Nokia :: X6-00 - Stop Recieving And Making Calls - All Calls Get Diverted To Answer Phone
Jul 16, 2010Never had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.

Mar 19, 2012I was trying to update my phone to 5.1, and about 10 minutes in, the update stopped making any progress. I waited 20, maybe 30 more minutes, and then I tried resetting my phone. ITunes then said my phone was in recovery mode, so I needed to restore settings. Now it's stuck again, with less progress shown. What might be wrong?

Jun 28, 20123 days ago, my phone started freezing very often. I would hold the sleep and home button for 6 seconds to restart it. After a while, it started turning off and on by itself. Just last night it had this lit up black screen. It was totally upresponsive and my iPhone did not show up in iTunes. I let the batter run out and than I charged it. It was fine for a couple of hours and than it started turning of and on by itself. It worsened to the point where right away when my iPhone 4 turned on, it turned off. Now it has a blue screen. Pressing the home and sleep button doesn't hel. It doesn't show up in iTunes either. Should I wait for it to run out of battery like last time? What can I do in the future to prevent my phone from freezing and turning off. Will upgrading it to the newest operating system help?

May 20, 2012When I make a call on my iPhone 4 I can't hear the person I'm calling and they can't hear me and there's no static or sound at all. The phone call will connect and the other person will see that they're recieving a call from me. Another common occurance is that then I make a call the speaker phone button will be lit up when I haven't pressed it and it isn't on. Turning that off and on doesn't solve the problem and there isn't any water damage. I reset the phone and got a new sim card and that hasn't solved the situation. Multiple technicians have opened the phone and can't solve the problem.

This is happening with all numbers, not just specific ones (both cell and land lines). I've tried switching to speaker phone, which makes no difference. I've checked my bluetooth setting, and am not connected to another source. I'm not in airplane mode, or Do Not Disturb. My operating system is up to date.

Jun 27, 2014my IPhone 4S has been having many problems and issues. The wifi has been very weak and often drops out. Then the phone would freeze after trying to take one picture and I would do a reset and it would act fine for a day or two and then would freeze again. Recently the calls I make on it often fail and when they do go through it is awful cell reception where I can barely hear the other person and they cannot hear me and then the calls often drop out in the middle. I don't know what to do I have reset the phone multiple times. I have a Lifeproof case around it and it looks brand new and no wear or tear. Would it be worth waiting for the new IPhone or should I buy an older IPhone 5.

Jul 6, 2010We have two iPhone 3GSs in the household, my dads and my moms.I installed iOS4 on both. And both seem to freeze, lock up, drop calls, have occasional weird glitches far more frequently than they did on 3.1.2 (3.1.3 caused issues as well but not as frequently as on iOS4) Sometimes, the lock screen doesn't unlock and the my slide to unlock it isn't recognized (fixed by hard rebooting the phone).
One time the phone froze completely on the Contacts menu.I'm wondering if the proximity sensor might be glitching and causing some of these dropped calls as well.iOS4 is awesome, don't get me wrong. But my parent's getting glitches is annoying as hell. They were hesistant about going with a smartphone instead of a simple flip phone already, and this isn't helping. Is anyone else having these issues or similar ones?Did Apple screw the pooch when it comes to bug testing the new OS?I wish Apple would just let us go back to 3.1.2 on our iPhones. That worked flawlessly where as the subsequent versions all have serious issues.

Oct 29, 2011my bold 9780 on telus has been freezing, and shutting down and everytime it starts back up it does the same thing and shuts down, and sometimes it doesn't even restart, the red LED light blinks 5 times on the black screen. I seriously love this phone but i hate how much trouble its been giving me. And when it is on it either says sim card error, SOS or searching for networks randomly.
