Oct 24, 2011When ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.

Aug 15, 2015I am having issue where phone will not come out of lock screen. Buttons light but screen stays black. I can reboot and use phone so I know it is not hardware. I can still blindly touch screen and maybe get past lock but stays black til I reboot.

Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"

Aug 22, 2015I'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.

May 19, 2015I made a thread about this a while ago but I'm wondering if there's an app to solve this. On the nexus 4 you could make it so when you wake up the phone it requires no unlock but if you sleep it for (whatever you set the time for) it will then lock to the chosen security type.
Is there an app that can allow this to happen without having to just remove a lock feature which I'd rather not do? To simulate what i mean for some reason if you do a Google search bar search then then lock the phone and unlock it again you'll see it doesn't have you swipe for some reason.

Jun 12, 2015I use a pattern lock and the security lock timeout is set for 30 minutes. I have the screen timeout set to 30 seconds. I have disabled the power button to immediately lock the phone. Every time I open my phone I still have to take the extra step to slide to unlock even though the phone is technically not locked. This is just an extra annoying step. Is there any way to skip the slide to unlock step?

Aug 26, 2015When I unlock my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F, Android 5.0, kernel 3.4.0-4854135) a metallic sound can be heard. It's not the ordinary sound that can be disabled/enabled in Sounds and notifications -> Other -> Screen lock sound. I've tried to check and uncheck that option, which adds a "clicking" sound (not a one that I want), so that option seems to be working.
Extremely annoying that the unlocking sound cannot be removed anywhere in the phones Settings.Also, when I'm talking to someone on the phone, sometimes a watery, notification type of sound can be heard, but when looking at the phones display, nothing has happened that one should be notified about.

Whenever I try to unlock my mobile, I am asked to press and sweep to unlock my phone followed by the draw pattern (which i have enabled in the location and security section) to unlock the mobile completely. Now I don't want the Press and Sweep option to unlock my mobile. I just want the draw pattern to unlock the mobile. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to disable that Press and Sweep to unlock option in the mini pro or any app to disable it?? I tried the No Lock App but that is disabling the draw pattern to unlock as well.

Now, there is an option in Settings -> Location & Security -> Use tactile feedback. It only works partially. It enabled fingerprint authentication produces one short and one long vibration. When disable it is down to one short vibration. I am curious is this a bug or a feature?

May 22, 2011a couple of issues with Droid X2, that's otherwise an awesome, very fast and responsive phone:
1.My new Droid X2 takes 2-3 seconds to turn on the screen after the power button is pressed to take it out of sleep mode, is there a way Motorola can address this issue since it did not exist in Droid X1.
2.I wish there was a way to disable vibration on the unlock slider (I know it didn't exist on DX1) but it'd be nice to have ability to not have that.
3.Is there a way to make it so that when you turn on the phone it does not make a loud "Droid" sound? Even if it's in silent or vibrate mode it still makes that sound, this didn't exist in DX1.Otherwise I like the screen more than in DX1 because it's more contrasty, sharper, and way more responsive to touch, which is great.The motoblur and interface.Same can be said about the whole phone, it's faster/more responsive and more refined UI compared to DX1 in my opinion, good job there.
1.Please add a numeric battery percentage indicator overlaying or next to the battery meter in top notification bar, or atleast return the battery percentage info in the settings like it was in DX1, otherwise one has to go Settings -> About -> Status to see it.
2.Please make gallery display all the pictures after a single-click on gallery app, instead of having to first click on gallery, then wait for some slide-show preview to render, then having to click on "Camera Roll" to get to actual pictures. Seems like a 10 second (2 click) process to view your pictures, it really should just be 1 click and 1-2 second process...
3.Please allow to turn off vibration on slider unlock, as well as "Droid" sound when phone boots up.
4.Please add ability to remove 7 home-screens and set it to only 1 if that's what I use.
5.Allow more icons on the home-screen, I think 5 rows can easily fit, maybe even 5 columns, or 6 rows, instead of generic 4 x 4.

Nov 15, 2010I have what seems to be a resonably common problem with my phone being locked out after too may pattern recognition attempts (My son's playfull fingers methinks).
I have consulted the forums including this one and it seems clear that the Log on fix for the google account using null as the password may work for some but hasn't for me.
I have tried to do a repair on the phone, but using pc companion i cannot get this too work, i cannot get into pc companion normally because the software is asking me to put the phone into Usb connect mode which i can't because i am locked out the phone.
method (that works) to get me phone to being useable again? perhaps i am doing the repair method wrong ( holding the back ket then connecting the usb cable does nothing)
