Nokia Nseries :: 808 Deferred Text Sending?
Jul 27, 2012I noticed that there have been randomly frequent times where I send a text message but the text is immediately deferred to send at a later time. ie set to send a few minutes later. I can go to the deferred folder and tell to send right away and that works.Anyone else notice this?

Jun 25, 2014My phone appears to be sending blank text messages to friends. I have no record of the 'sent' text on my phone. It has happened on more than one occasion. Rebooting does not seem to be a solution. The recipients also have an iPhone.

Apr 19, 2010I received my N86 via courier yesterday, and did the usual setup stuff that I was prompted to do. For some reason, my phone keeps on saying "sending text message" at random intervals. I check the outbox, and nothing is there! This has been ongoing since I turned it on.
I have tried a soft and hard reset, and I have just noticed that there is a firmware upgrade available. I am in the process of charging my battery.

Aug 24, 2015When sending an email, I constantly get the message "sending incomplete". I have to keep sending, until it eventually goes through. It happens no matter where I am, whether I'm on wifi or not. I've tried deleting my email and starting over but that hasn't worked at all. Gmail seems to work fine, it's my Outlook account, which I use most of the time.

It has problems sending texts for a few hours before but would send them on the second or third try but now refuses to send no matter how many times I try. I'm able to do everything else (recieve and send calls, recieve texts and access the internet) I also put my sim card in my old phone and it can send texts so it must be my phone.

Aug 8, 2010Just recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message.The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.

Tried an Android on ATT and it worked. My friend tried it from is WP on Verizon and he gets the same results. Tried to talk to VZW and "We'll look into this" and now its marked as resolved but the same issue exists.

Apr 14, 2011After two or three charges my new (up to date) Lumia 900 stops sending/receiving text messages. The map app also appears black at every zoom level. However LTE signal is fine, I can receive phone calls, and use data to search for near-by restaraunts and overlay results over the black tileless map.There is no visible indication that the phone is no longer sending/receiving txt messages.. other than an angry girlfriend.Once in a while I open up the map app to see if its loading tiles. If not, I reboot the phone and everything returns to normal for a few days, and then problem comes back. It has been this way since I bought the phone three weeks ago.

Jan 24, 2012So my N79 is refusing to let me send text messages on the grounds that "Text Message: Not enough memory to perform operation. Please delete some data first". So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..

Jun 11, 20121) When sending text messages the messages go through but some remain in the outbox. They are actually sent, and not waiting for resend. The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.

My text messages are set up to be saved to my sd card. In addition to this problem, I can't read my emails either, only the preview. I have done a hard reset, and the problem is still present.

Feb 9, 2012I am wondering if others are having the same issue. Sometimes when I receive a text message on my MA it is completely blank. They are even plain text messages. Let me explain. I have received text messages with special characters in the message and the MA displays a "?" where those characters are. When I receive a message that contains a picture those do not get sent to the MA (and I am more then okay with that). But for some reason when I get certain text messages the display shows up all white and I am unable to see anything when trying to open the message on the MA. I can't even delete it.

EDIT: I have upgraded to the latest version of the OS for the MA and now get some feedback saying that a message could not be synced but I still wonder why some are able to be synced while others cannot be.

Nov 9, 2012Anyone else out there own a 700? This thing is just a disaster! I've owned Nokia phones (an no other make) for over 10 years, but this is by far my most disappointing experience. I am at wits end and near the tipping point (of purchasing an iPhone 5).Nearly 1 in 5 times I use the darned thing it crashes. Also, my icons for search items are gone (except for restaurants). I restored the phone and now it won't download any maps! I used to have complete maps for the USA, Canada and Mexico, but now it will not even download the USA.I can not download the latest firmware (version of Symbian). My phone says it is up-to-date, but it is not. I do not have a PC so I can not use Nokia Suite (why? Nokia, get real and write a Mac version already).
When I reboot my phone it will not receive voice mail or text messages! I have to reboot it again.Why is this phone so buggy? I'm sending it in for warranty repair but I don't think I want this or any Nokia software phone. I think I'll try a Nokia Windows phone if Nokia will give me some credit for this phone and allow me to apply it towards the Windows versions. I mean seriously, Apple has their bomb proof software that works. If there is a bug, give them a week and there's an easily obtained update. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but I'm being driven away. Can someone help me make this right? I'm sure whatever Nokia tech looks at my phone will say it is fine, it's the software that is uncooperative.Anyone else with a 700?

All the messages are the same "Ppppp" Yesterday they all had a scrolling circle beside them and message details said unable to send sender unknown.I deleted them but they kept coming back at least a dozen of them at at random times. Today they are being sent. By each message there is a envelope with a clock icon. This is happening while the phone is not being used by anyone and is sitting on a table, so its not as if it is being touched by anything in my handbag or pocket.I was using the Handcent App but it was also happening in the installed messaging software. I have uninstalled Handcent and am using the supplied messaging programme. Also getting a lot of force closing messages when I try to send a genuine text.

Nov 10, 2010I successfully updated to the official Vodafone release using SEUS, loving the update so far but I've come across a problem with text messages.
Every couple of text messages they won't send and instead I get the message cannot be sent error. Trying repeated times has the same results then all of a sudden it will randomly work.
It can't be down to bad signal, last time the error came up I had full 'H' signal. I also tried Handcent to see if using an app would make any difference but it didnt. Are there any known bugs that sound like this
