I can only confirm that i see most of the already posted issues with the 40.0.005 FW. Most seriously is controlled the phone restart. Mine does it 2-3 time pr day. The phone is totally unusable now. I have been forced to take an old HTC windoes mobile in to action again.Will probably go for an Android now. @Nokia: Not a good action to move all 2G development to India!
View 4 RepliesI didn't find a topic to help but basically my problem isthat using the ovi map application causes a restrart on my phone.The application loads but a minute through it causes the phone to restars or to even turn off.Nokia supports sent me an Email with instruction to install the ovi map on the phone.The problem still persists like before.I have no data plan and I used the internet to load the map. I apprciate any help you can offer.

View 10 Replies View RelatedGot a 5800 express music and i must say i am rather disappointing, not only have i never been a fan of nokia but this sort of proves the point really.it is unfortunately out of warrant and i have seen a few cases of the problem on Google but no solutions.My nokia 5800 is absolutely perfect in every way when it's locked and left alone. but as soon as you start to use it for anything the screen goes funny and the phone restarts. it does this when i text, when I'm on the phone, installing apps, listening to music, using bluetooth. literally anything that uses the phone.I've even tried taking the board out and putting it in my dads 5800 to test whether it was the lcd, digitizer or any other external pieces of hardware.changed battery,tried using different sims,tried using flight mode and no matter what i try the problem persists.any suggestions?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've got a strange problem with my 5800, when I want to enter application manager > installed applications my phone restarts. From recent installed applications a major ones would be Ovi Maps and (today) Java 2.0 from Nokia Beta Labs. I am not sure which one could cause the described problem, but I think it would be Java. Why? Because without memory card present I can enter 'installed apps' without any problem. I have to tell you, that only in my opinion Java causes that, I don't know if any other doesn't. How to manage the problem without a hard reset? I really wouldn't like to install all my stuff once again.

Nokia have finally updated 5800 FW but i am unable to download it because the NSU isn't working correctly. Everytime I open the program I get the message; "Nokia Software Updater has attempted to connect to the internet but has failed three times. This could be because of a poor-quality, slow or intermittent internet connection, or restrictions due to a firewall.
If requested by your firewall, Nokia Software Updater needs the following applications to gain access to the internet:
nsl_host_process.exe
nsu_u_clienti.exe" The program will then close down.
I have a good, steady internet connection (10mb) and all firewalls are off.
my BB restarts automatically with any setting done for rebooting atleast 2times a day.plz assist me for the same probelm n my contacts also get deleted automaticaly from my address book.

I'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.

After long conversation they agree to check it in their service labs.. Today I got it back, they told that the phone was reset to default settings and it works now as it have to work (on their opinion).All problems persist, phone may close one of the applications unexpectedly or simple restarts and closing all open applications.

I have recorded few videos with the phone (at high quality), all OK. But in the gallery the playback of these videos sometimes lags (video stops, audio continues or stops too) and sometimes this ends with a restart of the whole phone (display backlight shuts off, screen freezes, then NOKIA shows up and the phone starts again, without asking for PIN, resulting in the standby screen). Usually if I play the same video again, it does not lag. The video is stored on an SDHC 4GB card, class C4. I have installed the latest firmware.Any suggestions?

Is there anything to do but return this brick to the store? My new N900 will reset/restart about every 20 seconds, no matter what I do. I've tried with SIM, without SIM, with and without memory card, on and off charger... Invariably it will reboot within the minute. One time it even said "Device Malfunction. Device shutdown in 10 secs" on the white NOKIA screen. The FW version is 2.2009.51-1, but I can't upgrade to the newest version to see if that solves the problem. When I tried, I only got about half way through the download before the device rebooted again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo ive had my Nokia for a few months now, no problems all going fine. Untill recently I tried to uninstall Fring from my phone and it didnt work. So i connected it via usb and then deleted it via my PC. Then a system error message started coming up and I ignored it at first. However my friends were saying they were not recieving some of my calls and texts. So i looked at other forum posts and people reccomened to update the firmware so i did that and now my phone is in major problems. It keeps saying memory full and when i try to access the memory part to clear some stuff it just restarts. sometimes it says vcommand something and restarts but usually it just says memory full and restarts. Its really bugging me and Im considering selling it and buying a Blackberry becaue it is really anoying. Is there anything i can do to solve this or am i screwed?

Updated my Nokia N8 with anna 3 days ago. Just this morning after a 5 minute phone call, my phone freezes. I turn it off and wait 2 minutes and turn it back on. Since then my phone keeps restarting twice every minute. It loads to the home screen after i key in my security code and then restarts. I turned it off for 5hrs and just switched it back on. Now my phones language has changed from English to French and still keeps restarting

Haven't tested NFC yet) at random times and I can't reconnect. It always says after that it can't connect and the connections are unavailable.After turning the phone off and then on again, everything is back to normal. I can normally connect to the 3G connection, Wi-Fi and USB.It's pretty annoying as I always have to restart my phone in order to connect via USB or to the Internet when it happens.Anyone else who is experiencing the same problem or has any solutions to this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've E72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM. When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly,well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.
