I'd like to increase the number of attempts to insert the password in my password keeper but I do not seem to have the option to do so. This is the procedure I should follow right? On the Home screen or in the Applications folder, click the Password Keeper icon.Press the key > Options.Set the Password Attempts field.Press the key > Save..point is that under Options I only get Home Screen Preferences..
When setting a password, for the "Number of Password Attempts" (set to 10), can somebody absolutely confirm if it is 10 consecutive logins, or if it 10 total?
I'm assuming once you login correctly once that the number if incorrect attempts resets to 0, but I've seen statements in various articles that state or at least hint otherwise.
I have misplaced the password for BlackBerry Bold 9700 Password Keeper that came with my phone. There is no data in the application. How do I reset or recover the password which I set a long time ago ? TNX
my Bold 9700 recently died on me. Upgraded to Bold 9900 (?). No problems. BUT I'd like to access the data in my password keeper on the old Bold. I can still get into it via the Desktop Manager (now using latest version - 7?), and have extracted all my photos, videos etc. Is there a way of doing the same for the data in the password keeper?

How can i downlaod and install Passwordkeeper application on 9700 Bold? I had issue on recv email on my BB so yesterday my service provided help desk formated my device. Now i do not see that application on my device.
Ok, So I was wondering if I were to take the plunge and upgrade to 5.0, since ATT hasnt released it yet and shows no signs of releasing it anytime soon, Will my memopads and password keeper information still be there when I load up 5.0? I have alot of stuff on these so losing them would mean no upgrade for me....Also I dont have a data plan, that wouldnt cause any problems right?
I recently upgraded the software of my phone and lost the password keeper app. I followed the procedure as mentioned on the solution given to someone and downloaded the device software for my desktop. However, when I go to the applications menu on the desktop manager, it only shows me the apps I have on my phone and not the password keeper.
I have a blackberry bold 9780. I backup all data before I wipe it. After that, I wiped and restored all data. Unfortunely, the password keeper can not be restored.
I updated my 9900 with the new 7.1 bundle and now no maps and no password keeper. I cannot install them from the desktop manager because the applications section has now been updated to only show the apps i have downloaded! Not happy at all with this new update and would really appreciate a solution as i have numerous pieces of important info in the password keeper. P.S. i also tried restoring my device from a date before the update, but still no maps or password keeper
After I did a back-up, our IMO department wiped data on my BB so e-mail settings could be changed.I imported the back-up files but, none of the passwords stored in the password keeper applications came back.
After upgrading to os 7.1.0.163 my password keeper application does not recognize my password. I am on 7 /10 unsuccessful tries before I assume I get eternally locked out and the data lost.
After two years of no problems, suddenly my PK is not accepting my access password. In fact it displays the actual characters rather than " * " .I have 3 tries left. I have read several threads and have learned that after 10 attempts - everything in PK is erased. This is not a matter of a forgotten password, but something else.
I'm looking for a great iPhone app to store & keep track of passwords AND that is connected to a website of some sort for backup & as another access point.
Most of the apps I've seen connect to & sync with a desktop computer application, but I'd like the app to sync with a website, so I can access my passcodes from any computer, like http://mitto.com/
I recently upgraded to OS 5, and now my password keeper doesn't load. When I click the Icon, it just brings up a blank white screen. It is also named differently, it is now called net_rim_bb_passwordkeeper I am using a Verizon Storm 9530.
I was changing my password to a simpler one. I cannot remember the key(s) I hit by mistake (they were numbers). I am at the 9th of 10 allowed attempts. The manual tells me the device will be wiped if I go to #10. I've searched for a phone number for technical support, or a "Contact Us" option on the Blackberry website. There seems to be no way to access tech support. The whole reason I was using a password was to prevent inadvertent downloads due to the super-sensitve touch screen. I've been charged for numerous downloads that I was unaware I made, apparently while the device was in my pocket. I'm very disappointed in the whole Blackberry experience. Shouldn't there be a way that my password can be sent to me via email as there is for most every other forum in our lives for which we need a password -- at least without the draconian action of wiping my BB Torch 9800 clean of my data?
I have activesync policy set on exchange 2007 to enforce 10 failed password attempts, however on my IOS devices, the policy enforced turns to 5 when exchange account is setup.
Ever since I upgraded to 5.0 and activated BES, my password keeper and notepad are gone (two apps that I avidly use!)
When I plug my blackberry into desktop manager, the apps are not there to be loaded on. I tried downloading them online and on blackberry website to no avail. The tech guys from my work can't figure it out either.
I am switching from Blackberry to Android.how to transfer my Password Keeper to my new android phone? I have all of my data backed up on Blackberry Desktop manager, but I don't know if the .ipd file will transfer to Droid.
I would like to have a hard copy of my passwords that are being kept in my password keeper program. Can this data be exported or is there a desktop application that will read this data?
How do I restore my password keeper data from a backup. The backup shows data being stored but it is greyed out not allowing me to restore it to my BlackBerry Storm2 9550. I recently wiped my phone rejoined my new enterprize server and now tried to restore all my data. Contacts, messages, etc all restored, but I did not get my password keeper data. Why would it back it up if I can't restore it? Even if I could read the data in the backup
My password will no longer let me access the password keeper application. I am up to 9/10 attempts and afraid to try the last one. Is there anyway to reset me password keeper application without first logging in? What happens if I hit the 10/10 attempts?
I was having an issue with my BB Torch wherein the device won't boot up.Upon the advice of the support folks, I was able to start it in Safe mode. However, the App World was missing - and hence I could not update any app, or install a new one.I took a backup, and upgraded the device software, and then restored all the data. Now, the App World is there, but the Password Keeper is missing.
