when my phone rings and i dont answer it, it will show 1 missed call. when i click view, it does not show the missed call. When i call someone and then i hang up and view the placed calls screen, it does not show that either as well as the received calls that i do answer. has anyone experienced this with the Nokia 6650 flip phone? please leave comments if you know how to solve my problem.
View 6 RepliesI recently deleted 2000 messages from my inbox using the mark all/delete function. It seems though after this process my Xpress Music has started playing up. Text messages are only being received when i switch the phone off then on again they come through. Also, if i have missed a call and hit the log or - show missed calls button, the phone says no missed calls/ no information.Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a fix?

Today I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.
I have an iPhone 4s. when someone rings to my phone number, my phone doesn't ring display the call on my lock screen. After it's stopped ringing, the phone doesn't show me a missed call alert on my lock screen or in the phone app.
My mute is off, do not disturb is off, I haven't blocked anyone and my volume is on maximum but I still can't hear anything.Â

I have somehow set my message box to only show missed calls & I can't get it back to showing all messages?I have looked in messages options - inbox management & Desktop is ticked as well as text messages. I also in 'phone', options, call logs and lists, changed 'Show These Call Log Types in Message List' to None & it still only shows Missed Call as the title & shows the list. I looked in the long on-line manual but it didn't help. Also I tried View Folder to select different mail folders from my desk based Outlook list but still the display is stuck...

I guess it happened since I installed BestBlacklist free applications from ovi site. Then I uninstalled that application and even restored factory settings, but notifications didn't come back. I use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts & calendar with Address Book and i Cal on my Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX Leopard.This morning, I synced the phone and computer as I always do, but got an error message that "Device synchronization failed" without further explanation. When I tried syncing again, I got a warning message that "The phone could not store some of your calendar events. The following events will not be synchronized:..." Concurrently, the phone showed the error message "Application Closed: CalendarServerThread". After wards, the phone calendar just shows up as blank and won't respond to input (I can't change the date, although I can access the menu). The calendar works again once I delete all entries.
I've done a full reset of the phone, yet the problem is still happening. Can anyone help me?
I've been trying to unlock my 6650 without success. So far I've tried 3 codes. Before I try any more, is there a way to rest the counter that counts the attempts back to zero? I don't want to hit the max # of attempts.
Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"
just to have it unlocked.

If I have received calls from my wife, I am unable to view the log of calls. All I can view is the latest one.
I used to have a 6300 where I could view all the occassions.
My iphone 4s rings at 2am in the morning. The main screen does not show a call coming in, it never shows a received or missed call so there is no phone number so i cant block it. If i shut down the phone down and turn it back on before bed it seems to work and doesn't ring. I cant shut the phone off or put it on vibrate because i have an elderly mother who lives down stairs so i need to hear the phone ring if she needs me for something. I thought maybe i should reset or restore the phone but was hoping there was an easy solution.

has anyone experienced problems with their call log? It is set for 30 days but when I try to access "Missed Calls", "Received Calls" or "Dialled Numbers" nothing happens. Also when I press the green send key, no previously dialled numbers are shown. If I receive a missed call and press "show" I just get the home screen.

It shows just the number.It doesn't show any name, I tried it with 10+ different people, both calling and texting. I have no duplicates in my address-book. I didn't add anything in the last 3 days. Yesterday everything worked just fine. I have no '(unnamed)' entries in my address-book either. No empty entries either. I didn't sync my phone with my pc (via Nokia PC Suite) since last week.

If you miss a call or SMS on the C5 then there is no way to tell.
You cannot see the indicator on the screen saver (power saver) display because it is so unbelievably dark (what is the point of that ?!). Also, no flashing buttons/lights to indicate a missed call message.
My previous phone (6300) used to flash its side light for over an hour so that you knew there was something to check. The battey life for this phone is quite impressive - but unfortunately this seems to be at the expense of the usability of the phone.

I know normal cellphones know and if I answer an unknown call, that the number is stored in the phone. How can I know the phone numbers of the calls I missed?
Or maybe, what do I do so that the future call numbers are registered so that I can call them back?
I have very poor reception at my school. I usually don't look at my phone for 4-5 hours into the day...is there a program that is available that can give an email if I miss a call or sms etc...? I carry my iPad with me and can view emails ...but if i have my phone the lack of reception kills my battery in an hour....
