Nokia 5230 gets restart automatically several times a day at least couple of times.Once the screen gets black screen else blue..... Help.Generally this problem is face while I am messaging.
View 12 RepliesWhenever I use my phone (N95 - RM159 v 31.0.017) for video calls or broadband connection the phone getting restarted automatically and it is getting unusual heat as well. So my video calls end up after 3 - 4 minutes talking time and I lost some important calls as well. Please help if you know how to solve it. The problem still persist even after I updated the firmware.

Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

Yesterday, I update the firmware of my phone from v12.0.089 to v20.0.005.The update was done through the Nokia Software Updater and it was successful. However, after that the phone started behaving abnormally and it is getting restarted automatically. For example: whenever any call is coming and I want to receive that call, i click on the receive call button and then the phone gets restarted automatically. Similarly, even if I reject the call, it restarts.Kindly let me know what is the issue and how to fix the same.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLike the title says, my 5230's web browser crashes whenever I try and load a forum thread, I was able to do this a while ago and I've not run out of data or anything, there are no music files, no photos, no apps on the phone. I have reset the settings to factory but nothing has helped.I'm starting to get fed up of this phone, it has good navigation properties but that is just about the only thing it has going for it now.

My Xperia Neo V is restarting automatically several times a day. This makes my phone unreachable. My calls also drop frequently due to this. I contacted customer care. They asked me to reset factory settings. I did, but the problem still persists. However, if i take out the battery and put it again , it works fine for at seven-eight hours without any breakdown.

The answer that I got from Cellcom representatives was funny: Nokia e72 has to null himself from time to time, and it's known issue (so they say that it's normal), and it's all what they can do.The bottom line, they said that restarts and closing applications it is the way that e72 should work
After long conversation they agree to check it in their service labs.. Today I got it back, they told that the phone was reset to default settings and it works now as it have to work (on their opinion).All problems persist, phone may close one of the applications unexpectedly or simple restarts and closing all open applications.

I was thinking maybe because I was using slideshow as my wallpaper or because it had too many songs and pictures. Is it because of those? Is it normal? But in the gallery the playback of these videos sometimes lags (video stops, audio continues or stops too) and sometimes this ends with a restart of the whole phone (display backlight shuts off, screen freezes, then NOKIA shows up and the phone starts again, without asking for PIN, resulting in the standby screen). Usually if I play the same video again, it does not lag. The video is stored on an SDHC 4GB card, class C4. I have installed the latest firmware.Any suggestions?

Is there anything to do but return this brick to the store? My new N900 will reset/restart about every 20 seconds, no matter what I do. I've tried with SIM, without SIM, with and without memory card, on and off charger... Invariably it will reboot within the minute. One time it even said "Device Malfunction. Device shutdown in 10 secs" on the white NOKIA screen. The FW version is 2.2009.51-1, but I can't upgrade to the newest version to see if that solves the problem. When I tried, I only got about half way through the download before the device rebooted again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't find a topic to help but basically my problem isthat using the ovi map application causes a restrart on my phone.The application loads but a minute through it causes the phone to restars or to even turn off.Nokia supports sent me an Email with instruction to install the ovi map on the phone.The problem still persists like before.I have no data plan and I used the internet to load the map. I apprciate any help you can offer.

The phone is totally unusable now. I have been forced to take an old HTC windoes mobile in to action again.Will probably go for an Android now. @Nokia: Not a good action to move all 2G development to India!
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo ive had my Nokia for a few months now, no problems all going fine. Untill recently I tried to uninstall Fring from my phone and it didnt work. So i connected it via usb and then deleted it via my PC. Then a system error message started coming up and I ignored it at first. However my friends were saying they were not recieving some of my calls and texts. So i looked at other forum posts and people reccomened to update the firmware so i did that and now my phone is in major problems. It keeps saying memory full and when i try to access the memory part to clear some stuff it just restarts. sometimes it says vcommand something and restarts but usually it just says memory full and restarts. Its really bugging me and Im considering selling it and buying a Blackberry becaue it is really anoying. Is there anything i can do to solve this or am i screwed?
