Jun 19, 2012I have an iPhone 4 (I think). It is a model MC319LL operating software version 5.1.1. Is it possible to send a text using voice control on this version of the iPhone? Does this require an app from an outside vendo? If so, what are the better apps for this purpose for someone with a deep voice? Voice recognition doesn't seem to work well for me no matter how well I enunciate. I'm guessing my deep voice is the downfall. I say "customer service please" and voice recognition just hears "grooowl." To those with the obvious answer...I'm not yet ready to move on to an iPhone 4S. I'm hoping to hold out for the next model release before I upgrade.

May 9, 2012I wanted to know, why is the ringtones audio way louder than the actual song playing on my iphone music section? For example, If I have "Audio1.mp3" playing on my iphone at full volume on the speaker, no headphones, it's pretty low, howeaver, when I play that same song "Audio1.mp3" as my ringtone, same source, same audio file, only cut to 30 seconds, it's way louder than the actual song playing on my phone's music library?

Jun 24, 2010I tried to make a call while wi-fi was on and connected, it wouldn't go through. likewise, when someone tried to call me when wi-fi was on, they went straight to voicemail. i tested it when i got home and same thing...wi-fi on, no voice. wi-fi off, voice calls work just fine.the only think i can think of is that i have skype installed but not logged in yet, so maybe it's trying to make calls that way? i'm going to be kinda bummed if i have to turn off wi-fi to use the phone.

Let's say I have my ringer set to 5/10 (in terms of loudness) and I recently watched a video at 9/10 loudness.Â
It seems that no matter what I set my ringer to with the volume buttons, the notifications are using that 9/10 volume level instead of the ringer volume level.Â
I've turned the phone off and back on but that doesn't fix the problem. Not sure how to replicate this problem, as not always does it present itself.Â
One obvious workaround would be to watch a video (or perhaps play music) and lower that volume level, but that's just ghetto for such an expensive device that's supposed to just work.

Jan 21, 2015I have an LG G3 and I was having some issues with the audio jack on it. I contacted LG and they said that since it is still under warranty I can mail it out to them, but my phone will be away for at least a week. I get called frequently from my work and thought if I set up Google Voice on it perhaps I would be able to at least receive messages on our Samsung Tab S 10.5. I went to Google Voice and set it up using my existing number with the Google Voice on Sprint.
It went through no problem, I was able to verify the phone and everything. Thing is, my fiance and I share the same tablet and when I looked at the call forwarding email, I realized it was to my fiance's email and not to me. I had accidentally signed up for Google Voice for my phone under his email account. So I went to disable Google Voice on Sprint after waiting 15 minutes or so for all the services to fully implement and tried to set it up under my email. I got to the verifying the phone number part, hit call me now, and nothing would go through. I tried several times and still nothing. I tried making a call from my phone and it says "we could not complete your call, please try again".
I called Sprint and explained everything to them. We went through several steps of resetting and reactivating the phone and still nothing. Whenever somebody tries to call me they get the same message "we could not complete your call, please try again." It shows that I'm connected to the network service no problem on Sprint's end and that something with Google Voice is locking me out. What am I supposed to do? I've gone through both my fiance's and my account and removed all traces of my phone number, hoping that I would be able to reset it but still nothing.
Both accounts for Google Voice say that we need to get a Google number and that there is no number associated with either accounts. I really don't know what to do as my phone is doing the lights on nobody home sort of thing. I can still use the internet with wifi no problem and can even use the mobile data to do searches on the Internet, I just can't make or receive calls or messages.
