterday and now the audio no longer works when I make phone calls. The person I call or who calls me cannot hear my end of the conversation. It will only work if my phone is on speaker. Has anyone else experienced this or know a fix? I have taken out the battery to restart it, but that did not fix the problem. Verizon had no solutions besides to send me a refurbished phone replacement.

I have the iphone 4s through Sprint. Sometimes when I make outgoing calls, I can't even hear the phone ring or the person on the other line, but it does connect and they can hear me. It doesn't happen all of the time, but more frequently then not.

Basically during a call, no body can hear me but i can hear them. However i can still record on voice memo and on video. I am on a phone 4 on the 5.1.1 software on Tesco Mobile UK.

My phone called someone in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. It has made a few other calls during the day without a requests from me. In addition if it hears music it starts sending a 3 bell ring and on screen asks if I will not speak more clearly. At times it talks and says "Speak more clearly." The screen sometimes shows a cloud when interrupting and other times a mic. I think this may be due to a malfunctioning google assist. I think it thinks music is my voice. Sometimes I am taking pictures with it and it hears music causing it to change from the camera mode to ring 3 tones and say speak more clearly. The calling and interruptions are nuisances.
