When I make a call on my iPhone 4 I can't hear the person I'm calling and they can't hear me and there's no static or sound at all. The phone call will connect and the other person will see that they're recieving a call from me. Another common occurance is that then I make a call the speaker phone button will be lit up when I haven't pressed it and it isn't on. Turning that off and on doesn't solve the problem and there isn't any water damage. I reset the phone and got a new sim card and that hasn't solved the situation. Multiple technicians have opened the phone and can't solve the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got the X10 mini and made my first call out yesterday which started well but after about 6mins I could not hear the person on the other end of the phone but they could hear me. I tried calling out again this morning and the same thing happened. The only way I can hear the other person is to have the phone on loud speaker. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong as it is driving me mad?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought my xperia x8 last October and havn't used it that much. Just lately when I make a call or receive one, I cannot hear the person on the other end. They can hear me just fine. I can hear my music, ringtones etc. Anything to try before I seek out an repairer. I already tried restarting and resetting to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen making/receiving calls i cant hear the other person at all- no sound. I'm able to hear on loudspeaker but obviously this isn't ideal. Nothing has happened to the phone at all, no drops or water damage and it is only about 5/6weeks old.any suggestions please?
View 5 Replies View RelatedA few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4. On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence. I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a Skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above. This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware. The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNever had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
it is calling numbers to cities where i know no one. I had viper on the phone and since deleted it along with whatsapp and then put a passcode on the phone. what else do i need to do?

When making or receiving a call, the caller or the person I am calling cannot hear me. If I turn on speaker, they can hear me. This is a new iPhone 4, I traded in my 1 year old iPhone 4, because it also was having this issue, & the apple store staff could not fix it.
I have tried turning on/off, plugging in ear buds and unplugging them, cause I heard that could help, & syncing the phone. Nothing has worked yet that I have tried.

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.1 with AT&T: When I place an outgoing call, there is no ringing tone on my end. I can hear the person when they answer, and they can hear me. This is happening with all numbers, not just specific ones (both cell and land lines). I've tried switching to speaker phone, which makes no difference. I've checked my bluetooth setting, and am not connected to another source. I'm not in airplane mode, or Do Not Disturb. My operating system is up to date.
