SE/Google wants to make the slide to unlock available, but the way as it is currently implemented is very annoying.The on/off button already locks the screen nicely and I really don't need another obstacle to pass.On the other hand if you use slide to unlock the screen should not be black ever. I know the X10 mini battery is just not good enough for that...

I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. The keyboard however works fine, so what I'm wondering is if there's any way for me to use the keyboard to unlock my phone?

Whenever I try to unlock my mobile, I am asked to press and sweep to unlock my phone followed by the draw pattern (which i have enabled in the location and security section) to unlock the mobile completely. Now I don't want the Press and Sweep option to unlock my mobile. I just want the draw pattern to unlock the mobile. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to disable that Press and Sweep to unlock option in the mini pro or any app to disable it?? I tried the No Lock App but that is disabling the draw pattern to unlock as well.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a pattern lock and the security lock timeout is set for 30 minutes. I have the screen timeout set to 30 seconds. I have disabled the power button to immediately lock the phone. Every time I open my phone I still have to take the extra step to slide to unlock even though the phone is technically not locked. This is just an extra annoying step. Is there any way to skip the slide to unlock step?

Latest android 2.1 on phone, have tried repairing this and using service / app killers. It is not a dirty screen as often once you have missed the call you can unlock the screen easily.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Mini Pro has a fault with the keyboard - when I slide it out it activates, ie the background light comes on but then it goes out. Sometimes it stays on a for a few seconds whilst fully open but then goes off. Nothing physical has happened to the phone and it doesn't seem to be a loose connection or anything. I've tried updating the software but that didn't help.

It hasn't been damaged and I haven't rooted it or done anything out of the ordinary with it. It's only 6 months old.

Did a factory reset which didnt solve the problem. Decided to upgrade to android 2.1 and now none of the keys on the slide out keyboard work. Tried to reinstall android 2.1 and still doesnt work. And i have to take out the battery and insert again for it to function properly. I am in Pakistan so i cant take it to any Sony franchise.. But when I am locking the phone with not slided out keyboard, sometimes it automatically unlocks the screen because the phone thinks that I slided out my keyboard, and normally when you slide out your keyboard at locked mode and don't have any code or password it unlocks the screen.
