When I'm in a call, I can't hear nothing! I don't know what to do?
View 7 Replies View RelatedBasically during a call, no body can hear me but i can hear them. However i can still record on voice memo and on video. I am on a phone 4 on the 5.1.1 software on Tesco Mobile UK.

The issue started about a month ago and gradually occured more often, and now it's basically happening every time I place or take a call: I can hear the person at the end of the line, but they can't hear me when I talk. Also, perhaps that's not related, whenever I plug it in my dock to listen to music, there's no sound coming out - I tested the dock with an older iPod I have lying around and it worked just fine. I first thought it was some interference issue and tested from various places, to no avail. It's basically useless as a phone.. Since it's out of warranty (it's a little over 2 years old), I wonder whether I can even get it fixed without paying about the same amount of money I would need to shell for an iPhone 4.

I have a Z5 Dual. Others have mentioned to me that they have a hard time understanding me when I'm on the phone with them, so I did some tests. The thing is, if I hold the phone as close to my face as possible, the audio quality on the receiving side is okay. However, if the phone is away from my cheek even just a centimeter or so, audio degrades very quickly. The impression is that the sound gets quieter, as well as cutting out occasionally. I know what this kind of thing sounds like and I'm pretty sure this is some kind of suppression mechanism running wild. I searched, and for lots of previous Xperia Z... models there are recommendations on these same forums to switch off the call option for noise suppression, but the Z5 doesn't have that option anymore.
What can I do? For the time being, I have that workaround of pressing the phone to my face as best I can, but this is not comfortable, especially since I also have a beard. I can't quite believe that the noise suppression mechanism should really overreact like this... any way of configuring this at all?
So lately I've noticed that some of the phone calls I make now have either choppy reception or the person on the other end can't hear me at all, no matter how much I yell into the mic. Its not the mute button, and I've had the problem happen to me a handful of times on completely random occassions. Sometimes I get good call quality, other times the person on the other end can't hear a single word I've said.
I've also noticed another oddity on my phone. Sometimes if a contact calls me, it shows up as a Blocked Call. This has happened when my family has tried to call or friends. Its also a problem that is completely random on my phone.
Anyone know anything that could help me out here? I'm not sure if the issues are related to me once dropping my phone. It has a small little scuff on the right top corner as a small little battle scar, and I'm not sure if that caused something to go wonky inside the phone itself, and if that totally voids my ability to get a replacement phone or not.

I have a blackberry 9800. My problem is that I can't hear the phone ringing when I'm trying to call someone or during the call, unless it's on loudspeaker. It doesn't work with head phones either. However, if I call on loudspeaker, it works just fine and I can also play music outloud and using headphones

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my xperia x10 for just under a week and whenever I make a call the receiver complains of a spitting noise in the background it is intermittent but nevertheless everyone I call complains about it. I do not hear it myself and have upgraded the software. Do I just have a faulty phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just buy the chrome Z5P. It is a pretty good phone. 4K mon, good design.
However, the music performance is worse than Z3. The background noise is too obvious.
Just noticed that whenever the phone wants to make a tone through the speaker, it will have a lot of background noise along with that sound. That background noise will prolong for a few second after finishing the tone it's supposed to make, then goes back to being silent.
For example, if I start typing on my keyboard, the phone obviously will play the key sound. The background noise will start but then will go back silent a few second after I finish typing.
I do not hear a dial tone and not hear the voice of the person I'm talking about.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHave been using my lumia 900 for a month. I noticed that there is a white/hissing noise in the background from the phone when listening to music using headphones. It starts right before the music starts to play and stops some seconds after pausing music. There is also a click sound in between songs. I can definitely confirm this is not from music files. If I plug headphones in and unlock the phone when not playing any music, I can hear the white background noise for a few seconds before it goes off. I've seen several posts reporting on the same issue from both lumia 800 and 900 (search white noise in the forum). It is very annoying! In addition, the volume buttons on my lumia 900 don't always work when screen is off, which has also been seen by many users. I'd say listening to music from headphones using lumia 900 is a bad experience due to these issues. I like lumia's design and overall it is a great phone. But these bugs disappoint me a lot.

I've tried everything I can think of like updating it and I've even taken it into a telstra shop and replaced the sim but I still have the same problem.
