I noticed that there have been randomly frequent times where I send a text message but the text is immediately deferred to send at a later time. ie set to send a few minutes later. I can go to the deferred folder and tell to send right away and that works.Anyone else notice this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought this 3/4 years ago and got it to send e mals wih some dificulty...at the last throw of the dice actually.Its a basicaly used as a document reader have made it very useful for .......sending documents and letters...which i find useful to do. Its served this purpose very well.I know from past experience it doesnt like being taken away from my router....I did this by mistake a week or ago and I wondered if this would throw the settings out. It didn't seem to...till yesterday.When I send now it just shows a constant "loading" strip but doesn't send.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia N8 (0598980 )which I recently updated to Symbian Belle - 11.030.0609.00.01 2011-11-26.Checking my recent bill from Vodafone (contract) I noticed that there were a lot of texts to a number I did not recognise that I was being charged for £0.20 + VAT a time.The number is 358504877172 and happened twice a day - around 12:00 noon and again about 23:30 - these tets happened all through March & into April.Anyone else seen this ?odafone insisted that someone was using my phone to send these messages - after lots of "discussions" they refunded them

View 4 Replies View RelatedI received my N86 via courier yesterday, and did the usual setup stuff that I was prompted to do. For some reason, my phone keeps on saying "sending text message" at random intervals. I check the outbox, and nothing is there! This has been ongoing since I turned it on.
I have tried a soft and hard reset, and I have just noticed that there is a firmware upgrade available. I am in the process of charging my battery.
My Lumina 900 is receiving text messages but is not sending text messages.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBrand new E7 with all updates done and running Belle. Phone works great with very little issues. Emails work fine. Calls and everything work fine. But sometimes SMS get stuck in outbox as deferred and does not send them even after the time to resend hits. This happens about 3 to 4 out of 10 messages. If it deferred and then actually sends the message when its suppose to, I wouldn't care so much. I've yet to have a deferred message sent yet I can click on it and press send and it goes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo my N79 is refusing to let me send text messages on the grounds that "Text Message: Not enough memory to perform operation. Please delete some data first". So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..
My 5800 randomly stopped sending text messages about 2 days ago. It has problems sending texts for a few hours before but would send them on the second or third try but now refuses to send no matter how many times I try. I'm able to do everything else (recieve and send calls, recieve texts and access the internet) I also put my sim card in my old phone and it can send texts so it must be my phone.

Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message.The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter two or three charges my new (up to date) Lumia 900 stops sending/receiving text messages. The map app also appears black at every zoom level. However LTE signal is fine, I can receive phone calls, and use data to search for near-by restaraunts and overlay results over the black tileless map.There is no visible indication that the phone is no longer sending/receiving txt messages.. other than an angry girlfriend.Once in a while I open up the map app to see if its loading tiles. If not, I reboot the phone and everything returns to normal for a few days, and then problem comes back. It has been this way since I bought the phone three weeks ago.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 4 day old N97 Mini stopped displaying new text message notifications on the screen and alerting me via a tone or vibration. Before posting I read this forum and other independent forums and did the following:
Checked firmware for phone - was up to date
Checked message tone was active in profiles - was active
Deleted all messages in inbox/drafts/sent - fixed issue had 41 messages total in these 3 folders.
I can't understand this error, I had an iPhone 3G before coming back to Nokia (N97 mini OS served a better purpose) I could store literally 100's of texts and never had a problem, If I can't have more than 40 texts in my folders without the alert turning itself off..Then the phone is useless.
There is only one Language/voice file available in my Nokia E7. I want to have a female voice and there is no download available for E7 (on download language and voide webpage).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have about 5500 messages on my N97 and want to transfer them to N8 but when it try the phone switch and transfer them with Bluetooth it literally takes for ever, last time I tried it transferred like 30 in 5 minutes, is there anyway I can make it go faster? Also tried to backup my messages on Ovi suit and PC suite, well on PC suit it gives me an error saying there is not enough memory(On the PC suite application on my computer) and it backs it up short, only 1000 I think and in OVI suit, I backed it up fine but when tried to restore, it did it and took some time but nothing happened, number of txt messages didn't change.

My text messages are set up to be saved to my sd card. In addition to this problem, I can't read my emails either, only the preview. I have done a hard reset, and the problem is still present.

Also is it possible to change the force of the vibrate as it seems quite weak compared to the n97?
I have always used predictive text.Using the Anna software if I wrote a word and it was wrong I could return and re-select the word. Then cycle the words using the *.Now using the Belle software, I cannot return to the word. The cursor just marches through the word letter by letter not selecting it.
