Xperia Z5 :: Ring Volume Fully Down After Upgraded To 5.1.1
Jan 12, 2012
Upgraded software to 5.1.1 and since then the ring volume turns itself fully down and won't let me adjust. All other volumes are working fine. Will work for a little while after turning off and on again.
I turn ring volume to maximum but its volume still lower than 70% of my other phone LG. Is it software issue or hardware issue? Moreover, the increasing ringtone seems doesn't work, the volume was in the normal level since beginning.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.
i have updated my iphone 4s to ios 5.1 but after updating my phone ring volume is very low which make me to miss my calls everyday i m missing s many calls?
I have had the pearl for only 2 weeks. Everything was great. Somehow about 3 days ? button pushed and now it won't ring. It is set to normal. Plays a song (not loud) so speakers ok. have done all the basic trouble shooting so
Verizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile. This is a behavior I have spent about two hours trying to correct and have been unable to discern a viable solution anywhere. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone.
Is it possible that on the next firmware update, the volume control for the music and ring/message tone is separated?
Like when you're listening to music, when you press the volume rocker, it will set the volume just for the music and not the current volume setting of the message/ring tone?
I have been using motorola backflip for some time now. I recently noticed a new icon / symbol on the top of the screen and I can't understand what it means. It is on top right half of line immediately on left side of "3G" and shaped like a "W" made up of dots with a phone resting on top. I can't remember seeing this before but I'm not so sure now. I did not download any applications at all and my phone seemed to work okay until now except the ring volume appeared to be non existant in the last call I received.
Okay folks the problem here is exactly what it sounds like: my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile. Again this is a problem for me at work, so I'd really appreciate any guidance, it has been very difficult to find.
I'm still new to Samsung and it's on Cricket. Anyway I've finely figured out how to get into the file system with QPST. BitPim wasn't working for me. What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. I know with my last phone (UTStarcom / AudioVox) you could edit some files and get rid of some default sound efx and other stuff. I have the R560
I make a phone call for over a minute and my phone turns off. I use the camera and the phone turns off. I have fully charged my phone and it still turns off. What is going on?
ok, so a couple of weeks back, my xperia x10 mini pro started to mess up, the screen would suddenly become offset. then it started to not unlock, i hed to press the power button a couple of times or slide the keyboard out to unlock it. it got worse and worse until then it wouldnt unlock at all. so then i tried to take the battery out and plug it back in, but still wouldnt work. now ive been on the internet for a good 5 hours trying to get a solution, but to no avail, so heres my current situation.
When pressing the power button to turn on, the phone vibrates, the phone lights up, but then just goes dark. sometimes while it is dark and pressing the power button it will vibrate again, but nothing happens. I have tried taking the sim and sd card out, nothing changes. I cannot force it to update as when holding the back button and plugging in the usb, it just tries to start as usual and the above happens. the same happens when i try to do a hard reset bu holding the menu button and turning on and holding the other two buttons while turning on. it did this to a lesser extent before, as it wiuld reach the sony ericson screen before turning off, but unlike last time, i cannot fix it.
Also, using the PC companion or update service will not work, it will not connect and when holding the back button while plugging in, it does its usuall little performance, jus trying to turn it on normally, only it just flashes a blue-ish screen over and over.
apart from taking it for repair where they will inevitably do f*** all, what can i do?
I just bought my Xperia Ray last weekend, so it has not been a week yet. I have no issues about its performance. This is my first Android phone, so I am wondering about this. How long should it take to fully charge my phone? When I connect it to its socket charger, it only takes an hour or so. Likewise, through my computer, it only takes an hour. Is that normal, or should I be worried about it?
