hithe alarm on my Bold 9790 does not ring, its as if the alarm is set "off".Have tried removing the battery to reset. When i do that, the alarm works ok for a few hours, then next morning the alarm does not work. The phone is running OS 7.0.0 bundle 2254, and I have a BES subscription.Any ideas what to do?
View 2 RepliesIf I set the alrm to work on weekdays or just on it will work once after battery been taken out and replaced. It doesn't work again until I repeat actions with the battery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge.I've missed my alarm the last two mornings and I now realise why > the vibration wasn't working. I have it set to Vibrate only (no Sound) as I don't want to wake my baby as well.
Tests today also showed that when I put it in Silent/Vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate when receiving calls either.However when I select Silent/Vibrate mode it does the little vibrate feedback so its not like the vibrate feature doesn't work at all.
Occassionally, when my alarm goes off in the morning, it won't ring. It will just vibrate. I have no clue why this is happening. I thought I had it figured out but it happened again today. I think it has something to do with smart actions (even though I don't have a smart action for alarm).
My alarm goes off vibrate only, no sound and a box is on the screen saying the alarm clock needs force closed. Then my phone freezes up and I have to turn it off via power and volume key. I'm using the stock alarm clock too.
Anyone else have issues with stock alarm after the update? My alarm only vibrates now and doesn't ring. Really don't want to download a third party app for an alarm as they tend to eat battery life.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently baught the n97 mini, and I can't figure out how to put my personal sound file as a ring for the alarmclock. Does it mean it is not possible and I have to wake up with the tones that already were saved on the mobile?
I already have my musique saved, and I was able to choose my ring tone among my files so I think I'm missing something regarding the alarm.
I use the alarm clock function on my BB 9550 and have been noticing the alarm does not ring if the screen is locked (i.e., using the power button function on the top of the device). Specifically, there is still an alarm notification on the screen (to dismiss or snooze), but there is no sound. That's a problem. Seems to work fine if the screen is unlocked.
This just became a problem with the upgrade to O/S version 5.0.0.607. Before that I noticed that the alarm would only be a low hum if the screen was locked, but now there is nothing at all!
One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have issues using their Bold 9790 outside, in the open air, when there is a breeze/wind blowing? Or even in the car if the air vents are blowing, even slightly? Whenever I am outside, even if there is hardly any wind, I am unable to send any kind of messages or scroll through menus, as the 'cursor' keeps going back up to the very top of the phone. So if I am trying to send a message, it scrolls right back to the oldest message. I have gone into the settings and made the sensitivity as low as it will go, but it makes no difference.

Other that that, i can't go anywhere in the house, its just SOS. I bought the phone with WIND Mobile. Thinking it was WIND that had the problem, i unlocked the phone to try it with Fido. It's confirmed that it is NOT the wireless carrier that has the problem, its the actual phone itself.
I don't want to believe that I spent $400 to buy the phone and its nothing but an expensive paper weight.

After I did this I started to have this issue where it would start to reboot on its own, sometimes once a day, sometimes 5 or 6 times in a row and it would drain the battery. Also I noticed the battery level on the screen isn't reflective of what the battery level actually is, it would go from full to red in seconds. its really drive me crazy.
I would do a battery pull and it would be back to 80 or 85 percent. I bought a new genuine blackberry battery to see if that was the issue but still same problems. I wiped the device and re-installed the original os from desktop manager twice and the problem is still there, very frustrating, any one have the same issue and managed to fix it?
Three weeks ago I got my BB 9790 and I am very happy! Only thing is, it keeps rebooting (about 3 times a week) . I have changed phones 3 times now (within 8 days I get a new phone) but I have the same problem each time. Probably a software thing? Are there any others that have the same problem and maybe a solution?

how to fix the jvm 545 error. I tried to use the desktop manager to update the OS or reinstall, however, it does not give the option to reload the OS. The message only says: no update available and option to subscribe to new OS release.

When I try to connect from my 9000 (as I don't have a choice) I get prompted on the 9790, but when I accept, I get a "connection to blackberry 9790 failed" on the 9000 screen.Weirder, if from the 9000 I try to transfer contacts, it tranfers only the fist contact from my list, even though I enabled the "all contacts" for both devices.
