When I send a text from my 2720 fold it plays a ringtone that I have assigned to texts.I only want it to play that sound when I recieve a text not send one.How can I change the settings so that it is silent when I send a text but makes the noise when I receive one.
I have a capital E in the middle of the top row of my 2720. I checked the user guide and couldn't see any explanation.I am on the 2Degrees network in New Zealand.
I bought a Nokia 2720 fold. This phone has two displays. One inside, you see it when your fold the phone out. And on on the front. You see it when the phone is closed. My question: How do I keep the front display allways on. I want to see the time immediatelly, when I look on the folded phone. At the moment the light fades out after 10 sec.
I got problems for connecting with my nokia 2720 via bluetooth.Problem appears trying to transferring photos to a pc or o another mobile and while trying to connect to internet.Any one has the same issue?
Just bought a 2720 and have not found how to assign a seperate ring tone to a set contact number like I used to be able to do with my samsung, anyone know if this can be done on the nokia or can only 1 ring tone be used.
It probably should be obvious, but I am puzzled how to copy the contacts list on a 3100 to a 2720 fold. The only details that have transferred are those related to the provider which would have been on the SIM card.
i just bought a nokia 2720 fold. I have been downloading a few themes off the internet but everytime i apply them they don't seem to cover the full screen. By that i mean there is still a white band where the battery icon is. Even hen I set a wallpaper the white band is still there.
But when i use a profile that already exists in the phone it comes out in full screen and so does the wallpaper.
I found it cool, having the morse code S M S ( ... -- ... ) for incoming SMS instead of any music. So it was originaly when I bought the phone.Suddenly it disappeared. May be, some pal deleted it, when he watched my new phone. In "Signal tones" there are only "Alarm1.aac", "Calender alarm", "Clock alert", "Message1", "Message2" and "Message3" left. How can I get back that morse code?"Reset works settings" and looking in "Nokia.mobi" did not help.

I received my N86 via courier yesterday, and did the usual setup stuff that I was prompted to do. For some reason, my phone keeps on saying "sending text message" at random intervals. I check the outbox, and nothing is there! This has been ongoing since I turned it on.
I have tried a soft and hard reset, and I have just noticed that there is a firmware upgrade available. I am in the process of charging my battery.
I noticed that there have been randomly frequent times where I send a text message but the text is immediately deferred to send at a later time. ie set to send a few minutes later. I can go to the deferred folder and tell to send right away and that works.Anyone else notice this?

My 5800 randomly stopped sending text messages about 2 days ago. It has problems sending texts for a few hours before but would send them on the second or third try but now refuses to send no matter how many times I try. I'm able to do everything else (recieve and send calls, recieve texts and access the internet) I also put my sim card in my old phone and it can send texts so it must be my phone.
Just recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message. The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.
I've only had my phone for 5 months and I recently got a phone update. Ever since then, it keeps switching itself off, especially after I've sent a text.
After two or three charges my new (up to date) Lumia 900 stops sending/receiving text messages. The map app also appears black at every zoom level. However LTE signal is fine, I can receive phone calls, and use data to search for near-by restaraunts and overlay results over the black tileless map. There is no visible indication that the phone is no longer sending/receiving txt messages.. other than an angry girlfriend.Once in a while I open up the map app to see if its loading tiles. If not, I reboot the phone and everything returns to normal for a few days, and then problem comes back. It has been this way since I bought the phone three weeks ago.
I have just moved from LG touch (hated it) to a very basic Nokia 2220. Previously had Samsung before.
With the 2220, when I receive a text I have set the tone I want however I cannot find if this phone will allow the tone to sound after every two minutes. All my previous phones have had this facility which I like as if you don't hear the notification sound at first it alerts you every two minutes. Is it just this phone or are all Nokia's like this?
If I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
For the last couple of weeks my HTC one has had to be rebooted occasionally when I have tried to send a text message, I have noticed a pending icon next to the message when checking for a reply. As soon as I have rebooted the phone the message is sent.
If I select the share from a pic in my gallery it then asks me existing or new contact, I select the contact and done and it sends, I cant add a message, why? If I go to my messages and click the paperclip select the pic my only option is to send, still can't add a message.
I purchased an unlocked C3 from Amazon.com for a Christmas present and up until last week, had no problems with it. Then it stopped sending text messages. I called AT&T and they said they can't do anything since they didn't sell the phone to me.
on my screen next to the name of contact and the text, the symol is a red clock stating that my message hasn't been sent. I know my contacts aren't recieveing the messages and I have no clue how to get my phone to send my txt messages
My xperia x10 has started to send text messages that I didn't write to one of my contacts!!!! All the messages are the same "Ppppp" Yesterday they all had a scrolling circle beside them and message details said unable to send sender unknown.I deleted them but they kept coming back at least a dozen of them at at random times. Today they are being sent. By each message there is a envelope with a clock icon. This is happening while the phone is not being used by anyone and is sitting on a table, so its not as if it is being touched by anything in my handbag or pocket.I was using the Handcent App but it was also happening in the installed messaging software. I have uninstalled Handcent and am using the supplied messaging programme. Also getting a lot of force closing messages when I try to send a genuine text.
I successfully updated to the official Vodafone release using SEUS, loving the update so far but I've come across a problem with text messages.
Every couple of text messages they won't send and instead I get the message cannot be sent error. Trying repeated times has the same results then all of a sudden it will randomly work.
It can't be down to bad signal, last time the error came up I had full 'H' signal. I also tried Handcent to see if using an app would make any difference but it didnt. Are there any known bugs that sound like this
