LG G4 :: Disable Slide To Unlock When Pattern Lock Already Enabled?
Jun 12, 2015
I use a pattern lock and the security lock timeout is set for 30 minutes. I have the screen timeout set to 30 seconds. I have disabled the power button to immediately lock the phone. Every time I open my phone I still have to take the extra step to slide to unlock even though the phone is technically not locked. This is just an extra annoying step. Is there any way to skip the slide to unlock step?
I just switched from a Motorola Droid to a Droid X2. However, the lock screen is giving me issues. If I turn on pattern lock, it still leaves the slide lock activated. On the old Droid, it turned OFF the scroll lock when pattern lock was activated. How can I disable the scroll lock while pattern lock is activated? It's rather annoying having two lock screens...
After my last thread which pointed out I was just simply lookin in the wrong place I bet there is a pretty easy solution for this too, I just can't seem to find it.Currently when unlocking my phone, I have to do the slide to unlock, and then input my pattern to unlock. I want my phone so that when I only have to do the pattern. The security options on the phone allow for "None", "Pattern", "Password", and "Pin". It says nothing of the slide to unlock feature and I can not figure out how to turn the thing off.
The upgrade to Gingerbread has been seamless aside from one issue that has recently popped up. I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.
My daughter (whose BB this is) downloaded a smiley pattern unlock from BB App World and entered a password but the app will not now recognise the password and so the handset is effectively locked! Is there a way to get round this such as restoring factory settings?
SE/Google wants to make the slide to unlock available, but the way as it is currently implemented is very annoying. The on/off button already locks the screen nicely and I really don't need another obstacle to pass.On the other hand if you use slide to unlock the screen should not be black ever. I know the X10 mini battery is just not good enough for that...
i want to ask that i have Nokia C6-01 ... and updated it and get Nokia Belle Refresh ... i have 2 questions to you...can you give me more information about it...1)why we can not slide to unlock or slide to answer ... when will we do with belle???2)today i read about Nokia Belle news i saw that there is new Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 ... when can we get it???or will be update in C6-01??? which models will be
Tried a few times to set this up using known locations. The phone recognizes its at the known location but i still cant unlock without having to use the fingerprint scan. It would be key if i didn't have to use the scan every time Im in a comfortable locale.
I installed Foxfi which required that I create a lock screen password before it would work. I assumed that I would be able to remove lock screen security during the times when I don't need to create a hotspot. But now it will not let me disable the security. I even uninstalled foxfi and restarted the phone but the option to disable is still greyed out. What do I need to do?
First of all this is minor Bug, but still - BUG!There is phone configuration description:Phone: Xperia X10iFW: android 2.1patterns - default slider + unlock patternBug description1) when phone is locled, press home or power button.2) move slider, to be able to draw pattern.3) start to draw pattern and wait till screen oes black (do not remove your finger). So your pattern is not finished and screen has gone black. Try to remember place of the finger.4) press home or power button again.5) finish unlock pattern from place you was, when screen turned black.6) your phone is unlocked!!!So, if you did not finished your pattern and your screen have gone black you might think, that the phone locked, but this is not true.

i bought my mobile alomost 8 months ago. It is working fine . bt lately i observed that pattern lock was not working properly. i did factpry reset my phone and even i repaired my phone using PC companion. still not working. i am using android 4.0. already i got problem with charge pin , i given it in sony service center and got repaired , after 15 days of service i am facing pattern unlock problem. when i try in first touch itself its giving sorry try again, i have not touched 2nd pattern . if i try continuously , 5 time same pattern is working fine.I got confused wiht it. i bought this phone in Jumbo electronics, authorized dealer of sony in abudhabi UAE.
dkotoric has realised this is due to using the double tap to sleep function on some launchers. Locking your device with that prevents the fingerprint scanner from allowing access for some reason. So today was my first full day with the 6P. It's a truly great device. A whole bunch of times though when I've come to unlock the device I've had to put in my pattern because it won't accept the fingerprint scanner.
The icon at the bottom of the lock screen that should be a fingerprint is just a lock symbol. If I then lock the phone again and reunlock it works as expected. Not sure if this is a software bug or some setting I've got wrong. Can't see a pattern for when it does it though. I've switched 'require pattern on restart' off which has made no difference.
well my friend was messing about, and changed my unlock pattern. then forgot it.. i've tried to restart it but i can't? PLEASE HELP. is there any other ways i could restart it? i've read other comments saying that something comes up asking for gmail account information but i haven't come across anything like that.
I use sony xperia z2 and i forgot my pattern and i cant unlock it i tried to rest it from my pc but to do it i have to unlock the screen so iwant to rest the phone
I just switched back to Android from a iPhone 5 and installed SlideLock to change my lock screen. I absolutely love the app and the notifications on my lock screen, however, I'm having an issue with the app not accessing the pattern unlock screen. I've set it both in settings and via SlideLock, but for some reason, but it just won't activate the pattern unlock when I access the phone.
i'm new to sonyericsson. recently i bought an X10i. few days back, one of my nephews tried to unlock the pattern that i used as passwrd...i suppose he had failed in his attempts...and my phne is now locked and requires me to use a google account... could sm1 tell me hw may i unlock the phone since i dun remember the google acc details
I had BB storm 9500 and i was not using it for sometime as I switched to another model. Now again I want to use my old storm where i use a secret pattern to lock the screen but unfortunately i forgot the pattern. How can i recover the secret pattern or reset the phone setting so that i can start using my BB storm.
So I just got the Lollipop update this morning and I setup a pattern lock instead of my fingerprint, was working just fine. I was doing some things around the house with using Google Music All Access to listen to music, went to switch music and I cannot get into my phone, doesn't even register that I'm trying to put in a pattern.
This is not good, can't even get in my phone to call anyone. Nothing is recognizing my touch.
I just got a new HTC desire phone and as I learned how to use it I put a lock on, which I have now forgotten! I used the draw pattern to unlock, I am not registered on google yet, is there anyway to unlock the phone?
my touch screen cracked after I droppet my Xperia Mini Pro on the pavement. I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. The keyboard however works fine, so what I'm wondering is if there's any way for me to use the keyboard to unlock my phone?
I forgot my lock pattern, and even though I've tried the wrong pattern about 80 times by now, the "forgot pattern" button won't show up.I know my gmail address and password, so that's not a problem, I just have no way to enter it.When I've tried to lock my phone with a password using the android device manager I got a message saying that a lock request has been sent, but right after that it says "We could not lock your device. Please try again."I've also tried turning it off and on again, hoping that it'd be unlocked after I've entered my pin, but it's still locked. While I know that I might end up having to reset it.
I've been using the pattern screen lock since I got my mopho in november. It's been working smoothly until now. I recently decided to change it, so I go to settings put in a new pattern and confirm it no problem. I locked it to try it out and now when I press on the first circle it doesn't light up and it doesn't show a trail behind it. The screen also shuts off in 3 seconds. Now I can't unlock my phone. I'm not running any lockers or launchers just stock android. I searched google and these forums for lock screen bugs but I haven't found anything similar to my situation.
I'm having a problem with my phone security. I unfortunately forgot the required pattern to unlock my phone and now it's isn't recognising my answer to the security code question. Is there any means to restart the phone or get access to phone menu again ??
