Ever since I upgraded to 5.0 and activated BES, my password keeper and notepad are gone (two apps that I avidly use!)
When I plug my blackberry into desktop manager, the apps are not there to be loaded on. I tried downloading them online and on blackberry website to no avail. The tech guys from my work can't figure it out either.
Any idea how to get these apps back?
After receiving a replacement Tour, I performed the device switch wizard, and all came through fine except...I no longer have the notepad icon, looked everywhere..."show all", options - > Applications -> All and I can't find it.I also can't find a setting for my phone, or desktop software that will allow me to accept meeting requests.
View 4 Replies View RelatedPer Verizon, I backed up my password keeper info onto my desktop. However, when I restored it to the new Tour, nothing appeared. I tried opening the password keeper app and then trying it. Nothing. Now, I have an .idp file on my computer and apparently no way to open it (I need the data as my old Tour is now gone).

So now I can't send emails and now I can't disable Password lock(screaming)
Blackberry Tour keeps giving me error that password for my email is wrong I'm having the problem now with my hotmail email on my BB since yesterday. I've tried to remove my battery, I've entered it like 30 +times, I even deleted the email from my phone. Now I can't add it back, it keeps saying that it's an invalid password and it can't validate, and to contact hotmail.com. I even changed my password on hotmail.com, I just logged into my hotmail on the actual computer with the correct same password, the same one that my BB won't take. When I put in my password on the email setup page it says, "Processing, please wait..." Then I get this error, "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persist, contact hotmail.com. " I have other email accounts on my phone that are working just fine.
View 19 Replies View RelatedAny ideas before I do a hard reset?As of last night, my Blackberry isn't fully unlocking after I type my password. I type the correct password and hit enter, the password entry section turns dark (or it will stay on the "Enter Password screen" and appear to freeze). (If I type the wrong password it simply prompts me again, so i know I am typing the correct password). This is after multiple battery pulls.Sometimes after typing the correct password, I can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up the box that lets me switch to BBM, the browser, the Home Screen, etc and I can "switch" to that program, but there is a sort of frozen shadow of the Enter Password box over what ever app I switch to and I can't use the trackball or keyboard in those apps.This "frozen box' is preventing me from using any application on my BB!I CAN receive calls. Barely. I can only make calls if I pull battery and DON'T unlock the phone and go to the Place Call option.I upgraded to OS 5 over a week ago and things were fine until last night. I can hear my BB when it receives messages (the tones work) or txt etc but can't read anything due to the lock up!The only suspect is Google Talk which I installed two days ago and seemed to be hogging resources and draining the battery, however the phone worked fine for about a day with it on. Perhaps Google Talk is launching at startup and hanging things up? I doubt it but this is full disclosure.I have also, pulled battery and removed the micro-sd card to see if that had any affect -- alas to no avail.One analogy I can think of is it as if the Windows Explorer is hung but everything else is working.

This morning I changed my password on my gmail account and now it will not let me receive messages on my blackberry. I deleted the account through the email settings and tried to re add it and it keeps saying username or password is invalid. It seems very odd to me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?

I can still get into it via the Desktop Manager (now using latest version - 7?), and have extracted all my photos, videos etc. Is there a way of doing the same for the data in the password keeper?

I recently upgraded to OS 5, and now my password keeper doesn't load. When I click the Icon, it just brings up a blank white screen. It is also named differently, it is now called net_rim_bb_passwordkeeper I am using a Verizon Storm 9530.

However, the App World was missing - and hence I could not update any app, or install a new one.I took a backup, and upgraded the device software, and then restored all the data.Now, the App World is there, but the Password Keeper is missing.
