IPhone :: 3GS Restarts Multiple Times When "No Service"
Apr 22, 2012
My iPhone 3GS keep restarting when theres "No Service" , this usually happens when I am in the lift and there's no reception, then the iPhone would restarts until it's able to "receive messages".
The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
HELP: My 4S keeps downloading and then re-downloading e-mail messages after they are deleted from the phone. My company uses Godaddy.com as their e-mail server. It is a POP3 account.
In Outlook 2010, I keep the message on the server for 9 days in case I am out of town and can't acces my computer in the office. But I am unsure why the e-mail messages keep getting re-downloaded after they have been downloaded on the iPhone.
If I set the iPhone to delete the message after downloading, will my GoDaddy server delete the message? Or will that change only control how many times the phone downloads the message? My BB never had an issue like this and this is the only frustration so far with the iPhone. I suppose i can always delete the e-mails on the server twice a week, but it's just one more thing to do.
iOS 5.1.1 Crashes daily, multiple times. Crashes when use fb app, or any other app, google map, google search..randomly almost on every usage. Sometimes even crashes when I simply swipe on my home screen. What I can do to make it stable?
I can only confirm that i see most of the already posted issues with the 40.0.005 FW. Most seriously is controlled the phone restart. Mine does it 2-3 time pr day. The phone is totally unusable now. I have been forced to take an old HTC windoes mobile in to action again. Will probably go for an Android now. @Nokia: Not a good action to move all 2G development to India!
I received the same message multiple times and the person that sends it only did it once. Also, I have trouble getting texts from non iPhone using friends.
My iphone 4 is ringing multiple times if I don't read the text within 5 minutes of the last ring it's really annoying and i want to take it off my iphone.

my HTC desire phone restarts unexpectedly and sometime restarts phone about 10 times and stuck with blank screen.i did hard reset but still problem is same. have any one face this issue and how can i fix this issue.
My HTC One is only about 8 months old and just recently the battery needs to be charged multiple times per day. I set it so the % shows and if seems to be losing about 1% every minute or few minutes while in use. I close all apps when I'm finished, and I'm usually only messaging. My battery usage information shows some apps using about 1% of the battery while the android system itself is using 93% of the battery. I have enabled power saver and also turned off everything except mobile data. I also applied some tips I read about to preserve battery life. Nothing seems to work. Is this a common issue with the 4.3 update or should I be taking my phone in to my provider and asking them to fix it (since it is still under warranty)....
I have a Torch 9800. This device freezes up multiple times per day. I've had it for 1 1/2 years now, and has done this since about 6 months in. Used to happen only occasionally, then more often. When I upgraded the software it seemed to stop for awhile, then started again, and is now not only annoying, but is preventing me from doing my work. It has frozen up already 4 times in a 5 hour time period. When this happens, I cannot do anything, access emails, make calls, etc. I can receive calls, but cannot disconnect once the call is complete. The freeze goes on for between 5 and 10 minutes at a time. Sometimes (but not always) once its done, an error message comes on screen that says: "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(1637) is not responding, process terminated. " The number (1637) is always different. I do not use BBM, and have tried to see if I can delete it from my phone, but it doesn't seem that I can. I am up to date on all software.
My Z3+ randomly reboots multiple times/day(30+). I've tried restoring with PC Companion, hard reset, factory reset, safe mode, everything. I tried running diagnostics but it's a crapshoot. Sometimes I will get a neverending loading loop and sometimes I'll get a error message, "Unfortunately Diagnostics has stopped." and then the phone will reboot iself.
Ever since the latest serving of KitKat (4.4.4) via Verizon I seem to be having some issues with sending, or rather over sending, pics via SMS or MMS. My fair raven domesticated companion complains to thee of receiving multiple times. Thy only resolution to this debacle is to restart thy beast to clear its OCD tendency.
Issue I'm having with WiFi. When I disable it, the first time it turns itself back on. When I disable it a second time again right away it stays off, any way to keep it off the first time? Sprint GS6.
Since my N8-00 has been upgraded to Symbian Anna, a single SMS message is billed multiple times. Now and then a simple SMS (within the constraints of a single SMS, without any special letters) shows up on my bill as if it was send 2 (sometimes even 3) times. Each time there is a delay of exactly 3 seconds between them.It seems as if the communication between the phone and the SIM card or the cell tower causes the phone to attempt sending the SMS multiple times, while actually each time it tries, the attempt is marked as sent and consecutively shows up on the bill.Because this problem has only been occuring since the upgrade to Symbian Anna, I suspect a software bug to be the problem. The receiver phone gets only 1 SMS as he/she is supposed to.
Only now are they not syncing up with my computer view of my email account. I tried disabiling and reenabiling the settings with no luck. I also keep getting the same few emails multiple times- like 12 times, each with a half hour in between. I thought this was a security issue with my email account so I changed my password, but no such luck. I attempted to find a way to contact Gmail and Blackberry directly, thinking it might be a problem on their ends, but I failed at finding a way to communicate with a Gmail or a Blackberry rep directly.
My contact app crashes multiple times a day, so essentially I have no contacts. If someone calls or text they are recognized but nothing is in the app if it decides to open. Also my visual voice-mail craps out when trying to open it. All of this since the t-mobile 5.1.1 update..
apart from having no battery in the box when i first got it, i haven't had any major issues with my xperia x10 mini pro as of yet (touch wood!) but having some minor problems.recently, if someone sends me a text message, i would receive it 3 or 4 times, which is pretty irritating. also i've never been able to watch Internet videos (or any videos online for that matter). i have the tubemate app but it doesn't work, and trying to watch a Internet video on the browser doesn't work either.
I bought my Galaxy S2 on the 21st of July from Carphone Warehouse on a new contract (Panther 30). I've been with Orange for a few years now but it was time for an upgrade.Ever since I've had the phone, I recieve duplicate txt messages from anyone who txts me. It could be Iphone users, Blackberry users, other networks, you name it. I even get multiple txt messages from competetions (you know, when you try win all that gear on The Gadget Show and they send a conformation txt acknowledging your entry). I can recieve up to 5-6 of the same txt message throughout the day (they usually come in quite quickly) and I can even get them days after me first recieveing the original.I went back to Carphone Warehouse for their help but they suggested I rang Orange first to find out if it was a network problem or handset issue.Orange were useless at first but then I got through to technical support team 2. An action was opened and so we tried different solutions.
1. Factory reset of the handset. Didn't work.
2. Put my SIM card into another phone (Samsung D500). Suprisingly this worked and I didn't recieve any duplicates the whole day, which indicated it was indeed a handset problem. We agreed that I should go back to Carphone Warehouse and get a new handset but if the problem continued then I should get back in contact with the same chap in techincal support team 2.
3. Went off to Carphone Warehouse. Got the new handset. Unfortunatly the problem remained. It actually got much worse!
4. Got back in contact with the chap at Orange and he could see on his system that there were error codes and that the recieved txt messages weren't recognized at being recieved, therefore would be sent again and again. All the information we had was sent off the tech boffins at Orange to see if they could think of a solution.
5. Finally Orange came back with an answer, which was that I should try a new SIM card (register it and everything). So they sent one, which has only arrived this morning (took 8days). I've recieved the Orange txt that should come within 24hours and then deleted it and turned the phone off. BUT NO! This hasn't worked either. I've already recieved duplicate txt messages from someone. Three of one, and two of another txt.
I usually have 3bars to full signal where I am so it's not as though poor signal is causing this. Everyone else in the house is on Orange too and doesn't have this same problem. I never did either on my old Nokia 5800. It doesn't just happen at home though. I could be anywhere.
Signal strength (right now), -83dBm 15asu Mobile network, GPRS (there is no 3G around us so I turned it off). Model number, GT-I9100 Android version, 2.3.3 Baseband version, I9100XXKE4 Kernel version, 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKE7-CL215725root@DELL103 #2 Build number GINGERBREAD.XWKE7
I have noticed that I am receving the same text 2,3 even sometimes 4 times in a row. In one text coversation this morning with my wife, about 60% of the texts she sent me were received multiple times. (she on Dx2). This happens randomply and with texts received from friends on other carriers. This started happening sometime after one of the last updates, but I have not had a lot of extra time to research it. I did search the forum but found no similiar problems.
For the last couple of days, whenever i download any application, it keeps downloading the same twice. I mean once the download is complete, it again starts the app download from teh beginning. Starting today, its keeps downlaoding without stop
When I sync with my gmail calendar, the same event is showing up 100 times in the same time slot.I have tried clearing my google calendar, removing the email address from my phone and then reinstalling it.The event still comes back.I do not use the desktop manager.
I have a Xperia Neo MT15i. Soon after I upgraded with the latest software it started restarting a few seconds after finished booting up. This only happens when I have a SIM-card in it. I've tried different SIM-cards with from different carriers and I get the same issue and the cards work fine in other smartphones. SD card or not makes no difference.I've got the phone back twice from service and they say they are not even able to recreate the problem, so they just upgrade the software and look happy. So today I did a repair in the PC companion, put the SIM card in, went outside, started the phone and it works for a few minutes without restarting. When I go back inside it immediately restarts.I live in a radio shadow, so I have lousy reception at home and I keep losing service. Reception is between 0-1 signal bars inside, but if I go outside I get 2-3.So my theory is that when the phone looses or is unable to reestablish connection to my service it decides to restart to try again.
