When I answer it says it's on speaker but I can't hear a thing and the people on the other end can't hear me either. I can still text and everything but just not call. I've tried everything I can think of like updating it and I've even taken it into a telstra shop and replaced the sim but I still have the same problem.
I'm not sure why this is and i have tried pretty much everything. people can only hear me when i have my phone on speaker phone.. i cant afford a new iphone since they are like $600 without an upgrade.
Basically during a call, no body can hear me but i can hear them. However i can still record on voice memo and on video. I am on a phone 4 on the 5.1.1 software on Tesco Mobile UK.
I'm reporting an issue related to "phone call" that seems to be common with Iphone 4, but I can not find the proper fix.First of all My mobile is an Iphone 4 out of warranty, and thus no chance to get any replacement from apple.Few weeks ago the phone just falls and then my problems during phone call starts:
During calls or right at the start of a call peolpe can not hear me. If I just tap at the rear of the phone or just push hard on the back of the phone, it comes back. But this is a pain as few seconds after people can hear me again...then tap on the phone...this back...and again and again.. I've tried all these fixes found on forum, but it does not solve the problem.
My iphone 4 has developed a strange problem, intermitently people cant hear me talking unless i give the iphone a gentle tap on the back then it start working again for antyhing from a few seconds to the rest of the call, its updated to latest 5.1.1 before anyone asks
The issue started about a month ago and gradually occured more often, and now it's basically happening every time I place or take a call: I can hear the person at the end of the line, but they can't hear me when I talk. Also, perhaps that's not related, whenever I plug it in my dock to listen to music, there's no sound coming out - I tested the dock with an older iPod I have lying around and it worked just fine. I first thought it was some interference issue and tested from various places, to no avail. It's basically useless as a phone.. Since it's out of warranty (it's a little over 2 years old), I wonder whether I can even get it fixed without paying about the same amount of money I would need to shell for an iPhone 4.
So lately I've noticed that some of the phone calls I make now have either choppy reception or the person on the other end can't hear me at all, no matter how much I yell into the mic. Its not the mute button, and I've had the problem happen to me a handful of times on completely random occassions. Sometimes I get good call quality, other times the person on the other end can't hear a single word I've said.
I've also noticed another oddity on my phone. Sometimes if a contact calls me, it shows up as a Blocked Call. This has happened when my family has tried to call or friends. Its also a problem that is completely random on my phone.
Anyone know anything that could help me out here? I'm not sure if the issues are related to me once dropping my phone. It has a small little scuff on the right top corner as a small little battle scar, and I'm not sure if that caused something to go wonky inside the phone itself, and if that totally voids my ability to get a replacement phone or not.
im scared that my phone may be broke. its like when i answer a call the person on the other line cannot hear me unless i connect my headphones or put the call on speaker phone.
When I am calling people, the phone call often drops out.
By that I mean I am talking to the person I called, but intermittently they cannot hear me and I have to stop the call. I thought it was my Bluetooth in my car with the problem but it has now happened when I have made a call using the iPhone handset itself.
This has only started happening after IOS update 5.1.1 last week.
When I answer or make a call, the other caller can not hear me speaking. I can hear them just fine. All other functions of my phone work normally as far as I can.
I have had my iPhone 4s for less than a week and when I call people/they call me/I listen to voicemails, I can barely hear the other person - they sound very distant or muffled, no matter how much I turn up the volume.
If I have the phone on speaker or listen with headphones, I can hear them perfectly fine.
for some reason i cannot hear the people i make calls too, i had my headphones in and removed them during a call and now i cannot hear the people i call. Ive tried resetting things and turning up the volume, but i still cant hear.
When I make a call, people can't hear me, or just barely if I speak very loudly. I can hear them perfectly. I have three bars or better. Did I reset some voice volume or something?
On my lg g3 When I call people with my head phones in the other person can't hear me until I take them out.it worked on my previous lg phone and they're both running kit kat.my headphones work fine and they'res no mic on it.does my phone think there is?
I have a Nokai 701 , belle FP1 and the latest update. my phone has this weird problem , where in SOME of the calls i recieve , the person on the other side cannot here me, they say , i appear to be far off , and very very light voice of mine is hearable.I have to , i that case , qickly rush to get Headphones , as on using them for the same call , people say that they can hear me quite clearly. This is a very big hassle.& this problem has happened with the other side having different phones and different connections
I have a Z5 Dual. Others have mentioned to me that they have a hard time understanding me when I'm on the phone with them, so I did some tests. The thing is, if I hold the phone as close to my face as possible, the audio quality on the receiving side is okay. However, if the phone is away from my cheek even just a centimeter or so, audio degrades very quickly. The impression is that the sound gets quieter, as well as cutting out occasionally. I know what this kind of thing sounds like and I'm pretty sure this is some kind of suppression mechanism running wild. I searched, and for lots of previous Xperia Z... models there are recommendations on these same forums to switch off the call option for noise suppression, but the Z5 doesn't have that option anymore.
What can I do? For the time being, I have that workaround of pressing the phone to my face as best I can, but this is not comfortable, especially since I also have a beard. I can't quite believe that the noise suppression mechanism should really overreact like this... any way of configuring this at all?
Basically I brought the phone the other the day and tried calling someone but when I ring I can hear them but they can't hear me! Not sure if its a fault with the phone or settings?
I have a blackberry 9800. My problem is that I can't hear the phone ringing when I'm trying to call someone or during the call, unless it's on loudspeaker. It doesn't work with head phones either. However, if I call on loudspeaker, it works just fine and I can also play music outloud and using headphones
When i make calls i can't hear people but i can be heard. Not a hardware issue as the speakers work fine. When i switch the phone on it says talk.sony ericson has stopped working and i have to force close.
