I was trying to update my phone to 5.1, and about 10 minutes in, the update stopped making any progress. I waited 20, maybe 30 more minutes, and then I tried resetting my phone. ITunes then said my phone was in recovery mode, so I needed to restore settings. Now it's stuck again, with less progress shown. What might be wrong?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on product code 0599399, updated my Ovi suite to Nokia Suite 3.3.86 and started the process to download and update my N8 running on anna to belle. It finished downloading the large update file and went through the process of backing up my contents and after that I got an error message "Something went wrong" Next screen it tells me that "Your phone is restarting" (with a couple of warning messages) but I have been on this screen for at least 45 mins now without any progress. My phone is still behaving as per norm but I'm not sure about what to do next. It doesn't seem like it had started the process of updating my phone yet but I'm being given instructions not to touch the phone or even disconnect the cable.

so this morning i updated my iphone 4s to ios7.1.3 and halfway through the progress bar it got stuck. It has been stuck for about 4 hours now. I have been waiting and hoping the battery runs out, but it hasn't and it's still stuck with the apple logo on top and 35% filled progress bar below the logo. What do i do? And i have tried holding the sleep button and home button together too. My sleep button is not exactly working.

I have a curve 8900 on orange, the problem is; When i turn on the BB, it gets past the initial red light stage and when the OS actually goes to load, it will load to 3/4 of the way along the progress bar and just stop, constant reboots and battery pulls it will stil load to 3/4's and stop. I have tried using the application loader from command prompt as described in some threads on here and using the JLCmder, using the plug in and press next when the red light comes on, this process works untill the aplication loader tells the device to reboot and it loads again, cos it gets stuck 3/4's of the way, the application loader cannot continue and finish, it just sits there constantly trying to connect to the phone.

This morning I stared the 7.1.2 update on my iPhone 5 (fully 100% battery charged and connected to power supply). Now I see for some hours just the Apple logo and about 60% progress status. I cannot do anything anymore (shutdown or reset not possible).Â
UPDATE: could reset the iPhone and looks like it works, still don't know what happened during update and if everything is installed correctly. But for now looks like working ok.
After upgrading ios 5.1. I cannot update apps on iphone so I tried to solve this problem.... rebooting, all resetting, all network resetting etc. But I cannot handle this. When apps are being updated I can see waiting under icon but does not progress any more. Also I cannot delete apps waiting under icon on iphone and itunes. x mark does not appear on these apps but I can see x mark on other apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNever had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
My Torch keeps freezing up and gets stuck on vibrate and won't stop, then constantly reboots by it's self, recently did a security wipe and cleared everything, updated software twice, and problems still persist. Switched out battery with my husbands torch and problems persist. Have no retailer in my area to help, need advice...I bought torch second hand so I think It's down to what the manufacturer can do or im stuck with a bad phone....

But when I do, I have to use it non stop doing whatever for about 3 hours or so, not being able to leave it alone because if I do, even for a minute it will freeze all over again and the process will start over.But also, sometimes when I reboot it, it doesn't being to reboot. It just stays with the screen shut off and eventually the little red light would turn on and off but nothing else will happen. I made a software/firmware update for my Nokia N97 last night thru the Nokia Ovi Suit update but for some reason my phone that was region and operator free now it has a Vodafone operator logo when starting up the phone and it has some Vodafone menu elements on it and i cannot understand for what reason the official Nokia firmware which should be operator free contains these elements But however my biggest problem is that i cannot use my phone to make or receive anykind of calls only messaging works.

(if you set a jailbreak up for a friend who might not be wise to JB's worth doing this to them) Download FWChanger from Cydia and set custom firmware, then reboot. I set mine to 3.1.3 and i used build 7E18.
For those who dont know what this prog does, basically it just changes the number of your firmware, and nothing else (as far as i know), so itunes picks it up as your running latest firmware (when really you are not). Now itunes says my software is up to date.
