Aug 4, 2010So, for the first time since I got it, I tried setting some new wallpapers, see if maybe there's something that'd look nice. But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

Jan 27, 2015Whenever I set a wallpaper on my Moto X while using Nova the buttons are in a black bar and it looks like they aren't "on screen." But setting a wallpaper while on the Google Now launcher resolves this problem. It's kind of annoying to have to switch launchers just to change a wallpaper.

Dec 5, 2011I took a cute pic of my dog with my phone. I wanted to set it as the wallpaper. I went to the gallery, chose the pic and then set as wallpaper. This lovely orange box pops up to select an area of the pic, but I am unable to resize the box to encompass the majority of the pic. I can get it to resize to approx. the size of a postage stamp, but nothing any larger than that.
I did try to edit the size of the pic and start over, and have tried several different sizes, but they all have pretty much the same result.

Jul 20, 2011I have taken pictures with my new Wildfire and I want to set one of them as my phone's wallpaper. However, my phone won't let me set my photos as wallpaper unless I severely crop them. I want to use a whole picture as my wallpaper, not just a small portion of it. Can anyone tell me how to set my whole photo as the wallpaper, please? I don't understand how my phone won't let me set a picture that I took with my phone's camera as its wallpaper without cropping it. It is the same with pictures I downloaded. I'm only able to use full pictures if they were already installed in the phone when I bought it.

Jul 18, 2012I've just bought my RAZR and I'm struggling to set the wallpaper I want. To start with, I'm a bit disappointed that I can't have a separate lock-screen wallpaper, but that's not the end of the world.
On previous Android devices I've always been able to choose a picture then when setting it as a wallpaper, there has always been the option to crop it to the size / area you want. I can't work out how to do this, is it possible?
The built-in picture viewer doesn't seem to allow any rotation / zooming and then saving either. The pre-loaded "My Gallery" app doesn't find all the pictures on my device either. Again, on previous devices all images from all storage areas have automatically appeared in the gallery.
I also can't find the directory where the wallpapers are stored

May 29, 2012Yesterday when I replace my live wallpaper with a static preinstalled wallpaper that definitely came from sony. My phone hangs then the wallpaper shows only black. Then my touchscreen didn't work. So I decided to soft reset my phone, but no use. I can't even unlock my phone because my touchscreen was unresponsive. I tried to hard reset it but I also can't even hard reset it. The notification bar is working properly but I can't pull it down to update my version because I saw in sony website that I have to update it.. Jul 8, 2011I just got an Xperia Play and its great, but I'm having a few problems. First, whenever I set the wallpaper, it sticks for a few hours, then eventually just switches back to the default purple wave image. Is this a setting or a problem with my phone?
Also, I've been experiencing some issues when playing certain games (especially Asphalt 6). Some screen will not render correctly and just be splotches of random colors. Also, the game will just random close after it starts to slow down a bit.
