Samsung Galaxy S II :: How To Make Sms Advises Ring/sound Louder
Oct 9, 2011
I am relatively new with my Galaxy SII, and noticed that when I receive either a sms or notification, the phone sounds too low. I can't even noticed it has vibrated (since it vibrates only once, comparing with a phone call). I have some programs like skype and viber which also can't listend if someone calls me.
how to make better volume for this type of operations??
I see there are a dozen or so Text Alert Tone options on the S2, but none of them are very loud at full volume. My old Nokia used to make a really loud "dong-dong" whenever a Text arrived, but I'm finding it easy to miss Text arrivals on the S2.
Any way to make the in call volume louder permanently? Mine is very low even with the volume all the way up and there doesn't seem to be a difference when i hit the extra volume command.
as the title says, when someone phones me they hear music instead of the standard "ring ring" that you would expect to hear. It starts of with someone saying "to download ringtone" then just plays annoying music. I've tried a hard reset but it's still there!
I have a S5 on TMOBILE. Lately every time I try to make a call it hangs up before the first ring. Then today I was on a call over Bluetooth in my car and it cut out (other person could hear me, I couldn't hear then them) but was not in a dead zone. I've done a sift reset and completely wiped the phone as well. No change.
I finally got round to rooting my phone last night to hopefully get rid of my "MAPServicesamsung has unfortunately stopped" problem that I and a few others have had since going from GB to ICS. Downloaded insecure kernal CF-Root-SGS2_XW_ODD_KE8-v4.0-CWM4.tar and phone got suck on yellow triange during reboot so turned off and wouldn't turn on again, just the battery indicator showing as the USB was still plugged in. Saw others have had the same problem and the way to overcome it was to load CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.tar and sure enough this worked (still had yellow triangle to start with) and then rooted with S2Root_1.5.1_Release (1). Now my wi-fi will not connect. It recognises it but keeps scrolling between authenticating, Obtaining IP address and Saved, secured with WPA2 and sometimes Avoided poor internet connection (even though signal is showing as excellent). I've done allsorts since; deleted it and scanned back in, changed from DHCP to static and back, rebooted the router, taken the battery out.
Is there a way to have the phone ring and have all other notifications either silent or vibrating? I use my cell as my primary phone and it would be nice while I sleep to hear the phone ring and not hear all the other sounds the phone makes for notifications and stuff like that.
I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.
I only received my Galaxy S2 today so am very new to this, I want to have my own ringtone instead of the ones already set up on phone, on previous phones I've just been able to assign any of my music to ring tone but I cannot seem to that with this
I just came from an Archos 5 Internet Tablet, which means that I'm pretty savvy with android, but several things are different (e.g. orientation, manufacturer's modifications). So, I have a few queries, the most important is about backgrounds.I am a keen photographer, and I was wondering what is the best way to crop a background on photoshop, so that it slides right into the homescreen with no trouble.I am guessing for the background, it would be 800px high, or perhaps less, depending on whether it is overlapped by the status bar or whether it begins underneath. If I wanted a non-moving background I would guess I'd want 480px across, but what about if I want a moving one?
I just notice it today when I'm switching between app. At the same volume Google play music sound louder than the HTC music player without losing sound quality.
I have a Bulgarian SIM card (with roaming activated) and everything worked fine in Bulgaria. However, I went to Denmark. I switched the airplane mode on in the plane and when I turned that mode offf, I got the message 'emergency calls only', which prevents me from making any calls. I bought a Danish SIM card but I got the same message. I have another phone with me (some old Alcatel) and both SIM cards work pretty fine there.
Does anyone know if Samsung plan to make a proper dock for the SGSII? I like the idea of just having a dock on the side so when I come home I can just sit it in there and it will be connected to my TV/AV system and charging. I know the MHL link will allow this but don't like having cables all over the place!!!
Just wondering if anyone else is having any problems with echo problems when maing a call. When I make a call i can hear myself a second after I speak. Does anyone know why this happens and is their anything I can do to stop it.
Is it only possible to use one sound for all notifications? I thought I'd be able to set different sounds for email, text, calendar. I also use BT Fon app for wifi and this uses the same as all the rest.
I've set tone for email in email settings but now that gets played as well as the tone that's set for notifications in settings>sound>notification ringtone, when I only need one alert.
Every time I try to download an app the phone says not enough storage available, but all the storage in the sd card is available. I need to make he ad card the main storage...
I have a problem with my new SGS2 and could not find anywhere a solution for this. When I record a video there is no sound recorded also, only the image... In the camera application there is no option for enable/disable this feature like in the SGS1.
