Upgraded software to 5.1.1 and since then the ring volume turns itself fully down and won't let me adjust. All other volumes are working fine. Will work for a little while after turning off and on again.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
How can I change my text volume without changing my ringer volume?

One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

Verizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.

I have been using motorola backflip for some time now. I recently noticed a new icon / symbol on the top of the screen and I can't understand what it means.It is on top right half of line immediately on left side of "3G" and shaped like a "W" made up of dots with a phone resting on top. I can't remember seeing this before but I'm not so sure now. I did not download any applications at all and my phone seemed to work okay until now except the ring volume appeared to be non existant in the last call I received.

What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. View 6 Replies View Relatedok, so a couple of weeks back, my xperia x10 mini pro started to mess up, the screen would suddenly become offset. then it started to not unlock, i hed to press the power button a couple of times or slide the keyboard out to unlock it. it got worse and worse until then it wouldnt unlock at all. so then i tried to take the battery out and plug it back in, but still wouldnt work. now ive been on the internet for a good 5 hours trying to get a solution, but to no avail, so heres my current situation.
When pressing the power button to turn on, the phone vibrates, the phone lights up, but then just goes dark. sometimes while it is dark and pressing the power button it will vibrate again, but nothing happens. I have tried taking the sim and sd card out, nothing changes. I cannot force it to update as when holding the back button and plugging in the usb, it just tries to start as usual and the above happens. the same happens when i try to do a hard reset bu holding the menu button and turning on and holding the other two buttons while turning on. it did this to a lesser extent before, as it wiuld reach the sony ericson screen before turning off, but unlike last time, i cannot fix it.
Also, using the PC companion or update service will not work, it will not connect and when holding the back button while plugging in, it does its usuall little performance, jus trying to turn it on normally, only it just flashes a blue-ish screen over and over.
apart from taking it for repair where they will inevitably do f*** all, what can i do?
I just bought my Xperia Ray last weekend, so it has not been a week yet. I have no issues about its performance. This is my first Android phone, so I am wondering about this. How long should it take to fully charge my phone? When I connect it to its socket charger, it only takes an hour or so. Likewise, through my computer, it only takes an hour. Is that normal, or should I be worried about it?
