View 1 RepliesWhen ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference. Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
I changed my password on my curve, and I couldn't remember it and I got it wrong 10 times. It then said wiping and it wiped all my data. Luckily, I had a backup, however it wasn't very recent so I have lost a few contacts, but more importantly, all of my pictures. Is there any way at all that I can get them back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow many unlock attempts you get on these phones? (As default - I'm sure you can customize the security settings but I haven't done this.) I've left my phone somewhere, won't be able to get it for a while, and would like some peace of mind that it locks out after a certain number of attempts!

Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"
just to have it unlocked.

When setting a password, for the "Number of Password Attempts" (set to 10), can somebody absolutely confirm if it is 10 consecutive logins, or if it 10 total?
I'm assuming once you login correctly once that the number if incorrect attempts resets to 0, but I've seen statements in various articles that state or at least hint otherwise.
I'd like to increase the number of attempts to insert the password in my password keeper but I do not seem to have the option to do so. This is the procedure I should follow right? On the Home screen or in the Applications folder, click the Password Keeper icon.Press the key > Options.Set the Password Attempts field.Press the key > Save..point is that under Options I only get Home Screen Preferences..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was changing my password to a simpler one. I cannot remember the key(s) I hit by mistake (they were numbers). I am at the 9th of 10 allowed attempts. The manual tells me the device will be wiped if I go to #10. I've searched for a phone number for technical support, or a "Contact Us" option on the Blackberry website. There seems to be no way to access tech support. The whole reason I was using a password was to prevent inadvertent downloads due to the super-sensitve touch screen. I've been charged for numerous downloads that I was unaware I made, apparently while the device was in my pocket. I'm very disappointed in the whole Blackberry experience. Shouldn't there be a way that my password can be sent to me via email as there is for most every other forum in our lives for which we need a password -- at least without the draconian action of wiping my BB Torch 9800 clean of my data?

I've got a problem with my Xperia X10. The kids got ahold of my phone and tried my password too many times eventually locking it out for too many attempts. The phone is now asking for my g-mail account and password. I tried entering the information requested, but it kept saying incorrect login/pass. I successfully went through the steps in g-mail for password reset, but the phone still is not taking the updated (correct) information. Is there any kind of a reset available for this phone? I can't make it past that g-mail account login screen.

I can't unlock my phone and I'm using the correct password. I'm at my final attempt to enter the password or ALL of my personal information will be lost!! I just got off of the phone with customer service and was told basically I'm going to lose all my business contacts & personal notes that I entered this morning during my morning meeting and that it's my fault because I didn't back it up! How the heck can I back up my device while during my company meeting? I'm the owner and I have many notes and etc on my device that I put there this morning! Now I lose money because I can't get my information. I'm so ticked off right now! Customer service wasn't helpful at all...he just blamed me for my problem! Never mind the fact that the darn phone keeps turning itself on and off randomly!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to find out how to unlock a password without erasing anything on the phone. There are only 4 more attempts left out of 10. This is a blackberry curve. The reason I need to get into this phone is it was my sons and there are messages on it. He can't tell me the password because he passed away and as his mom I need some answers and contacts of his. I took it to verizon and they told me they couldn't do it because if they lost the info they didn't want to be liable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI forgot my BB in my backpocket and sat on it severally and found that the password had been attempted 6 times. It gave the instruction to type in "blackberry" and then the password which I did correctly, this is a password I have used since last month so I know I am not wrong. I have been unsuccessful in unlocking the phone but noticed the 4 digits entered now come up in readable characters on screen and not the usual asterix displayed when passwords/pins are entered.
View 9 Replies View Relatedif you have an ecrypted Samsung Galaxy S5 you already know that once you've encrypted it your only option for a screen lock is to enter a secure password. This gets annoying fast. When you want to access your phone quickly on the go it can be difficult to unlock it with any speed. Well I've come up with a way to get past the password lock screen with the same speed as a password and consistently quicker than the finger print scanner unlock.
What I've done and I've included on how to do it yourself instructions below. I've set my password to be one of my hot key options on my Samsung keyboard. I've also shortened my delay for the long press but how to do that isnt included here. (hopefully with screen shots we'll see first time attempt at posting pics here)
Doing this will allow you to quickly get by your lock screen and still have an encrypted device.
**NOTE** This is not a substitute to remember your password. Know it regardless of this being setup or not.
**NOTE** If you have auto space turned on (factory default setting) you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the added space or you will receive an incorrect password error message.
Here's how to do it:
1. Enter the pull down menu and click settings.
2. Tap Language & Input.
3. Now click on the samsung keyboard settings icon.
4. Next if turn on the my hot keys icon.
5. Enter your password under any number to long press to have it typed.
*Don't forget if you have auto space on you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the space or your password will not work.
so it goes the the screen where it says type in your email and password to unlock. I dont even remember my username or password. Some people saytype "null" but it doesnt work... im willing to restart everything reset this phone?!
