Xperia Z5 :: Echo Heard On Other End When Making / Receiving Calls
Nov 4, 2015I have a brand new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, when I make/receive calls, the person at the other end has an echo from my phone. THIS is not the case using a bluetooth device to make the calls with. What to do ?

IPhone :: Cannot Hear Or Be Heard When Making Call
May 30, 2012A few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4. On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence. I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a Skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above. This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware. The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference.

My Z3 also suffered from the same problem, I was about to send it off for repair but smashed the screen so decided to upgrade early, now the Z5 is doing the same thing. I don't have a micro sd card in it and I have just replaced the sim with a new one but it still happens. But only intermittently when either making or receiving calls. This didn't happen before. This isn't a major problem but now I have to switch to the ear speaker during every phone call. (By the way, the loudspeaker volume is superb!)Is there a way to set the ear speaker to default for phone calls?

May 25, 2012I have a Droid Razr paired with a Blue Parrot BTX-250. Most of the time(not all), when either making or receiving a call, the phone is broadcasting static to the speaker circuit of the BT. People can still hear and understand me. The static lasts for anywhere from 1/2 second to 5 seconds then goes away. It is only doing this during calls. I can use the voice command to initiate a call and the phone understands me and I can understand it, then when the Razor connects the phone circuit to the BT it will give the static(most of the time). Went to a Verizon store and tech guy verified all this. BT is two months old and worked fine with last phone last week. We are fairly certain it is a software issue with Droid.

Mar 14, 2010The main reason i bought the phone.Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short.It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)!If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever
