My Xperia Mini Pro has a fault with the keyboard - when I slide it out it activates, ie the background light comes on but then it goes out. Sometimes it stays on a for a few seconds whilst fully open but then goes off. Nothing physical has happened to the phone and it doesn't seem to be a loose connection or anything. I've tried updating the software but that didn't help.

I have an x10 mini pro which has been great until today (on android 1.6) All of a sudden some of the keys on the slide out keyboard stopped working. Did a factory reset which didnt solve the problem. Decided to upgrade to android 2.1 and now none of the keys on the slide out keyboard work. Tried to reinstall android 2.1 and still doesnt work. Also tried the repair bit on pc companion.

I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Ericsson XPERIA MK16a Android 2.3.4. I believe the slide-out keyboard should highlight when it's out, but mine doesn't since 2 months, nearly when I bough it. I tried to find a highlight setting I would have disactivated by mistake but there is no highlight set up. At this point, i'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem, or if the phone just doesn't have highlight function.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI follow the instructions however when I plug the phone back in, holding down the backup button, nothing happens.The computer tells me it notices a semc flash device, however the computer freezes and the phone itself just goes to the battery charge screen.I have to disconnect the phone and reboot the computer. Luckily the phone still has all its information when I turn it on again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUp until 3 weeks ago my Sk17i worked perfectly and didn't miss a beat. Since then it randomly switches itself off and regaularly reboots when I slide the keyboard out. It hasn't been damaged and I haven't rooted it or done anything out of the ordinary with it. It's only 6 months old.

My OS is windows XP and I have tried both PC companion and SE Update service for the upgrade. When it comes to the part where I have to "turn off the phone...wait for 5 or 30 secs, connect the cables etc then press the back button while inserting the microUSB into the phone"....then nothing happens. My computer just freezes after a few minutes with nothing indicating on the screen that something...anything is going on. I have tried this several times and for several days already.

And i have to take out the battery and insert again for it to function properly. I am in Pakistan so i cant take it to any Sony franchise.. I got it checked here locally and found out that the slider strip is damaged. Can u tell if its really the strip and if so can u parcel me the strip if i pay for it.

I know the X10 mini battery is just not good enough for that...
View 1 Replies View Relatedi used my sony pc commpanion to try to upgrade my sony erricson mini pro (sk17i) to the new ics OS . halfway thru the download i get a screen which says softare update failure. thats like half an hour thru the downloading process. my si nummber is liisted on the sony website for the official upgrade. (1249-0761). A company of sony s repute really needs to offer better customer service.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBasically I updated my girlfriend's Mini Pro (Hong Kong SI) the other day with SUS to ICS (4.0.4); did the clean wipe and update option. Everything has been working fine with much improved browser speed etc, however, today the camera just stopped working.Literally, the camera app draws a blank and 3rd party Camera apps just say cannot connect to camera. The only solution was a manual reboot of the phone. Is this a common for others who've updated to ICS?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I am not using and not sliding out my keyboard sometimes it gets automatically to the horizontal or when I slide out my keyboard, the screen gets not horizontal. At worst case it lacks between horizontal and vertical mode.
But when I am locking the phone with not slided out keyboard, sometimes it automatically unlocks the screen because the phone thinks that I slided out my keyboard, and normally when you slide out your keyboard at locked mode and don't have any code or password it unlocks the screen.
After upgrading my Xperia Pro to ICS, my right to left slide on the unlock screen has been changed from Slide to Silent Mode to Slide to Camera. How can I revert this?

However, under "Settings - Language&Keyboard" there is NO menu item for Android keyboard.... As it appears, she uses the standard T3 enty mode and simple does not like the recommended words. There is no way to set it back now and I am thinking about playing it back to 1.6 despite the advantages coming with it.
Is there another way to change this setting?
