Nokia :: 6650 - Resetting - Unlock Attempts Set To 0?

I've been trying to unlock my 6650 without success. So far I've tried 3 codes. Before I try any more, is there a way to rest the counter that counts the attempts back to zero? I don't want to hit the max # of attempts.
Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"
just to have it unlocked.

When ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.

I am having issue where phone will not come out of lock screen. Buttons light but screen stays black. I can reboot and use phone so I know it is not hardware. I can still blindly touch screen and maybe get past lock but stays black til I reboot.

How many unlock attempts you get on these phones? (As default - I'm sure you can customize the security settings but I haven't done this.) I've left my phone somewhere, won't be able to get it for a while, and would like some peace of mind that it locks out after a certain number of attempts!

Please i have bberry storm2 9550.I am overseas now.I took it to a lot of places for them to unlock it for me so that i could use it there and all the unlock code they produce was incorrect.I have all my 10 chances wasted and my phone is still not unlock.I need to use my phone very bad at where i am now and there is no way to get new phone here.can some please help me how i would be able to unlock my phone again?

I've been using a 6650 for more than a year without problems. I use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts & calendar with Address Book and i Cal on my Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX Leopard.This morning, I synced the phone and computer as I always do, but got an error message that "Device synchronization failed" without further explanation. When I tried syncing again, I got a warning message that "The phone could not store some of your calendar events. The following events will not be synchronized:..." Concurrently, the phone showed the error message "Application Closed: CalendarServerThread". After wards, the phone calendar just shows up as blank and won't respond to input (I can't change the date, although I can access the menu). The calendar works again once I delete all entries.
I've done a full reset of the phone, yet the problem is still happening. Can anyone help me?

when my phone rings and i dont answer it, it will show 1 missed call. when i click view, it does not show the missed call. When i call someone and then i hang up and view the placed calls screen, it does not show that either as well as the received calls that i do answer. has anyone experienced this with the Nokia 6650 flip phone? please leave comments if you know how to solve my problem.

I'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.

I was just wondering, if you enter an incorrect lock code on the N900 it just states that the code is incorrect. Is there a maximum number of times that you can enter the lock code before the phone does something like wipe itself?

I have a nokia 6086, bought at Orange France. I have changed the security code after buying, using probably one of my usual code (I have a few ones). but I did not write it, because it was an evident usual one. a few month ago I flash a new version of the firmware with PC Suite update tool. I've restored the data with PC Suite backup tool. no problem.
(I now suspect the security code to be reset to 12345)
I've also asked my operator (orange.fr) the code to unlock the Phone and accept foreign SIM. it worked. No relation normaly. 3 weeks ago I've acquired an indonesian XL SIM, and suddenly I could only access the SIM content, not my phone names list. I try to confgure it to access the phone names and it refuses my usual code. I make a few test, then many combination. then manymany in case I've choosend a perverse code, or a default code like 00000 or 12345. It was emitting no unusual moaning, no lock. I've thus make many tests, and retries. that I've found on internet that the initial code is 12345 but it did not work.
I've read that after 5 fails I should wait 5 minutes. I've respected that constraint and make a few tests, but no better. I suspect the code to be reset to 12345 by the firmware update, but also that my phone is "locked" by my many attempts. officially after 5 minutes it should works but maybe there is a definitive long term lock in case of to many tries?
Is there a way to reset the timer/counter of failures, so I can test the security code? the most stupid is that I can still read my numbers with PC Suite, OVI, through bluetooth and the USB cable. I think about updating the firmware and restoring the current frmware, then restoring the data.

I am trying to scrap my Nokia messaging account and restart from zero. It was working OK, though my E72 handset packed up after a couple of months. Nokia replaced the handset and I reinstalled my email accounts, and lo, two weeks later it all stops working. Nokia telephone support was helpful, but their password reset has done nothing to solve the problem. Now I just want to erase all Nokia messaging in my name and start again.

i'm new here and i hope that i will find answer to my problem.My phone is reseting or something like that.I insert the sim card in phone then i push the button to start it. I enter my Pin number , then appear the time and date to set ... and after 10-15 second the screen is black (like nothing on him / turned off ) and then in appear on screen battery and slowly other things the signal on netword and finally the screen and then it's starts again disappear all from screen and reset .like 7-10 times then it's stay off. if i turn him again on enter my pin number it's make the same thing.I used and another battery and do the same thing.

I purchased the Nokia Lumia 920 just under a month ago, a few times it's blacked out and i've done a reset (hold volume button and power button down) and it's worked, this time however when I done that reset the screen is not working, the side buttons are working but the touch screen is not working at all, I've tried reseting it multiple times, with holding both volume buttons with the power button and holding down one or the other the with power button and camera button, I've tried removing the sim but with no resolution and I don't know what else I can do. I know chances are I will have to take it to a store but I thought I would try on here first.

My N73 has been slow for some time, so I've been browsing these pages for a solution. This is what I've done so far: -
I changed my log history to one dayI moved all contacts and messages to my memory cardI reset the phone to factory defaults (my code was 11111 as default btw, not 12345 as suggested).
After powering up my newly restored handset I'm saddened to say that it's just as slow as before and is driving me nuts! Does anybody have any other ideas I could try?

I have a nokia 5130 XM that always worked normaly, but i dont used it for 2 months, and now that i need it again, the mobile turn on and it stop all the time in a white screen (it don't start).I've tried:
-Connect with USB cable to check if i can update software, but my pc not recognize the device.
-Used the reset codes, nothing happened
I don't have memory card inside.the mobile phone cannot start, and i dont know what to do.any ideas/support?

I have what seems to be a resonably common problem with my phone being locked out after too may pattern recognition attempts (My son's playfull fingers methinks).
I have consulted the forums including this one and it seems clear that the Log on fix for the google account using null as the password may work for some but hasn't for me.
I have tried to do a repair on the phone, but using pc companion i cannot get this too work, i cannot get into pc companion normally because the software is asking me to put the phone into Usb connect mode which i can't because i am locked out the phone.
method (that works) to get me phone to being useable again? perhaps i am doing the repair method wrong ( holding the back ket then connecting the usb cable does nothing)
